I think this new style contract for our older players is a really smart move. Look at what Sheva earned and what we realistically got for our money. I agree we need some fresh legs and creativity. Having said that, I was having a whinge about Abramovich not spending the other day and it was pointed out to me that he has actually spent another £50million on Chelsea in the last year whereas I was trying to say he hasnt given us any money for ages. We seem to have had a damn sight more injuries so far this season but I havent seen anyone suggesting Scolari's a demi-god for keeping us in contention. Thats not to say I rate him, its just a comparison. Yes, Jose was the most successful manager in Chelsea history but he also spent more money than anyone in our history. If Scolari had shitloads of money to bring in anyone he chooses, he might do just as well and all. Personally, I think Scolari will be around til the summer and Rijkaard will take over then - something just makes me think this was the plan all along.

Wolves wont be happy, they really like Mancienne there. I think its a good move for us to get him back, its looking more likely Alex will go and the way JT and Carvalho's fitness have been this season, there's no point risking being without cover. Besides, its about time we started using some of our younger players instead of farming them out all the time.

He's got absolutely nothing to base his prediction on, our form is hardly title winning, Scolari's untested in the PL and if even a bit of the rumours we're hearing are true, then we're hardly a 'team' right now either. Besides, Deco's possibly the last player who should be talking about what we will or wont do.
