  1. Like the old Ranieri days where we dominate and have bizarre substitutions. Lampard with 4 minutes to go. Quite funny, it looked like Ten Cates was telling Grant what to do, or explaining the rules or something -and then Grant lumbers to the touchline shouting. Both the Coles were shoddy, and Malouda -the one emerging who had a top game was Carvalho.
  2. We were Ok on the left, but Cole and Belletti weren't reading from the same hymn sheet' as they say. Should be OK for the return leg - but they only need a score draw to knock us out -and they've been better on the road than they have in Athens
  3. Lol I think that was Greek TV -'showing the emotional side' funny though. Well I thought Kalou was going to give us that needed away goal at the death, but not to be. For our domination we should be coming away with a lead, and I'm not sure changing all 11 was a good idea tbh.
  4. Lol! nice Zionist Tom Gross propaganda there. Israel is the only country that has all its teams put on a final warning for racism and hooliganism. At the end of the day your rabid defence of Nazi Israel is borne out of guilt. Guilt that you know Israel is the REAL terrorist in the Middle East. It has 250 nuclear weapons. It regularly tortures and kills citizens from it's poor neighbours. It has destroyed over 500 Palestinian villages, killed over 50 000 civilians, and maimed over 45 000 children. (UN figures). No wonder NONE of the countries round it will participate with it in sport or other events. No, it has to come crawling to Europe. No, (God this is tiresome), I don't support Hamas. But seeing as you brought them up -the US and it's lackey Israel said to the Palestinians ''You must have fair and democratic elections''. So they did, and Hamas won, fair and square. Then the US and Israel said ''Oh no, we dont want them to win, we will not have that''. Fucking joke. Hamas is irrelevant, a child struggling against a bully torturing and sexually abusing it. I have fought Nazis, BNP, National Front etc , in my youth for Anti Fascist Action, and apologists for Israels policies are Nazis in different clothes. Archbishop Desmond Tutu; "I've been very distressed in my visit to the Holy Land; it reminded me so much of what happened to us blacks in South Africa. I have seen the humiliation of the Palestinians at checkpoints and roadblocks, suffering like us when young white police officers prevented us from moving about ... If apartheid ended, so can the occupation, but the moral force and international pressure will have to be just as determined. The current divestment effort is the first, though certainly not the only, necessary move in that direction." From "Apartheid in the Holy Land," Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu On your advice , I will close this thread. It's getting nowhere, and I'm fed up of seeing your nocturnal defence of the real Middle East Terrorists, Israel. I suggest you have a look at these Jews, REAL Jews who are against Israel, who see it for what it is. A US Pitbull off the leash in the Middle East. http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/
  5. That would be better - would have overun the whole ground circa 1980-81
  6. Riccy and Alex can do a sterling job at the back. If the media reports are wrong though I'd expect this; GK - Cech RB - Belletti CB - JT CB - Ricky LB - Cole MID - Ballack MID - Essien MID - Lamps ATT - J Cole ATT - Drogba ATT - Kalou
  7. The BBC will screen three of the four FA Cup sixth round matches, starting with Barnsley's home tie to Premier League side Chelsea. Barnsley beat Liverpool in the fifth round and the tie from Oakwell will be shown on 8 March at 1730 GMT. Sheffield United or Middlesbrough will play Cardiff at 1310 GMT on 9 March and that will also be shown. The action will be concluded on Sunday when Bristol Rovers take on West Brom at 1800 GMT. League One Bristol Rovers are the only team from outside the top two divisions still left in the tournament and have beaten Fulham and Southampton to reach the quarter-finals. The other tie of the round is between Manchester United and Portsmouth and will kick-off at 1245 GMT on the Saturday. I've a feeling the club will lay on a cheap train for those going as well. Not sure of the allocation but guess around 3 500.
  8. On the other hand Grant has said the CL is the most important, so you'd think the two stalwarts of JT and Fat Frank would feature. Interesting to see the starting lineup, and the state of the pitch ! Think it's on ITV 4 btw , mickeys on ITV1.
