We are better than Porto, Schalke, Arsenal, Malaga, Milan, Benfica, Celtic and Galatasaray. It is just the way things go though...

Ferguson is the best football administrator I have ever seen in my life. He knows how to deal with his players and their ego, he has an one of a kind eye to spot bargain talents, knows what has to be done, knows how many points they must get and where to get it and is very good at predicting things. This gives him a fucking lot of stability and security to the board. He does not knwo how to coach though. His training staff is one of the best, he does not even give training. In the few times needed to change his common system to perform against unexpected situations he has failed. This proves his very bad performance under UCL. His 2 lineups aginst Barcelona (2009/2011) are just a tactical horror show. He is not extremely bad at substitutions but he is not expectacular as well. Mourinho and Pep are far better coaches than him, but they lack all other atributes he brings to the club. EDIT: Why it has not been closed yet?

STOP WITH THE STUPID "TORRES GOT RDM SACKED". Torres is just a factor because we lost the game. If it was about Fernando, you have to believe Di Matteo would have been sacked even if he won or that he would not have been sacked if played Torres and still lost.

No it was not caused, they have helped to situation to get very bad. However, if you both had peacefully accepted the terms of UN, none of this would have happened. So UK did not CAUSED it, but they have a big portion of the blame. The bold words does not help at all. It only change the place of the conflict. In what does it help?

I dont think we have a well rounded team as we once had with Terry, Cole, Essien, Ballack, Lampard, Joe and Drogba. I am not asking the same dominant force though. Of course a well planned stategy with the right personel and stability is a better situation to build a team, but I think you are being harsh. I think we are very capable of buying great players that will fit our scrutiating manager rotation. Let me try to dissect: Goalkeepers: Dont give a fuck for the formation. Defenders: If we have players on the level of JT, Hummels, Cole and a Right Version of him (maybe Azi in the future) we are fine with any formation that start with 4. Midfielders: I honestly believe Oscar can be a reincarnation of Lampard / Pirlo. If he proves to be a great deep lying mid, we have ourselves a very versatile player. We would need a DM, but if we get anyone with the same qualities as to Vidal / De Rossi / Busquets, the defensive role will fit any systems (4-2-3-1, 4-1-2-1-2, 4-3-3, etc). Attackers: Any style of play that requires wingers we got it covered (Hazard and Moses). We also have Mata who is a magician behiind the striker and since we wont be playing on counters (you got it perfectly on your evaluation), he fits it perfectly. Oscar can play there either. Striker: We already had our Falcao/Cavani argument so I wont prolong myself. I agree Cavani would be a better option. However, Falcao will bring us so much joy we wont ever care. As the days go by, I feel I will get the chance to prove my point. Subs: They wont be running the show, so they will always have to dance by the music. Nonetheless, the players we have (Cahill, Bertrand, Mikel, Rambo, Marin and Sturridge) add some important atributes our first team lack. We can end up with a very good balanced squad!
-
Not true. Great players can adjust to a certain amount of changes and the manager wont create a system that will make most of the squad uncomfortable. JT, Cole, Lampard and Mata have already played in a lot of different formations and styles of play and have succeeded in many of them. Oscar, Hazard, Moses and Dave are pretty adaptable too, but they are too young to judge. Falcao and Hummels (who seem realistic options if we are going to spend another insane amount of money) wont be put in a scrutiny formations that wont work for them. They way you are looking at it, we wont be able to buy anyone. You want us to buy big names only if we stick with the manager long enough. That just wont happen, they will come and still flurish with different managers. Be a little more optimistic...
-
Well, I agree they will be inflated as hell but if it ends up being something like Hummels, Moutinho and Flacao (suposing we will break the bank) we cant say it is not long term players...
-
WOW, SUCH A FUCKING DELUSION. Torres only enters the equation because we lost. So because we lost, people put on the stupid argument "RDM was sacked because he did not played Torres". Di Matteo was fired because he lost EPL lead and wont advance in UCL. If you trully believe it is because of Fernando, tell me he would be sacked even with a win in Turin or he would not be sacked if he started Torres but still managed to lose to Juve.
-
I edit my post after you quoted, sorry. City has been good at times Manici goes back with a back 4 and an andvanced Toure. Whenever they are on 3-5-2 they are shit. I believe in Rafa (it does feel strange) tactical knowledge.
-
LOL Not at all. It is not the formation itself, it is how players perform in their respective roles. City is just embarassing when playing 3-5-2, Juve is almost unbeatten. Totally different. We will also be playing 4-2-3-1 refreshed and with a striker (I know it is Torres, but still).
-
We will never know how he was treated, we can only expeculate. If Roman said he would give him a 2 year contract but RDM would have to keep convincing him, then Di Matteo knew what the terms were. If Roman said he was the man going foward, then he was mistreated. We also dont know how today`s meeting was handled.

I guess you are right, but we have changed from a manager everyone felt connected with to a hated cunt. That is where the rage comes from... More against the replacement then against the replaced.

It was not CAUSED by UK, but you guys left the region without a proper agreement and this led to the civil war. It definetly did not help... At least it is partially resolved for now.

Torres to score a hatrick on Sunday, I am feeling it. I am absolutely positive he will thrive under Rafa. Carlo, AVB and RDM are not up to his standard. It is all Mazacar`s fault, no linkup play and no width. I am sure that with Kuyt and Downing he will comeback. C`MON TORRES, GOLDEN BOOT WINNER! Haters gonna hate...
-
You gotta admit it feels like something is missing without them. Makes it look empty! Like RyanDavidson said, decoration.

GG would never be able to cop with Roman. From the small amount of time I spent trying to learn something about him, he seems to have been strict, pragmatic (tactical wise) and defensive minded. I think we would be able to win some Cup Titles, but he is just not familiar with today`s PL. I personally would not want him, maybe in early 2000s. Right now Fat Spanish Waiter can provide us better football. Arsenal looked good on the youtube videos I have watched, but it is videos. I would need to see some full length matches to be able to give a more concrete opinion.

Good question, seems the best option. We need to try it at least. We dont have a Mascherano (Mikel is good but not great) and Old Torres as well. Our best lineup possible (imo): Cech / Azi, JT, Cahill, Cole / Oscar, Mikel / Moses, Mata, Hazard / Torres. None of the 3 pieces, we basically only got a GK, Leader CB and Attacking Trio...
-
4-2-3-1 Two problems though, it requires a very good double pivot (Alonso and Mascherano) and a fast and clinical striker (Old Torres).
-
He can not make us score 119 goals and be an extremely good defense. He has 6 months and less than 30 games.
