Please, this is just insulting to the beautiful chicks of Copacabana!
-
What are you all complaining?
-
I surely think so, it is immoral to criticize a player or say he shouldnt join CFC because every 2 Januarys he will leave for ACON. Again, I was nicely debating with you, but when you said that - I honestly needed some time to quiet down!
-
Because it is highly unethical to say you dont accept players that pefer to represent their own countries in the middle of the season. I wont post arguments on why ACON is very important, because @CHOULO19 has done it brilliantly already.
-
The debate was open and it was a good one until you said we shouldnt buy players that prefer to play for their national teams in January. There you lost my respect for you (over this matter)...

I can't believe so many good members are waisting their posts with a very dumb and selfish opinion (not member, to make it clear).
-
Well, if he wants to meet Torres, he might me there!
-
YOU SAID KING PHILL?
-
OMG! I wont even respond, you win. I dont want to end up getting a warning in my last days as MOTM... I just cant believe some of the things I am reading.
-
You are judging his options by your selfish fan point of view (just like when people say they were happy Mata wasnt being called for Spain)... ACON gives Nigeria a chance to go to Brazil in 2014 (but I guess that is not important) and Mikel knows he must be there or their chances will vastly decrease. I bet any player dreams of playing in the World Cup! EDIT: What do you mean by "maybe in the future we shouldn't sign players in that position"?

Not at all, Roman took the man out of retirement, he is crazy but not stupid. He knew any amount of penuts would do. Benitez needed us more than we needed him!

I know a certain blue team that would...

And I am sure as the generous moderator that you are, you will add to his reputation all the like you get!

Great Job Shogun, finally an Opppsiton Views worth reading, with intelligent answers and not some pre-fabricated artificial answers even I could have figured it out! Choulo19, it may have sounded mean to you, but it was not your questions that were shit (they were actually pretty good), but some people just couldnt answer it in a natural and intelligent way...

It is not about the money, they want him to stay until the end of the season because with him there Napoli has a decent shot of winning something. In August he will probably be sold for the same price or even less...
-
Of course I want success, but why should we pay 60million and 200k/week for Cavani when we can wait for the summer and spend 45million and 110k/week? The only reason I think Falcao would be a good deal is because he will go for the buy-out clause anyways... P.S: See my edited post!

So just because it isnt our money we should embrace stupid and/or overpayed deals? The winter transfer window serves as an "aid permission", for teams that were hit with multiple injuries in one position or suffer from a natural lack of depth from the start of the season or for teams that want a little extra talent at a certain area of the pitch. It isnt a "squad builder" transfer window. That is why most of the deals are loans or cheap gambles (Cisse, for instance). Clubs arent willing to sell their best players in January (due to the lack of replacement options) and the clubs that are looking for a top quality players are in despair to save their season. Those two states of mind make the prices skyrise to absurd amounts. This factor alone should be enough so the teams think before buying expensive players in that time of the year, but there is an even more important danger sign. Players that come as saviors in the middle of the season usually arrive with a lot of pressure at an unorganised squad, transforming their much needed magical performances in an extremely difficult event(s) to happen. The 6 months advantage the club thought they would get, will turn out to be a painful adaptation period (making the big price that was paid, totally unworthy). Take Torres as a horrible example. We initialy offered Liverpool 35mi, but they said they would not sell him to a rival in the middle of the season, then we offered 40mi (which was also rejected) and because the days were almost over, we offered them an unrefusable 50million and 175k/week deal. He arrived with such an enormous expectation and did not lived up to the hype. Why? Because the team was a mess, he had no service and his girly character couldnt deal with the pressure. Torres could only show and prove himself when AVB arrived with a decent preseason. It of course never happened, but that is a whole other discussion and it does not take away the fact the first half season did not help and that it would have been a much less bombastic and better 35million summer deal. Football Managers/Directors that relly on the January Transfer Window usually fail badly, even spending a hell lot of money (Kenny Dalglish?).

Easy 5-0 win for CFC, *cough* Shogun? *cough*...
-
LOL I know, but it was a sarcastic post (we definetly need an irony emoticon)!
-
All I could judge from his performance was his awesome hair! I did help to break the ice for when he really plays for the first time though...
-
LOL It was "made him do", but I accidentally wrote "me him do"... I am not too bothered as well (hence I dont go to the gym), but I wouldnt like to be at either end of the chart. I would also not take a "brain viagra" just to "live brighter days", like the doctor said: "why risk your life when you can get more sleep..." Ok, maybe on my finals exam's week, but I would need to be very desperate! P.S.: I am sorry about your grandfather.

He'd have at least to get a haircut there...

^^^ I bet that if they had given him a fake pill, he would would still improve 90% of what the actual pill made him do.
