Reddish-Blue got a reaction from mkh in Enzo Maresca Thread
Who exactly was he "forced" to play by the owners?
Most of the team picks itself when fit. The only players who wouldn't be guaranteed game time are:
Tosin, Badi, George, Facundo and Gittens.
Hato seemed like a long term signing, Josh is from the academy and Guiu was only brought back because they thought Delap may not be ready by January.
Even if they did "pick" the team, the fact that he had no plan B in multiple games has nothing to do with ownership and more to do with his limited tactical skills (remember that he was a Championship level manager before getting the chance at Chelsea).

It's not leftfield. He has been the best club manager in South America for several years. He knows Estevao like the back of hid hand as well.

I think Estevao will be fine regardless. Hs is a real talent & needs continuity in the team.
The likes of Joao Pedro, Santos, Fernandez - they just need a kick up the arse or in Santos’ case, more minutes also.
Talent is there just too inconsistent. Have bee saying the same thing about Enzo Fernandez for about 3 seasons now. Goal contributions have definitely stat padded his last 18 months but we need more in general play, particularly without the ball and in duels, he is hopeless in that area.

Abel Ferreira is very left field but surely you’re joking 😂 Who’d be next on the list? Jorge Jesus? Dunga?

I wouldn't mind Abel Ferreira but I doubt he leaves Palmeiras for us.

Plenty of managers will still come, its like any project, even if they do poorly, they will still get a nice payout at the end of the day.
We all knew Potter was out of his depth at Chelsea and yet he got the job because of "Brighton connections"
Think the problem is, how many QUALITY managers will want to come in mid-season?

Glasner would be available from end of the season, maybe he can convince Guehi to join his academy club again! 😆
However i don't see the board going for him.

Chelsea no longer have the spending power because of how Clearlake have made us fall within fouling of UEFA FFP rules. Havent even secured a shirt sponsor to help amend matters.

No worries by the time the 9th year rolls in they might announce a shirt deal.

I think his plan B was to get another CB after the Colwill injury, but honestly he should have just given Acheampong more opportunities ar CB instead of deploying him at RB or leaving him on the bench.

TheHulk spitting truth.
A guy with our offensive firepower can't even get close to a competent offence.
"Its the sporting directors!!!"
Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth... all similar goals to us. Man United with all their problems... more goals than us.
Get real. Stop blaming the squad. Every team has gaps. We need a CB, a LW and maybe a ST (I'm not convinced seeing as Maresca stagnates any offensive movement). Plenty of teams out there need as much if not more and are competing with us.

I think Tosin was a beneficiary of the rotation policy the directors have enforced along with Maresca. It took several back to back awful performances for him to be dropped, but its probably only a matter of time before he gets restored to the lineup.
Players being played out of position, like Gusto at LB, is a Maresca thing for sure. The terrible first half with Acheampong at RB & Gusto at LB was all down to him.

Put it this way, I feel like we've reached our level with Maresca as manager (floating around 4th to 6th every season).
For me, he just doesn't have that extra gear that Mourinho/Conte/Tuchel/Ancelotti had.
The most frustrating thing about this season and even today's game was: no one was keen to take the game on at home in the 2nd half. Where's the shots on target, wheres the run and dribble to create a potential free kick or penalty.
Seemed like the players were satisfied with a point

Maresca only cares about brand maresca.
When teams are slower than us and play openly, such as in Europe - his style looks good.
Anywhere else where you either have a low block or a team with equal or more energy than us - get ready for a loss.
Don't even get me started on favoritism or playing players out of position.

I haven’t watched the last 4 games and will not watch any more until the manager is gone and any one who knows me on this forum knows I like to give managers a chance, I’ve checked out

Once we lose/draw a few more games, you won't be so relaxed watching our games.
Those dropped points to Sunderland, Leeds and a few others will come back to bite us at the end of the season.
United aren't even serious and yet they are tied on points with us and they will get some good players back after AFCON finishes.

If Arsenal start pushing for Jacquet, we won't get him.

The only thing separating us is goal difference. Weve won/drawn/lost the same amount so just depends who is worse at the end.
Liverpool can go 5 clear if they win when they play so think be hard to catch they've found form.
But this shouldn't be where we are! Not after all these years of building. We used to mock Arsenal fans for their 4th place celebrations now thats us
