  1. Brilliant. I will try to impress a few in the pub before the game with some of those stats, but pretty sure it will revert to Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea: Chelsea, Chelsea, CHELSEA CHELSEA....
  2. Good news for the former blonde. Hes free to score a hatrick in every game now
  3. Ah yes the Brett Easton Ellis book I read in the eighties. A lot of impressionable youth then were excited by the mysoginistic graphic violence (much left out of the dreadful film) though Christian Bale, as with Gareth is also a mediocre Welsh export.
  4. Havent you taken those fucking video tapes back yet ? Anyway, after ten years of trying Moyes has finally got Everton above United. Well done to the Thyroid condition eyed one.
  5. Neil Warnock this morning -talking sense for once Speaking about the Torres scratch: Along the lines of "Vertongen should get a longer ban than Torres for conning the referee. He should get slaughtered by the papers if they are hammering Torres. What Torres done wasn't nice to see, but Vertongen went down as if he had been punched in the face". Speaking about Benitez: "He's been very lucky to have been given the jobs he has had. I won't say anymore than that".
  6. Right off to Zolas Bar in Swindon now Come on Chels !!
  7. I had a tart in Swindon in the eighties. Julie something or other.
  8. Basel knew their roles and played as a cohesive unit as did Everton. Yes it will be a rollercoaster for a while and ignoring specific issues with the formation, players and manager (and there are several), we are where we deserve to be because of shoddy planning at more senior levels. Lack of a cohesive management structure, lack of a cohesive player recruitment structure, lack of a cohesive player progression structure (youth -> first team In Jose we trust..
  9. I dont think we need to be patient, he has already showed what he can do. Under the system he has to play too deep and with most opposition briefed beforehand to stick 3 players on him, he is getting little room for manoevre. Last night he would have had more success where Eto'o was out wide and the Cameroonian more central. In Jose we trust, just hope he knows what hes doing and is not Rafa in disguise
  10. This system has been like a slow death for us. It hasn't worked since Robbie started using it. What is the point of playing a system that, with the full-backs we have been using, means we only have 4 attackers. It is a system that is easy to play against, 2 CB's take care of the 1 striker. The midfield gets flooded to slow the attacking midfielders. These midfielders then start playing too deep and have more players to get through.
  11. A lot on here are blaming Hazard's performances. Hazard is an attacker, he is not an attacking midfielder. He is being asked to help out the left back defensively. What a fucking waste of such a brilliant young talent. If he was at United he'd already be one of the world's most feared attackers. Do you think he would have to be helping Evra defend? No, of course not.
  12. Top analogy from Mr Portugeezer. I am eggspectant now for the season, and look forward to watching Hatch of the Day.
  13. Will get a start tonight I feel. Looked superb in pre season
  14. Thought this deserved a thread as its something else we're Champions of :blue scalf: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2423334/Why-football-team-bad-health-Chelsea-fans-biggest-boozers-Man-U-supporters-scoff-takeaways.html
  15. Disagree. I think this thread is an excellent idea. All the grievances can be aired within the contraints of a legitimate thread set up by Alex, and hopefull things ironed out. As for Spike, any Clash fan has to be a good mod
  16. ''I hope you get beaten and raped...'' Mental woman has a go at Cole http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2422778/Ashley-Cole-receives-foul-mouthed-rant-American-woman-tipping.html
  17. Have to give credit to Everton, it was a scything, well rehearsed counter attack.
  18. All salient and relevant points, and the biggest obstacle we face is not having a recognised big man up front - someone to hold the ball up and lay it off to runners. It didnt help them having Anelka in goal yesterday.
  19. When asked if he wanted Everton to beat Chelsea, yes was the only public answer he could give in reality. So I have no problem with it and wish him well this season as I'm sure he will give plenty of defences a hard time and may even benefit us with goals against our main rivals. Is it really any different from Courtois continuously saying he loves life in Madrid? Or any worse than wanting to play against us in the Super Cup last year? Yes he said he was a lifelong Chelsea fan, and had the stadium tour as a nipper, but then last year he was kissing the West Brom badge. hes fickle like 99% of players -agents and money call the real shots
  20. Dont think either will happen tbh. But to throw the cat amongst the pigeons -it would be good to see Cahill, Cole, and Fat Frank with the World Cup
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23723537 Mine came out at £1850 and thats without a season ticket
