Options are always nice but this move seems unnecessary. If we do buy another midfielder, Milinkovic-Savic would be a better fit. I agree that options are nice. However, Pjanic will never come here just to be an option. I doubt Jorginho said no to Manchester City to sit on our bench. Kanté is untouchable. Of course if we would get Pjanic then we would probably be resistant to any sort of pressing from other teams! We would also have to rely heavily on the striker and wingers since I doubt Pjanic, Jorginho and Kanté would score 20 goals per season together. I just don't get this move. I rather think buying Golovin would make much more sense.

Do we really need him? I would have loved to take him a few years ago, but now with Jorginho I don't think we need Pjanic. Also, a midfield of Pjanic, Jorginho and Kanté looks very small with Jorginho the tallest at 1.80 cm!

The reason he did not travel with the squad to Australia is injury. Wow I was getting worried he was being shunned!

I agree. I also think players know that Chelsea will be in the running for CL next season regardless of this one season. Throughout recent years joining Chelsea has been a sure way to get trophies.

A very interesting transfer this would be. A 24 year old who hasn't played in Europe before. Boca fans adore him and say he is one of their best players. Called "the Colombian Kanté", which is what makes me curious. Kanté has the stamina to play every match to the end so I wonder if he would be a sub for him or will play with him on the pitch.

Michy hasn't been like that. He has been really professional and nice even though he hasn't gotten the chances he deserves here at the club.
-
In no way is a 30 year old Higuain better than a much younger Morata. Morata scored 15 goals last season! Even when he was injured half of it. 6 assists as well. I think if Morata stays here he will be the future.

Probably has more to do with Juventus being like Golden State when it comes to hoarding the talent in the league and dominating...
-
I'm thinking he really likes being here at Chelsea. He would love to go to Real, but wouldn't mind staying at a club he loves being at. That's the 50/50 thing.
-
Lets remember how Steven Gerrard was close to joining RM and Chelsea (2 times) as well. Then he never left
-
Looks like he and Abraham will be staying in the first XI for this preseason. Interesting to see where he can fit in since we are going to be flooded with midfielders with all the options we would have should we get every target. Now there is even talk of signing Wilmar Barrios in January!
-
Lets go Golovin! So excited to see if we really do get him. A player of his talent and potential is a must buy if available!
-
I think he just got off a serious injury. We have been linked with him plenty of times.

Thank you for the good work in the first season, and then the FA Cup in the second! We will never know 100% what happened behind the scenes. However, we know Conte is a world class manager that just can't gel with the club itself. Hopefully he gets a good job again (Italy NT?). No hard feelings from me. Grazie!

Think you're talking about Islam Feruz. We have Izzy Brown

Since it seems we have fucked the UCL up I would like to see one of Ampadu, Chalobah or Hudson-Odoi play to freshen things up. Or just any youth player tbh!
-
I see. Oh well another season of no Champions League!!!
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we win the FA cup we qualify for UCL right?
-
The greatest part was seeing him dribbling through like Hazard a few times in the game. How this guy came to Leicester for 5-6 million pounds three years ago is amazing! What a success story!
-
Ermm. I think that was the game against Man City, which we won 3-1
-
Getting Pulisic would be a grand statement from the board saying they haven't given up!
-
A lot of youth on the bench. Isn't this the first time Trevoh Chalobah is in the match day squad?
-
Bats should not be classed as a "young apprentice" anymore. He has had support and opportunities in Belgium and France. He is 24 years old. I'm sure all our young players get support behind the scenes and Michy has gotten opportunities, but if he doesn't perform like expected then I'm not surprised about this loan.
