  1. Need to keep playing well with this lead and get another. Sick of us playing like a 5-aside once we get 1 goal ahead. Especially at the back.
  2. Mikel and Ramires getting nutmegged in succession pretty much sums up the state of our pivot!
  3. Very narrow team...I think one of Willian/Schurrle should always start to give a bit of width. But hey, let's see how it goes!
  4. It's only a matter of time as far as I can see. If he leaves Southampton it'll be for us. Even if the likes of United or City came in for him, I don't think we'd allow them to bid for him unchallenged...at least I hope not.
  5. A lot of people are like: Or And I'm pretty much like: I'm not too worried. I know if we get our counter-attacking game going we can do some serious damage (e.g. Munich). Hazard, Willian and Schurrle in particular are all more than capable of causing havoc for any defence, nevermind Arsenals (which isn't great). The pressure is mostly on them remember. We may even win...so people stop being so negative!
  6. Jesus, take off the blue specs for a second. Messi and Ronaldo also play with the best players in the world. The majority of the World Cup and European Cup winning squad is split between each team, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Alonso, Isco not to mention Bale, Sanchez, Neymar, Di Maria etc. The list goes on. Suarez plays with Henderson, Sterling, Moses, Flanagan etc. see the difference? Even Gerrard and Sturridge are injured but this is the second time in a week he's had a hand in ALL of Liverpool's goals in a game. That's 8 goals... No one can deny he is in Messi/Ronaldo territory at the moment; 19 goals in 11 games? He's basically single-handedly put Liverpool in top spot. Seriously, there's biased, there's ridiculously biased and then there's you.
  7. Please tell me who. Who said they want Rafa now and not José? I would pay for you to give me one (credible) name of who said that.
  8. Parking the bus with the state of this defence at the moment is an absolute deathwish. Arsenal even decided to park the bus at Old Trafford and they were well beaten in all honesty. I hope José realises being negative won't help. The only way we're getting anything out of the game is by attacking them. Their defence isn't great once you get at them e.g. City. Schurrle, Willian, Hazard can do serious damage on the counter. Hopefully that's what José goes for instead.
  9. Ah, leave Choulo be. He's just suspicious of every DM/CM expect ones that begin with 'M', end in 'L' and rhymes with 'Jikel'.
  10. I don't care if he's a 'shit Ramires' or not. Anything is better than last night's midfield, anybody would improve it. Can't we just be fucking happy it's not another attacking-midfielder?!!
  11. Yes José inherited the squad, but you can also argue that he had the entire summer to address its deficiencies. Every man and his dog knew that we were in dire need of a top quality DM but instead we buy MVG who is seen as 'one for the future' (I've nothing against him and I hope he comes back asap). He tried to make Lampard his 'Pirlo', which is completely laughable when you honestly think about it. And wanted to play him, a 35 year old, in almost every game while never giving the likes of Chalobah or Aké a chance. As for the striker problem, I think the less said about that the better. I mean, bringing in a semi-retired Eto'o and loaning a guy who scored twice as much as Torres in the league last season, and in a lot less minutes? Seriously? Not to mention spending £30m on a AM which could've been better invested in literally ANY OTHER POSITION AT ALL. My point is, even if José is making these signings or not, he had his chance in the summer to put his foot down and say "I need at least 1 quality DM and/or ST" or "I want to develop 1 or 2 youth players this season" or "We don't need a £30m AM, the squad needs investment in other areas" etc. etc., but he didn't. And I think that's why some people are annoyed, because they thought José would address these deficiencies straight away instead of waiting for another transfer window and going through yet another 'season of transition'.
  12. The Chelsea defence: making shit teams look World Class.
  13. If he's useless, what is Ba? Because he has him in his pocket.
  14. He's still very young, so I wouldn't comment on his spirit just yet. But sadly, I think you're right. He needs to go somewhere he'll be appreciated; It's clear he relies heavily on confidence. ...he did well there though!
  15. We scored from a cross on the right! Coincidence? I think not...
  16. It seems it's all a little too late for KDB. A combination of lack of game time, lack of enthusiasm and a want for the January window. Sad.
  17. He'd still get a great reception and If we're knocked out by Gala, then we'll probably deserve to go out. Shit happens. I wouldn't get hung up on it just because our former player did it. Personally, I love that it'll be a competitive match instead of a testimonial or something. Just view it as destiny like that night in Munich and try to enjoy it as much as you can, because Didier won't be around forever... That said, this tie is still ours for the taking. Our manager and defenders know Didier inside out. Remember when Lucio put Drogba in his pocket? A lot of that was down to Mourinho. I'm sure there's no one better to mark Didier than JT. And Didier can't help their back line or goalkeeper. We'll be absolutely fine if our boys show up.
  18. Because it's not just about what shirt you're wearing. His shirt may be red, but we all know his heart is blue. He is a Chelsea legend and made history for us with his last kick of a ball. Many fans didn't get to properly thank him for that and now they'll get that opportunity; I expect nothing but a fantastic reception for him before and after the game.
  19. Barca aren't what they once were, but they should just about beat City. I expect City to score, I just expect Barca *cough* Messi *cough* to score more.
  20. So many things to be happy about right now!!
  21. That's hilarious! There's not a chance in hell you'd get him for that now, especially to another PL team! Maybe during the summer, but even with his contract down another year, you still wouldn't get him for that price now. Especially when you think about Van Persie being sold for £25m with only 1 year remaining on his contract. Suarez is younger and is single-handedly dragging an average Liverpool up the table. He's scored 17 goals in 11 games for Christ's sake! No one can deny that it's Messi/Ronaldo territory. It doesn't matter anyway, if he keeps going like this Real will be in for him during the summer for at least £60m+ (He won't go beyond Bale money though, he is nowhere near as marketable as Bale).
