Maybe wages are low in general in Italy, but I don't think Chiellini's is one of them I believe there are more signings available than you present. Hummels is of course a major asset, Godin likewise. But there is also Jerome Boateng. Big player, which could be available when Martinez comes back from injury (&Badstuber). Ezequiel Garay. Still young, and seems to be getting better and better. Chiellini is 31 next summer. I would rather that we spend our money on something younger, with a little more future in it

Can't believe some of the things I am reading in here. People wishing for Pogba/Vidal/Reus. What about Matic if we get Pogba/Vidal? Can't imagine any of them wanting to sit on the bench in the big games, and the way Matic - Cesc are playing, they are not going anywhere in the starting lineup. Admitted, Reus was one of my wish-signings last summer, but do we need him now? Quiet frankly; no. We have Hazard/Oscar/Willian/Schürrle/Ramires/Salah covering 3 positions.

Schürrle still has a big star in my book. Great player, who shows he wants this project, and always gives himself 100%. He's had a few bad games now, and maybe should be given some time on the bench. We have great players on the bench too. That being said I see Andre as an indispensable part of the team, and very, very important.

Agreed. The ONLY thing we "need" is a CB. Zouma looks good, but is a 'for the future signing'. If Cahill or Terry is injured we have to play him(or Brana in there), and I would rather have 3 world class CB's. Let's see how this season develops. Terry isn't getting younger, and I see us signing a world class CB next summer.

Reus will probably end up in Bayern, like everyone else - unfortunately! I would have loved seeing him at us a year ago, but given the way things are going now, we don't really need him. But, things change in football, and he is a wonderful footballer!
