Spurs are not completely out of it, they appear to be dangerous on the counter, but if it keeps going the same way I can see them conceding again.

Our last visit at Selhurst Park was quite annoying and the international break bored me to death, so I can't wait we go back to business. Hope we beat them silly!

Turkish Airlines rumoured to replace Samsung

It sounds horrible. And when you think we used to laugh at Arsenal and City because their home stadiums are called Etihad and Emirates... Changing the name of the Bridge or moving to another stadium called Turkish Airlines Arena or something will be a huge hit to our identity and the only thing left to completely wipe it out is changing the colour of our kits to red... -

If they're on the back of our shirts just for the Champions League ties and we keep Samsung for the front I'll be more than happy! -

It should be enough. I doubt they would announce it if the contract wasn't already signed. From one side it's nice that we've upgraded on the shirt sponsorship deal, I mean United are getting £47m a season from Chevrolet, our deal with Samsung seems quite pathetic in comparison. Now the thing that we should've gotten even better deal is a different matter. From the other I have grown attached to the Samsung logo on our shirts and even kinda accepted it as a part of our identity which is a bit sad. If it was any other prominent company it would've been okay, but it feels odd buying an item which has "Turkish Airlines" text on it. I can't see myself doing that. I'll probably just buy the regular lifestyle t-shirts from the megastore until we change it again. -
Like Graziano Pelle, probably. He did incredibly well for the Saints, scoring a brace against Newcastle and the incredible winner against QPR and he is my 2nd choice after Diego. Koeman, having 4 wins in a row for Soton + away league cup victory at the Emirates, will likely win the manager's award.
-
Weird timing for this rumour when Ivanovic is in the form of his life and RB being Azpilicueta's natural position. Even Filipe Luis, who was probably the best LB last season finds it hard to get a regular starting spot just yet.
-
He just has to win the player of the month award again. I can't think of anyone doing better than him in the past 30 days.

Turkish Airlines rumoured to replace Samsung

Now when I think about it my problem is more with the text "Turkish Ailines" than the logo, so hopefully if this thing goes on we go for something similar to option number 3. I guess we just have to wait and see. -

Sponsorship money is the most important thing here, but that being said I can't see myself buying next years' shirt with that ugly logo up front. Suddenly the 2009/2010 home shirt doesn't seem that bad...Hopefully the kit designers will do the most of the situation. I hope the deal is not a lengthy one and we sign a better one for more money with a prominent company in 2 years. -

I'm going to miss the Samsung logo on our shirts, if we don't sign a new deal with them, as it fits perfectly a football shirt IMO or I don't know, it could be that I got really used to it in the past 9 years. But hey, football is not a fashion show and it's all about the sponsorship money in the end. -
They seem to have a good thing going on replacing Lambert, Lallana and Shaw with Pelle, Tadic and Bertrand so far and Yoshida has stepped up and appears to be a great replacement for Lovren. They've also upgraded in GK department by signing Forster and Shane Long is a good back-up option in attack. Graziano Pelle, though, is their most exciting player right now and I expect the team to become even more clinical in front of goal when Jay Rodriguez returns from injury.

Yeah, it feels like our ex players score against us pretty often, doesn't it? This season alone Lamps and Eto'o did that by coming from the bench for less than 20 mins of gameplay and it was the first time they face us after their departure. Samuel's goal even came with his first touch less than a minute after he entered the pitch

I regret reading the last few pages, but I won't tell people how to feel about him anymore. Then again how could you say that his goal could be the decisive thing in the title race? It's just a small piece of the puzzle, there are so many events waiting to happen in the season ahead. Singling out this one is quite unnecessary. However as I said I won't judge anyone here, the reception for Lamps was wonderful and I'd like to think that the majority of Chelsea fans are like those who spend their weekend on the road so they can support their favourite team. Huge respect for them!

I don't think you need a phone number of a drug dealer, mate. You're pretty much a wreck the way you are.
-
LOL! Sure everybody is entitled to their opinion, but you can't be mad with people openly disagreeing with you if the best you've got is: "He was so desperate to score, he wanted to be in all the headlines, he could have just hang around there if he loved us so much". Sorry, but Frank is not your muppet who needs to do specific things in order for you to feel better about yourself. He's a professional football player!
-
Wow! You people need to relax. It's just one single match that we didn't even lose and some of you went as far as predicting City winning the league! And it's only September! The season is long and there are so many things waiting to happen you can't just pick one match and say - "This right there might cost us the title in the end". You simply can't. Sure it would have been massive if we'd won, but then remember last year when we did a double over City how did that work out for us in the end?
-
Yeah, after the tense Etihad visit it's time for something relaxing like a league cup game against championship opposition. I'd like to see the likes of Cech, Zouma and Remy take part in this one!
-
Incredibly tough game! We almost nicked it, but in the end it's probably a fair result. I felt sick when Lamps scored the equalizer, but that's football for you, it doesn't get more ironic. Obviously as painful as it is, you can't blame Frank as he was doing his job being a great professional, a trait we valued so much in his time here. I'd like to say I'm so proud of our away support with the reception they gave Frank even after that goal. That showed the world how much we appreciate the players who have done so much for us in the past and that we're not ungrateful cunts like the Liverpool and Arsenal fans. Super Frankie Lampard - Chelsea's greatest ever!
-
Wonder if we'll use last year's strategy when we went at the Etihad or we'll take them on and start attacking them relentlessly. Either way, it's essential not to lose this one.
-
It's going to be absolutely heartbreaking seeing him in the side against us today, but he's a professional and he'll play if Pellegrini asks him.
-
Liverpool look to be back to where they were 2 years ago, don't they? That's what you get for selling your best player and replacing him with the brainless troublemaker Balotelli and the mid-table superstar Rickie Lambert. It also doesn't help that they still rely on the 34 year old washed up Gerrard in midfield as undisputed starter, but who cares he scores most of the times when they are given a penalty! Wow, what a legend!
-
Nah, he is waaay past it. Hopefully we wouldn't have to see him starting any other CL or EPL games.
-
Well I guess Diego needs to sit this one out in order to recover completely from his injury, but I feel nervous without him leading the line. Also I'd prefer Remy to start over Drogba.
-
I really can't think of more impressive debut in the Premier league than Diego's. 7 goals in his first 4 official matches for the club which includes a hat trick to his tally already. With Fabregas and Hazard we have so much creativity up front it's scary! Cesc with two assists for Diego and Eden's performance deserved a goal or assist. Super debut for Remy as well, showing his credentials right from the start. Now on the other hand conceding 6 goals in the first 4 games (5 in the last 2) is a real concern. Our defense looks shaky and on a bad day we would've dropped points. Against City we need to show our defensive form of last season, because with that kind of defending we'll might suffer.
