Frank Lampard's saga discussion is really irritating by now...
-
PSG, Anzhi and Bundesliga are not after him. Milan and Arsenal won't pay 80k+ and Juventus will try everyone else before aproaching Ba. QPR are our only real competition (atm), so we are by far the best option...
-
I agree and we will end up paying what he wants (or not), but I don't think it is as easy to be resolved as many think. I also honestly believe we arent doing so many crazy deals anymore. P.S: If you dig Hazard thread you will find our Belgian members explaining Hazard's wages and telling English media got it really wrong and it is around 120k.
-
Tell me one club after him that would pay him 80k+...
-
Who will be Lampard's long-term replacement?

I bet KDB will win...Why? -
Because the best for the club was to keep Torres as our only option as a striker...
-
LOL Always have to be the one with the right answers. Ba has a very serious knee problem and if he wanted "only" 80k, I don't see a reason for him not accepting 60k + 20k fitness.
-
Yes, but from what I know (which does not mean much), his agent is asking for 100k/week but we offered 60k + 20k fitness.
-
Only our "old" stars are above 100k (Cech, Terry, Cole, Lampard and Malouda), Hazard (120k), Luiz (but he was on about 80k before the new contract) and Torres. Cahill is on 80k (but that is why it dragged so long), Mata is probably on less than 100k, Oscar is on 50k, etc. Considering we are making everything possible to get rid of Cole, Lampard and Malouda, I find it very hard for us to agree with Ba's 80-100k/week asking price. Our first offer of 60k/week + 20k fitness bonus is very fair.
-
Just because we pay Torres 170k/week does not make Ba worth 80k/week...
-
I know, that is why I posted it. Paulinho is good, but not needed (Lampard, Ramires, Oscar, KDB and Josh) and Taison is shit!
-
I know one: he can punish Torres during shower if he misses a sitter.
-
We can't sign Taison, it will totally ruin our amazing transfer year!
-
Whoever sells sun screen in London must be broken...
-
LOL It is not only Drogba, Cote D`Ivory has the Toure Brothers, Gervinho, etc...
-
This sounds much better! I would warmingly welcome him for that price (7.5mi + 70k)!

Inspirational Lampard fires Blues towards title charge

@, too much Benitez love for my taste, but a great article. -
Reliable source? If true, OUCH! I mean, I would pay him that, but if we compare it to some of our new sigings and competition, that is a lot. Oscar is on 50k and Arsenal will not pay that much, for instance...
-
The clubs he is in talks with don't pay much. We will have to overpay a bit, but it will be something from 40k to 50k per weak, nothing really major.

I came here after recovering from my massive hangover, expecting to see some interesting analyses and reactions and all I saw was a childish discussion about Luiz. Well, I tought we played our worst football in the last 2 years for the first 30 min. We were steamroled and couldnt keep possession for more than 10 seconds. The flanks were being completely dominated by them, Cezar and Cole were non existing. Worst than that, every single rebound was Everton's (hence the goal), Luiz and Lampard were totally lost. Everton and Moyes started with a very good game plan and pressuring high up, I honestly think Jelavic's foul (that hit the post) kept us alive. Once they naturally gave up more space and stopped with such an intense man marking, we created some good individual plays that were either missed or saved. Still, Everton was the better side. Although, Torres had a surprisingly good play outside the box (dribling and clearing some space), passed to Rambo for an incredible accurate cross to Frank Lampard, who scored from a strong header that went in the bottom left hand corner. 1-1 HT. Benitez had to do something and he did! While we had a stupid turn around at West Ham, this time we fixed our problems. The double pivot started to work, Cole got his shit back together and Ramires started doing what was expected of him since the begining. However, Cech was hit with an ankle injury and Turnbull came on. The game was open, balanced and could have gone either way. Baines and Jelavic kept their form, were still giving us some headache and Trunbull had to save us several times, but we werent so awful as in the first half. The goal wasnt that close though, Hazard was shy, Mata didnt have much help, Ramires was doing what he could and Torres would miss any given wide open shot. We had to relly on the Lengend, best CFC player of all time and one of the best English players to have ever lived: SUPER FRANK LAMAPRD! A opportunity at the 72nd minute after a good effort from Mata wouldnt be missed, Chelsea 2-1. There was still time and we had to control the more than important result. Rafa did two intelligent changes by taking Hazard and Mata off and replacing them with Moses and Oscar. Moses didnt have any chance of doing much, but the latter had a great game. Oscar did some really important tackles, kept possession, gave rythm and control to the midfield and produced some dangerous counters (that Torres obviously missed). Everton did create some more chances but the time was up. Chelsea is the first team to beat Everton at Liverpool. Amazing win, specially if we account the first 30min of the match (I bet we would be OK with a draw at that time). A victory that kept us alive at the very improbable (but possible) title race, gives the team confidence and allow some space for UCL. MOTM - Lampard!

I must admit you were right.
-
That is one of the main reasons I absolutely adore English Football. This game would have 40 fouls if played with Brazilian Refs...
-
FUCK TORRES!
-
And I expect you to be wrong, we will have to wait!
-
FUCKING LEGEND! I SIMPLY LOVE YOU LAMPS! s2
