  1. Not now but could have been worse having a midfielder that cant run with all these tactical flaws. We could be 3-0 down now like in the first leg with them having a zillion chances to score more
  2. Its only a defensive coach that can sort that out. The number of times attackers get the ball infront of our defense, 1 on 1 with them is scary (Salah, Aubameyang, and now Muller/Lewandoski all getting 1 on 1s with our centerbacks at will). I said before that even if we sign Ramos in this our defensive system, he'll get sent of multiple times with his aggressive style of defending.
  3. We are devoid of any quality while attacking. See the poor forward passes from barkley and kovacic. lol Barkley again
  4. Look at how many times bayern has gone 1 on 1 with our centerbacks already. Thats a problem. Even if we have Ramos as a defender he will get sent off multiple times with his aggressive defending. And they score again from yet another 1 on 1 with our Centerback.
  5. Our team plays with a lack of direction when defending. This cannot be fixed by just buying defenders. The whole defensive shape/system is a disaster. We need a defensive coach
  6. Please sign Jorginho before you get sacked. Thanks Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  7. Looking like..... He's looking so over hyped, like Chelsea fans don't know anything about football. The way we all praised him like he was the next best after Ronaldo and Messi, only to be strolling down the pitch during a champions league knockout tie
  8. I agree that defending is not just on one defender, that it requires a team effort to close gaps. But this is exactly why it is important to get the right attack first. Buying a top defender with a broken system would make him look like an amateur in this team. With a proper system of attack, with better quality up top, the team is settled in knowing how they go forward and the type of players they have upfront. I quite remember Liverpool with Klopp buying salah, mane and having a lot of 4-3 matches against Norwich and Bournemoth, we laughed at them at the time. Then he got Fabinho, Vandijk and Alisson to replace Milner, Lovren and Karius. Our teams condition right now still doesn't look right in attack for me. We are a pulisic injury away from being a midtable attacking side. We need better decision making and quality (final pass and shooting) in the box to truly elevate our side and make it scary. Arsenal creating more chances than us does not sit well with me when we're aspiring to be title challengers. Once the system is right and we are more free-flowing, an improvement in the defense could shoot us straight to the title.
  9. Weird to see a goalkeeper thats 2 footed
  10. Havertz vs Rangers... I'll find a longer video later
  11. There's absolutely no problem having both. But we should know where our priorities lie. Follow the successful patterns of Klopp and Guardiola by improving the attack first
  12. Exactly, when building up a team, the attack is the most important first step. Klopp and Guardiola knew their defence was poor when they came in, but they first of all got their attack firing by making strong signings. Then they signed defenders to challenge for the title. Lampard needs to solidify his attacking pattern. I know that the way we played in the begining of the season is the way Lamps wants us to attack, but he realized we were not ruthless/clinical enough. So he reduced the intensity of our attacking football. If we have better players, making better decisions and with more technique/quality in the final third im sure Lamps will be more confident in maintaining a high tempo attacking intensity so that we blow out teams early in the match.
  13. Great talent, but no matter what we do we should make sure that at least 20 Million from the deal should be performance based. For example, If Havertz scores or assists a certain amount of goals, 5 million; If chelsea win a trophy with him, 10mil. If he makes 60 appearances another 5 million.
  14. Wow he looks smaller, I didn't even know that. We need to drop the chillwell interest
  15. Wow, he's better in almost every category. And signing him for 25mil will leave so much space for other players.... This is a no brainer really
  16. Seeing this just proved what a lot of us saw in the match thread. Arteta came with a game plan and Lampard didn't have a game plan to expose Arsenals backline too. Lampard didn't also try to stop the constant exposure from Aubameyang and Naitland-miles. He should have asked the team to sit deep if they were too tired to press, then try to come up with a strategy at halftime. He only put a faster zouma there, but the high line still showed up the tactical naivety of that.
  17. He'll be the most successful of all our signings. I love his determination
  18. I have nothing against him but I wish we have attacking midfielders who raise their heads up to look for runners instead of only making aimless runs everywhere. Look at Lampard as a player, I lost count the number of times he gave assists simply because he raised his head to look for options. Mount needs to do that more and stop this Barkley route of only looking at the ball when in possession, raise your head when on the ball, you're an attacking Mid for crying out loud.
  19. He was dominated tactically by Arteta. We never had a stable period of dominance after the first 15 minutes. It doesn't help that we had midfielders who couldn't give a forward pass without losing the ball and pulisic (our only high quality player in attack/midfield) getting injured. Lamps has to develop some sort of system/style of play to help the players. This is what coaches like conte/Mourinho of old did. Conte tactics made Moses/Alonso look quality. This current way we are playing where we are so random, depending on how good our players are on the day, without any recognised system means, the only way we can get successful under Lamps is to get quality players all over the pitch. 20. That is the tactic, Arteta has and Lamps has no answer to it. Then what have we done in attack that looks coordinated? It's been kick and rush football all over the pitch in attack
  21. Arteta has dominated Lampard tactically today.
