What a victory! Great Sunday
-
If we play our best, there is no need to get physical. Of course Nemanja will have to show power in the middle, and the defence as well, but i don't see any need of a physical fight.

Thanks :-) How many Danes do we have in here?

Hazard will be more than a mouthfull for Chambers!

Great news!

Eidur Gudjohnsen Overhead Kick against Leeds
TheChelseaDane replied to Hamilton's topic in Chelsea Gold
Eidur was actually close to signing with FC Copenhagen(my city) a couple of weeks ago. Too bad they didn't sign him. Would have been fun seeing him in the streets of Copenhagen- 59 replies

Everyone loves Bendtner in Denmark - a true legend! Bet he's on todays tabloid papers frontage, without having been out of the house yet, I would say so One thing though, he always plays well on the National team, which is the most important thing for me. It helped us that he was useless at Gooners, and I don't really care if he's crap at Juventus, Wolfsburg etc etc
-
I am really looking forward to this game! Clash of the London titans. Costa & Oscar smashing Mertesacker & Koscielny. Eden playing games with Chambers. Willian tricking Gibbs. Fabre tearing their midfield apart. Matic not giving Wilshere & Ramsey a moments chance of playing a ball in depth. JT & Cahill having Welbeck and Özil in their back pockets. Brana closing down Sanchez. Azpi running the energy out of the Ox. And finally Thi-Boout, not giving their finishers a seconds glimpse. Come on you blues!
-
Well, Welbeck having a cracker game. Never disliked him though, just United who used him wrong. Hopefully this will mean that we'll not underestimate them - not that I thought Mou would allow that!

What is Schürrle offering the team? Come on Schürlle is Schürrle, a great play who just won the world cup with Germany. He is quick on his feet, a good finisher(even though we haven't seen it the last games, especially vs Sporting.) Admitted, I am a Schürrle fan, and it is just my opinion that he is a couple of steps in front of Salah. Not to say that I don't like Salah. I think he is a very gifted play, who's technique is admirable
-
Can't in any way see Salah in front of Schürrle, even though Andre hasn't play that well lately. IMO Salah is still a good way behind Andre.
-
Matic was an absolute beast yesterday, and is invaluable to our team. The way he uses his strength, his vision for the play without ball, his runs and so on, is a joy to watch.
-
Boro is maybe not a option - but there must certainly be other clubs in which he could be of interest. You're right, he is young, and developing quite fine in the U21 team, but a loan at a CH club with more spectators, playing against more experienced players etc, would be of more interest both for him and the club. Kalas will hopefully get his change - let's hope he is still developing into the German lifestyle
-
Yiks. Could have been a killer for you! Glad that we're playing sunday as well, as I am working saturday

As a Chelsea Dane, I am interrested in hearing your opinion on this lad. Here in Denmark, expectations are big towards him, and people call him an amazing talent. I agree to this, but I would love to see him play more(Loan, League Cup etc.). It seems as if we've gotten quite a nice partnership with Middlesbrough(Blackman, Bamford, Big Ken..). Could a loan towards Boro be of interest? I know that Andreas wants to play at a higher level, but a season or half-season in The Championship would definitely give him some hair on his chest. But if loaned to Boro would he even get playtime? Ayala and Big Ken seems to be doing quite well up there. What about other options? Vitesse, another CH club? Would love to see him in the starting XI over the next years, as it would definitely give the blues some more airing time on Danish TV, and just because he's a Dane
-
Lamps scored a goal against us, would be happy to see Cesc doing the same against Gunners! OT: It's a fucking delight seeing him play for us. Dictates the game in midfield, memorable passes, what a joy!
-
I have a hard time seeing Mou dropping Brana. I think that Mou sees him as one of the first on the starting XI. Brana has been in the team so many years now, and is an absolutely vital part of the team. His presence on the pitch is invaluable. Furthermore he is a vital part of the locker room as well. Luis is a great player and great signing as well, but the way the team is playing in the Prem at the moment, why should we change the back 4? Dave is so trustworthy. He never plays a bad game, and always fights 100% - even though he is not playing his natural position! Luis will get his changes, and be more and more integrated in the starting XI during the season, and become a first team regular, no doubt about that.
-
Anyways, hoping to see a lineup like this: Thibaut Brana Cahill Terry Dave Matic Fabre Willian Oscar Eden Costa Willian seems to be in great form at the moment, playing really well against Villa, and had a fine half an hour yesterday. Dunno if Gunners are playing Gibbs or Monreal, but I rate Willian's technique over Schürrle's speed in this game. Schürrle didn't have his best match yesterday, and I reckon Mou playing Willian over him. Other than that, no surprises. The team seems in great form, and Costa's fitness is my only concern. I can't see Remy playing the whole second half, if the score is equal. Costa is an absolute beast, and his physical presence should scare big Mertesacker & Koscielny, rather than Remy. That being said, I can see Remy getting 20+ minutes, as his speed could kill them as well. I see some mentioning Salah in the lineup, which would surprise me a lot if he is to find in there. Don't get me wrong, I like Salah's technique, but no way I can see Mou picking him for the starting XI.
-
Wilshere can be fit all he wants, freaking overrated anyway.
-
He had a 1on1 with the goalie after 2-3 minutes, which he missed. All in all an approved game from him. The man is an absolute monster!

Closed Sporting Lisbon 0-1 Chelsea
TheChelseaDane replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Match Chat
Uhf, it was not to be THAT close a victory - had me by the edge of the sofa. Even though the win was never really in danger, 1-0 is still a dangerous victory. Kudos to their goalkeeper though, who had a tremendous match. Matic was IMO play of the match. In total control in midfield - it's a pleasure to watch him control that part of the field game after game. Schürrle should have scored, Costa should have scored, Oscar should have scored, but it was Matic who scored a wonderful header. Good game lads. Let's have our eyes on The Gooners now :-) -
Seems like a victory today. Schurrle not playing the game of his life, but I am confident that the boys will pull home a win. Come on Blues!
-
Great lineup imo. Come on you Blues!
-
Good game tonight lads! :-)

Poor fella. Mourinho made it quite clear that Oscar was his main #10, so come on guys, you can't blame the man for changing. Of course, it did hurt a bit that he chose Man United, but why shouldn't he? United were probably the ones who offered the biggest check, and if weather we like it or not, they are one of the biggest clubs on this planet. We got a very nice fee for a man who was benching it more than playing, and Mata got to play every time(back then). I wanna see him succeed, and a move back to Valencia could be the right thing for him. Can't take Atl. Madrid out of the equation neither. Top team, who could probably help Mata in the right direction again. #FreeJuan!
