Why I believe the 2 striker combo will work is because Drogs isn't the old Drogs anymore. I dunno if its his malaria or anything else. but he just dusnt get on the receiving end in the 6 yard box anymore. He is more interested in setting up others and is dropping deeper and wider. His overall play if you have observed this season has been outside the box. A classic example yesterday was when cole made an excellent run in the 2nd half behind the Sunderland defense and crossed it across the 6 yard box without looking for options. Of course, it was awful to watch Cole crossing to empty space and see the ball run out of play. But the point is no one was there to capitalize on it. FT9 is someone who thrives on those kind of opportunities. El nino and Drogs would make a good pair with nico/yossi behind them. I dont really care who scores amongst them. As longs as the system works as a whole, we should be good.

Well, most big deals are left until the last moment. I would not think the Chelsea board is incapable or anything. This is just a negotiating tactic. Well, in case of Borini and Gael it might not be money that is holding them back from signing new contracts... It could be that they are asking for assurances over 1st team appearances and as in any Big club, we might not be able to guarantee them.

Reina and Frey - two notable misses. And i wouldn't put Casillas over Cech either. He has been so off form over the past 2 years. I would liken Casillas to Given - Excellent shot stopper but not so much on crosses. But a WC keeper nonetheless. Cech is definitely a better package on a whole than him !!!

I would not go as far to say I would not ever want to see him at Chelsea. Yes, he is immature and childish. But who knows, may be he is doing all this in the hope that Santos would sell him.. Maybe he has just realized how big a chance he has blown of making it in Europe. Anyways, I m sure if Chelsea were to go after him again, I would support the move in the knowledge that Carlo and our stars will manage to put his head right where it should be.
