Stones over him? Being good (good for a defender!) on the ball doesn't make you a good defender (David Luiz?)
-
Both Lukaku and Stones are overrated and overpriced We have more than enough talent on CB position (Zouma, Miazga, Christiansen, ..) and that's why we have to look for quality defender thah can actually do his job - DEFEND! Someone like Koulibaly would be perfect fit Lukaku has great strenght and speed but he lacks the most important skill for attacker - composure at finishing. He had a lot of chances at Everton (more than he would have at Chelsea IMO) and he wasn't very clinical.
-
Manchester United without Champions league signed Di Maria, Rojo, Shaw and Herrera in summer of 2014. Even Falcao joined them and he had a pretty good season and reputation back then. Money is bigger than principles these days .. you will see Leicester players like Mahrez and Kante leaving even for no European football
-
He has caught my eye while playing for Sunderland really interesting player
-
Where do you see his position if we play 3-5-2 next season? He is not suited to be winger/wingback but he could do well as second striker, something like Dybala did for Juve this season?
-
He will be our key player next year Perfect player for Conte .. hardworking all-around midfielder
-
I am not sure about Baker either tbh But Van Ginkel is a pretty interesting player ... he could be rotation player for Fabregas in deep lying playmaker position
-
Ake, Baker and Van Ginkel also. Too bad that the latest had so many injuries in most important years of his career but he is playing great in PSV.
-
Sorry to point it out but I think we will get destroyed by motivated Spurs
-
It is very sad that Baba will be back on the bench when Terry is back and Ivanovic will be against Di Maria on Stamford Bridge This is why we need manager who trust in young players because Baba brought a great perfomance tonight on the big stage .. well done
-
At least Ivanovic won't be against their fast wingers (Moura or Lavezzi). Terry would be a big benefit in deep defensive system but on the other side I think Ivanovic on the right side would be a bigger drawback Let's go CHELSEA !!!
-
I am really starting to like Allegri Great perfomance by Juventus tonight, they have outplayed flying and attacking Napoli ... their winning streak is now 15 games long #impressive
-
I hope that John Terry will recover soon but on the other hand this is currently and finally our strongest lineup playing (Zouma should be there instead of Cahill)
-
I think a lot of Chelsea fans will be on a "scouting mission" while watching Juventus - Bayern match
-
No Hazard and Matić - Mikel ... this has to be the first game this season that I am not going to watch
-
Can you tell us something more about him or his "style" ?
-
@Blue_Fox ... who do you rate higher - Allegri or Conte? I would have to say Allegri
-
He lost every European match that counted, apart from that 3-0 win over Chelsea but on the other Allegri went almost all the way with the same team and made a big fight against Barcelona in final. Not a fan of Italian coaches at all, too defensive and too tactical
-
I think that Arsenal have the best team in England but they are pretty unlucky with all the injuries and their bench is poor. On the other hand all top English teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, City, United) are making pretty stupid, wannabe bargain buys in last seasons. This fact has contributed that league is even more close than ever with mid table clubs doing better buys (Payet, Deulofeu, Cabaye, Wijnaldum ..). It's not a big surprise that english clubs are bad in Europe. Manchester City also needs rebuilding, especially in their midfield with Yaya being beyond his best years and Fernando, Fernandinho and Delph not quite quality enough. But yes, they are probably the most motivated team in England that can splash a lot of money (De Bruyne, Sterling).
-
To be honest, we were playing really poor football in new season under him and he also didn't reach the expectations in Schalke On the other hand Gianfranco Zola did a really good in West Ham and Watford, playing free flowing attacking football. Sampaoli, Favre and Koemann are my top candidates
-
-
We should divide managers/players in two sections only: good and bad. And he is very good end of story. If you want European experience than we should go for Capello and play boring football once again Just don't bring any "tactical" coach, who will defend with 11 men against any decent opponent. I want to see desire that we can overplay any team in the world. We should hire a manager with passion and desire to work here and to build his own team, he should be given time to bring team back to title race, we shouldn't demand an instant success. I wouldn't mind Eddie Howe here, his team is playing free flowing attacking football with two main attacking players out injured (Wilson and Gradel). My only concern is his age, so I prefer Sampaoli. But Eddie Howe is good, big future ahead of this coach
-
+1 ... very prone to make mistakes he shouldn't have even though he is very young. People are forgetting that passing and ball control aren't his prime duties as center back, his overall defending and physical attributes are. One more overrated english player IMO
-
We have the biggest squad depth in Premier league So many good talents on loan and also in our squad. We have to sign biggest young talents (wonderkids) or world class players, just don't buy any average players. Loanees and young talents in squad: CB: Christiansen Wingback: Ake, Baba Central midfield: RLC, Pašalić, Van Ginkel Attacking midfield: Kenedy, Traore, Musonda, Boga Striker: Solanke Integrate (some of) those youngsters in first team, keep the best players that are capable to produce on top level (both GKs, Azpi, Zouma, Terry as leader and not starting CB, Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Costa, Pato??), sell some average (aged) players (Cahill, Ivanovic, Mikel, Matic, Pedro, Oscar, Remy) and bring some really quality players that can really add quality to the team (CB, DM, CM) Just my opinion Depends on market situation but I am not even sure I would keep Fabregas.