  9. Interesting to see the lineup tonight. Many papers/radio reports saying 'Grant intends to rest Lampard and Terry' for the Yids on Sunday. Lampard at least seems back to fitness, and should play tonight imo.
  10. How dare he try to better himself. Helicopters, power, and money Ha Ha Ha. Wot, no sex and drugs ?
  11. True. States see their national sport as an endorsement of their country, and succeeding is paramount. This was evident during the Cold War. Israel would hate to be outdone in football by a Palestinian 11.
  12. Thats right, and it didn't help with Mikel being ambiguous about where he wanted to end up. He finally chose the right team though.
  13. Lol I agree the principle seems mad, but if it gets people out of the cycle of their sordid lives and stops the little fuckers attacking others, and gets their spawn to school etc maybe its worth a shot. Especially as it is alleged to have worked elsewhere.
  14. Do you remember when we had this thread on the other forum ? One of the longestthreads ever . It was clear that ManUtd hadn't earned the right for that cash.
  15. i don't think it is solely aimed at people who dont work -it's a whole raft of measures including curbing anti -social behaviour. According to the Yanks it has worked in New York and around 20 other countries. On a separate note theres the 'middle class con trick' -because people have a few possessions and gadgets, maybe own their own house, and dont have a pitbull and wear tracksuit bottoms, they think they're middle class. Generally the middle classes are people with professions like dentists and dont earn less than 100k.
  16. Not very nice calling the members of this forum an ''ignorant fan cult'' now is it ? Still trawling cyberspace in the small hours to post a rabid defence of the murderous racist state I see. From Kick Apartheid and Racism Out; All sorts of measures have been taken by the Occupation to block the Palestinian national football team and Palestinian sportsmen and women in recent years. Most recently, said the letter to Blatter, on March 30th 2006 Occupation Forces bombed the Palestine Football Stadium in Gaza, leaving a massive crater in the middle of the pitch. “In 2004,” it continued, Apartheid Israel “set out to prevent the Palestinian football team from representing the Palestinian people on an international level during the (FIFA) World Cup qualifiers by disallowing several members of the team from leaving Gaza.” In part of the Occupation’s attempts to destroy Palestinian identity, Palestine is forced to play all its “home” games in a foreign country. The ghettoization of the Palestinian people imposes on the Palestinian football team to hold its practice sessions in Egypt. And here you are, just for you
  17. Yeah that's some idea Brown got from the US. They intervieed the Deputy Mayoress of New York and she said it's already been tried in 20 countries and works apparently.
  18. lol Kaka contemplates Liverpool. Joke thread ?
  19. [1] NO TO GAME 39 - First FSF meetings tonight [2] Membership status [1] NO TO GAME 39 - First FSF meetings tonight The Football Supporters Federation has arranged a series of regional action meetings on NO TO GAME 39 starting with meetings in London and NorthWest (Wigan) tonight (18th Feb). http://www.fsf.org.uk/game39/no-to-game-39-meetings.html NO TO GAM£ 39 FSF plans regional action meetings Following the launch of the FSF's online petition against GAM£ 39, The Football Supporters Federation has arranged a series of regional action meetings. Starting in Wigan and London on Monday 18th February, moving to Gateshead on Tuesday, Yorkshire on Thursday and then Birmingham on Friday fans from all clubs, whether members of the FSF or not, can come together to discuss and decide how the protest against this ridiculous idea will be made. In the days since the Premier League announced their lucrative but absurd intention to take the English game around the world the FSF has been inundated with supporters demanding that we take a stand. Many ideas have already been suggested from game boycotts, where fans of Premiership teams would watch a lower-league side for a weekend, to a Jarrow Crusade style march to London, and plenty in between. The Football Supporters' Federation has the will and the resources, both financial and technological, to help fans mobilise around this issue. All we need now is for fellow fans to make a stand and get involved. If you would like to register to be informed of the arrangements of your local meeting, e-mail [email protected] informing us of where you live and any ideas you have for the protest.
