So far what i've seen from him in pre-season I like what he adds to our team. He is strong mentally with the determination, confidence and natural goal scoring ability we have missed since Drogba left us. With Costa and Drogba at their full match fit readiness I think we have a good pair upfront. Torres is always going to be the weak link but I think his better position is on the flanks. So i say Schurrle should be the 3rd striker.

For the price it is a good sale. He will be a good striker but never world class. Not even close to being the new 'Drogba'

As much as I hate this poor excuse for footballer it seems he is quite marketable and probably has made he transfer fee and wages more tolerable. I guess this is the only positive..

I like this guy. Great potential and definitely one to keep an eye on in future. Great ability to hold on to the ball and can take on players and pick out a pass..

I like what i have seen so far in pre season friendlies. His comfortable on the ball and can pick out a long accurate pass for runners up ahead. Need more time to judge his defensive capabilities but seem quite solid so far.

So why haven't we signed him yet ?
