He is actually underrated IMO But he is not answer to our midfield "problems", I think we need better player but he would be nice backup.

Because they brought Witsel for around 7M, one of their highest transfer fees and their highest transfer fee of summer 2011. Matić was for free ... when Witsel made way for Matić they won league, both domestic cups and double time runners up in Europa league.

Very limited player, I would say he is bad version of Matić You just can't (or shouldn't) play with Witsel - Matić in central midfield. You need one player who is holding midfielder (big, strong, good tackler, jumpy - Matić) and one who drags forward, who is main creative player of the team (creativity, passing, ball control, vision, hard work, tackling - surely not Witsel). Fabregas is too weak for this role and if he plays nr.10 and Witsel - Matić are behind him, he won't get much time on the ball. What we need is more creative and hardworking midfielder like Pogba or Schneiderlin. Witsel is too expensive to be backup for Matić. Zouma can take this role or if we bring Pogba/Schneiderlin they surely know how to play restrained role in midfield without going forward too much and with Fabregas/Ramires/RLC alongside

Maybe not "world class" but some players available are much, much better than Costa and big upgrade to players we have on right winger and also with potential to become "world class" - Reus, Griezmann, Sterling, Di Maria and maybe even Bale. The same goes for midfield players, we need one who can play in big matches because Fabregas can't play deep if we defend pretty much all the time. I think we could go for Pogba, because Allegri wants Oscar. We should include him in deal and add something like 30M and 22 years old beast is ours for next 10-12 seasons On the other hand players like Kondogbia, Gundogan, Naingollan and Schneiderlin are also perfect suited for Mourinho system ... think about Matić. Did you rate him world class playing in Benfica? He is world class now, for sure If we get two of mentioned players, we will win the league I think Falcao deal is just a shred move by Mourinho so we can get some more Jorge Mendes's players (Griezmann/Di Maria and Varane). I rate Schneiderlin and Gundogan highly so I won't be dissapointed if we miss on Pogba and get one of those two players

I don't know why we should buy players like Douglas Costa and Song? Traore, Salah or Moses are all players from same quality level and can take rotational role. As same goes for Loftus-Cheek or Van Ginkel. What we need is two world-class players that will add quality to our first 11 - right winger and central midfielder. Some additions in back 4 is only bonus but we should firstly sort out what we need.

So we are buying a player who is substitution for Willian ... meh .. What we really need is world class winger. We have too much squad and promising players in this position (Salah, Moses, Traore, ... )

I am not sure about adding players like Douglas Costa, because we don't need squad players. We need some world class quality in front 3 attacking midfield positions and probably even in midfield because Fabregas seems lost in big games ... he is more nr.10 than holding midfielder Player like Naingollan, Gundogan, Vidal, Schneiderlin would be perfect Rather include some young players from loan and academy for rotation instead of buying average players We need some big quality this summer and this is it. What about striker and central defender? I wouldn't buy a new striker .. If we can get one experienced striker on loan for one year and than Bamford can take his place, this would be a nice move. Otherwise Solanke or Bamford as 3rd striker this year. And the same goes for central defender ... we would probably need some depth on CB position, but with Terry and Cahill probably playing 90% of all games it's not that urgent. I can't see Varane coming here and being fine with bench. IMO Tomaš Kalaš is great rotational player who can also play RB where we don't have real sub for Ivanović.

Loaning to Premier league club can be risky. He could easily be 2nd or 3rd striker with low playing minutes ... I think another year in Middelsbrough will do him good. He is their main man, main striker, in a pretty strong league. One year loan there and he can attack top scorer and help Boro reach the Premier league

What about Konoplyanka? Free transfer in the summer ... really tricky, fast player that is not lazy, he can defend. I was impressed with him in knockout stages of Europa League.

Gareth Bale and central midfielder (Gundogan, Vidal, Koke) Sell some players (Drogba, Mikel, Ramires, Filipe Luis) and promote some youngsters (Loftus-Cheek backup to Matić, Ake backup to Azpi, Solanke or Bamford 3rd striker, Omeruo or Kalaš backup to Ivanović). Also try to find out what to do with senior players out on loan (Moses, Salah, Romeu, Van Ginkel, Marin) I would not miss Oscar at all ... he is good guy, but this is football. He is not consistent enough and he also lack some qualities for highest level, his decision making in final third is poor. I would rather bring in some loanee or youngster for 5th attacking midfielder alongisde Hazard, Willian, Cuadrado and Bale. We don't need 2-3 senior players for one position, rather bring 2 quality players to first 11 and promote some youngsters or bring back loanees for backup players.

This! We have too much attacking players that can't produce something big in attacking third. Like Oscar, WIllian and Ramires when he plays right winger role. I was really pleased when we signed Cuadrado because he can offer something like Hazard on the left wing. He has very good dribbling skills, he is fast, he can beat opponents 1on1 ... but Mourinho wants everybody except Hazard and Costa to track back and play in back line. So he prefers Willian or Ramires on right wing because they run a lot but they can't produce something big in attacking third ! I would love to see Cuadrado playing or if we go for Pedro in the summer ... but what is the point? Mourinho would play Willian or Ramires over him anyway :/ I love attacking football so IMO we need better nr.10 and right winger (or play Cuadrado!). But with Mou we need some more defensive midfielders to play nr.10 and right winger

I think he should be in Chelsea next season ... loans to big clubs are very risky (Atsu). They have a lot of quality players and they will often "push forward" their own youngsters and players even if they are not as good as loanees. cr But under Mourinho I can't see him gettin a lot of minutes here. And also our transfers made a lot of crowd in his position (AMC - AML/R -> Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Cudrado, Remy*, Ramires*, Fabregas*, Piazon, Salah, Atsu, Moses and a lot of youth talents)

Have you watched any Colombia game at World cup? Cuadrado is amazing attacking prospect But you have to look at his position .. he was playing alongside back 4 as a right back and Ivanović moved to CB when we were defending. So his attacking prospect in counter attacks is "killed" with this approach. I think he has much to offer but we have to attack and press against this smaller teams .. otherwise there is only Hazard who will look good in attack just because he has roaming freedom and don't have to defend deep

And Mourinho will not bring any other player with bigger attacking prospect just because they have workrate in terms of defense ... I am not sure why he brough Cuadrado He didn't play Mata .. he didn't play Schurrle ... he doesn't play Cuadrado ... and we are pointing at players saying "Ramires is horrible" and so on. NO! He is not horrible, he is a big fighter with big heart, he runs a lot, he can intercept but he can't create goals. He is played out of position just because Mourinho wants his right winger to track all the way back and play Right back when we are defending and nr.10 to play very, very deep also. Ramires is a ball winning midfielder and you can not expect him to create goals. Just like you can't expect from Hazard or Fabregas to play Ramires's role of ball winning player.
