I can't say I thought the same! Sanchez was quality at Udinese and good at Barca but a bit too direct for them, though he still managed to give me a heart attack in 2012 when his chip hit the post! Such a force compared to the passive Willian/Oscar. Perplexing why Mourinho wasn't interested.

City won the title last year because both us and Liverpool threw it away, nothing more. They will continue to be vulnerable at the back. For each game they could either blow people away with their firepower, or look like a bunch on individual mercenaries who still have the capability to loose any game. I'm not overly worried to be honest.

I know the Liverpool Torres was a long time ago in terms of football, but there is no way you can say he was technically limited and insinuate he was simply a speed merchant. A speed merchant is someone like SWP, but THAT Torres had so much more to his game than that. His dribbling, positioning, first touch and finishing were all world class and he was good enough at holding up the ball and very comfortable as a lone striker. You can't look at something like this and say he simply relied on pace: Look at the compilation of his Liverpool goals as well and see others displaying fantastic technical abilities. Yes, pace was very much part f his game, but he was too mentally weak to adapt. The £50m tag and expectation crushed what little confidence he had left (he still managed to score two great goals against us just before we bought him) and ruined his touch, dribbling and finishing accordingly. Falcao might be more technically gifted than Torres was, but pace was still a big part of his game (see his goal vs Real) and he's mentally stronger than Torres. The only difference that might make is possibly 10 more goals and a few extra assists a season - not a great deal better than Torres in all honesty, and not even half of what he was. No word of a lie, Charlie Austin would be a better buy in terms of a 2nd striker.

Physically the same, yes. Mentally? Falcao seems stronger. That's it.
