  1. No, just no. I mentioned it in this thread some time ago, he had the chances and played for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga 2 (?) years ago and was more than disappoiting and ended up sitting on the bench after 7 appearances and no goals. He had his chance to play in a European top league and failed, so I think there are far better options for us. At least there should be.
  2. Not feeling very positive about this one. Ba would be a lot better option, if his wage demands would decrease. Is there any reason this is just a trick of the management for the negotations with Demba Ba? Like "Well, if you want such high wages, we're not gonna sign you, we have another good striker in hand" (which is likely to happen at this stage btw).
  3. If that's true, what a greedy cunt. I really hope we don't offer him that much. What a dilemma, we need a new striker very quickly and Ba and his agent seem to know that. I hope this is just to make the most out of a fast transfer and his wage demands will decrease as the January draws to a close, because he seemed like the perfect January transfer in contrary to most of the other options that are discussed in the media.
  4. Paying Malouda for nothing, but we can't afford to give Lamps a new contract because of high wages? No way, and I'm sure he'd accept a decrease of his wages. Our midfield indeed will be crowded next year, but I think especially in the pivot, we still have a place for him. Essien and Josh will come back, but that's ok, so we can rotate a lot more.
  5. Why can't we? He performs well, has experience is a leader and for his age is still quite fit. Why can't we offer him a new contract? Even if it's just one more year with an option based on his appearances.
  6. The team really showed character to come back after aweful first 25 minutes. Besides Lamps, I think Ramires was our best player because he and Mata created most of our chances. I don't think Mata was bad at all, the whole team sucked in the beginning though.
  7. This. Especially if they aren't a significant improvement to the current squad.
  8. Best player we can go for in January. Cheap fee and a good goal scoring record which will surely extend when he plays with our attacking mid. Let's do this! I think this is the perfect way to go, if Lukaku is pleased with it. Our attack striker would be solved!
  9. Come on folks, follow me, if you want to: https://twitter.com/plymkr10
  10. Yeah, he's scored 4 in the last 2, he's the old Nino!!
  11. Was loaned out to Wolfsburg 2 years ago and didn't score in 7 disappointing apps for them in the Bundesliga, might be a good player for Anderlecht, but not a target for Chelsea.
  12. That 3-0 and 6-0 was just pure class. I don't care if winter or summer, just get him!
  13. They by far didn't play their first 11 and the mentality could've been a problem, because they knew they were through already. Really liked Rosicky though. 1 goal, 1 clearance off the line and a pass accuracy of 96% which is immense.
  14. At least that doesn't make it that embarissing if we're going out, too. And in contrast to City, we're definitely gonna reach Euro League. Btw, Arsenal is behind against Olympiakos.
  15. If you mean that we're trying to attract him to come here (hope I understood that right), nah, I think that goes too far. In my opinion, it's an world-football evolution (at least at the bigger teams) that seems to come with the domination of the 4-2-3-1. Most of the teams prefer a rather small attacking mid. And I think especially in England, when you come up against physically strong defensive sides, it seems to me that we're lacking that strength in our attack. Yeah, some coaches may want to reproduce the Barcelona style of play or interpret it in their way, but to me that (especially in our team where we have Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Moses, Piazon, Marin, ...) goes a little to far and a team should always be variable in their style of play and I don't see the point in buying a player that we have enough of in our squad.
  16. Another Brazilian? Also another small atacking midfielder? I think with Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Moses, Marin, Piazon,... we have enough of this type of player. I'd appreciate going for a tall (min 180) playmaker/attacking mid to produce some physical strength in the attacking third.
  17. Don't worry about this. Either he pisses of when Cavani or Falcao arrive, or we do it like Inter does it with Sneijder and give him the options to warm the bench for 4 years or decrease his wages drastically. The difference to Inter is: Instead of Sneijder, he'd warm the bench in both options...
  18. I think 15m is an ok price for him and in contrast to what we'd have to pay for Falcao or Cavani, the risk is lower. Still need one of them imo and get Robert as a second striker and maybe play with 2 strikers. Also, we could do a lot more rotation.
  19. He will stay in Dortmund until the end of the season for sure, but if we really want to sign him, there's a great chance in the summer. Robert's contract expires in 2014 which means, if BVB still wants a trasfer fee for him, they have to sell him in summer. I'm not sure if Lewandowski will sign a new contract. The media says that the talks so far have showed that he more likely will leave the club. You must know, Lewandowskis next contract is going to be the one, where he'll be on top of his form and Dortmund don't have financial opportunities like we have seeing as the transfer of Reus where they paid 17m transfer fee was claimed to be the "transfer of the century" for them. If we want to sign him, we have good chances, but in summer. I like Robert, he's a class striker, but not a world class striker as Falcao or Cavani. But he'd definitely fit into the English football, I think.
  20. Mourinho and Real are definitely gonna part ways in summer. According to German newspapers Benitez and Löw are the wishes of Perez.
  21. I can see a future for both. Rotation is the word. It also pretty much depends on what players we're gonna buy for the double pivot. I can also see a chance Josh being loaned to a Premier League club next season.
  22. Sure, Mikel just HAD TO go there to adjust his shin guards! What a boss!
  23. We don't need Hamsik. If the club thinks we need another option in the attacking mid, it'd be much more realistic to call back KDB, but I don't think we will. Also, I don't think Napoli will sell their 2 best players in January (to the same club).
  24. I got a little misunderstood there. I didn't mean that Hart was a better keeper than Cech, he'll never be! But I meant the performance of heart in comparison with Given's performance back then. Hart just waited for his chance and when it came, he used it, that's what I meant, sorry again. I think he knows that it'll be difficult to get the keeper's spot at Chelsea as long as Petr is here, but he did that back when he signed the contract here. I think this boy has an aim and the ability and the talent to achieve it, if he's patient. If the time has come when we don't loan him at the beginning of the season, he'll get his chances for sure. He can play F.A. Cup, COC matches and so on. We have the room in our game schedule for that. There is a danger to loose him, as long as he doesn't get his chances, the officials need to be aware of that. He's got a contract until 2016 which is a lot of time and many things can happen. We have to watch him develop more and more and if there's an offer for him of another club the board has to make the decision. And that pretty much depends on Petr's performances in the future.
