The only reason to play Cole is to have experience. Its hard to pick between the 2, but Cole does has the experience in games. How many times have u seen Cole clearing the ball off the line? Countless! Not sure if Betrand can do the same! But I'm a Betrand fan over Shaw

Like the post above, definitely Ramires will be in CM slot. There are only 2 slots for CM, considering we spent so much money to bring back Matic, defintely he will slot in into CM (to allow Ramires to attack). van Ginkel is likely to rotate with Ramires. As of Romeu.... most likely a backup? I really do not see a role for him unless he impressed himself at Valencia or some other clubs.

I hope he is more than an anchorman, but probably someone in the Pirlo/Carrick but with better defensive qualities like positioning, awareness and tackling. He should posses great creativity as well. Anyway, nice to see him back in the club.

He was an useful option for increasing the width of the team, but wit Schurrle in the team, I dont think we need him, unless for the homegrown quota.

If he had scored yesterday, would had helped alot with his confidence. But I somehow feel he is gaining a little bit of pace back, not acceleration though.

I mean from Mourinho's point of view. If you had a great player in the squad but not playing to your expectation, you would have rather him staying than him leaving the squad. Isn't it? The decision now lies with Mata. As a top-class player, would you rather sit on the bench or play only 60mins? No way! But Mourinho played it very well in the media, making it looked as if Mata was the one who wants to leave, and deflecting the blame to Mata.
