Wow. But I'm not shocked. He was exactly the type of striker Jose was looking for. Linkup play + workhorse + goals
-
Exactly the word I was looking for, Underused. If we look at his touches per match, we should be making him have the highest touches in our team, that would bring out the best in him and prevent him drifting out of games.

It was always known luiz and oscar play massively well for Brazil than Chelsea. Its not mou's tactics because it was still the same under RDM and Benitez. But his early season form was comparable to how he plays for Brazil though
-
Wow. And he doesn't even touch the ball as much as I would like. Just imagine him given total freedom, no defensive duties, his stats will rise by 40%
-
Get the ball to hazard everytime and make runs around him to take away his markers, we'll score goals then.

Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?

I liked dragozev before, but we have too much in that position and we want to make sure we get our priorities right which is striker and leftback. Then mobile passer and box to box cm come next. Before we consider anything else. -

When we have our striker, creative cm and leftback next season, we won't have need to fear any developments from liverpool. And we have mourinhooooo!!

Looking at the history of EPL winners, 86 points and above is the usual. I don't think 85 will be enough. City have 57 points now and 12 games left. If they win 9 out of 12, they will have 84points. This is very possible. They have tough away games and a jam packed fixture schedule but they surely can pick 9 wins and a draw in 12 games imo. They also have the goal difference advantage. So to be safe, 86points is a minimum for us and 87 will guarantee the title.

We have 63 points now, we need 24 points. 8 wins 2Losses or 7Wins 3Draws in the last 10 games. Going by our recent run of 10wins and 3 draws in our last 13, this is so possible.Anything about 87points and above will guarantee the title.

Torres, cole and wages will free up money

He should stay away from liverpool matches. Always terrible against them

Exactly! Comparing our squad now to what Ancelloti had, my goodness mourinho has done a fantastic job. Who would have imagined that if we win 8 of our last 10 games we would be finishing with 87 points we never got anywhere near that in the past 4 seasons. On the positive side, manutd won the title so many times playing shit for 80mins and scoring 3 in last 10mins. No one complained about that though.

Well that explains why he didn't start enough this year. Not what pple were saying mourinho punished him for going to arsenal party.
-
Right, he'll absolutely fit our counter attacking like a glove. He is a hard worker and always makes runs to try and get in behind defences. He learned that personally from Falcao. He's not a lazy bum like torres who will disappear in matches and will put 100% effort trying to get on the end of passes, lose balls, crosses. I'll check his chances created stats to see if he is a good link up player, that is what will sell me on him because hazard also needs that. Amd if he follows the long line of athletico strikers who became world class after they left, we could be in for a treat.

Good explaining about costa, especially where you said we don't want someone so huge since we want hazard to be our main guy. I like his determination on the pitch and hunger (that's what really separates the top strikers from the just talents) but I have 2 main dislikes 1. I don't like his ball control he's not technically great to the level I would love. For example benzema and balloteli are both technically better. I rate technique in the striker very high. For example drogba was huge but he had some glorious touches and could lay on passes to lamps on the run. Does costa have an impressive first touch?? What is his assist rate like?? 2. He basically doesn't have a powerful shot on him. He's practically never scored from outside the box (I love his 1on1 finishing though) and this means unless one of his dribbles come off he can't get a goal out of nothing for us when hazard has a bad day.
-
That's the difference between a team with finishers and another without. Milan had 7 clear chances and don't score juve lead with their only attack in the first half.
-
Should have got it on target though
-
Just missed a big chance. Chased by ramos side by side, Shot wide should have scored

Your right that It depends on mancity slipping up. But I can't fault our guys if we pull 8 wins out of 10 now including against lpool and arsenal and we don't win the league. That will be a massive 87 points. Very rare to not win the league with more than 86points. Lucky for us, city have manutd, lpool, arsenal, everton all away. I don't think city can pull off 8 wins especially as the 2 games in hand(soon to be 3 with fa cup coming up) will be added in their increasing fixture list. They'll be playing every 3 days soon enough even if they go out of the champs lge

Cech has come out to catch the ball in two consecutive corners and missed. I know the players also missed their markers but it was in the 6 yard box. Few keepers are the size of cech and he cannot come out and not get to the ball.
