Its like all these things, and the same applies to players. A combination of which players he fancies working with, what spending budget he will get, but the real clincher is the money on the table. His agent will be looking at the best contract and percentage for himself. So it comes down to whether Abramovich will offer more than the Glaziers or Citehs arabs and whether they see Guardiola as a worthwhile investment and employee for their business.
-
Good shout. Can see them beating the dippers. Might do similar but with Arnautovic to get on the score sheet anytime
-
Fully expecting a strong side out to keep up the momentum and chalk up another win, so forget the whining 'play the kids'. Its also needed for a confidence booster. If they keep up the current form we should get close to Wembley, and Guss wants to win it (again).
-
So now hes back doing Go Compare adverts. Just hope Roman hasnt asked Emanalo to tap him up for a job in the Summer...
-
Ok then thats good. Hes excusable anyway being a bit mental. His overall attitude yesterday I thought was excellent -picking bits up in the six yard box, holding the ball up, and importantly staying out of trouble instead of acting like a pissed up cunt in a nightclub. Also what Guss said in the press conference was just what Mourinho said anyway with regard to Costa, so fuck knows what was going on and why the difference. However we do know Mourinho creates a more tense situation. Actually overall with the players expressing themselves, unfettered artistry flowing, I am starting to think there could have been something in the Eva thing all along. But anyway thats all gone now... time to move on
-
Think youre right CHLL. My mate said he was the only one who didnt acknowledge the fans just gave a little clap, and then Eddie Newton grabbed him as if to say go over, and Costa looked as if he said something like 'already did that' then gave another little clap. Not a lot to be read into it though imo
-
True -Costa came back with a muffin top and has clearly been working out or on the marching powder, Hazards been on the Hoegaardens, chocs and waffles and needs to lose a bit imo.. To give him his due though, I've noticed opponents when they have time stick three on him on occassions
-
Agree with that. His expression shows hes not 100% into it like last season. Shouldnt be written off, but something isnt right,
-
Doesnt address the bigger issues, but yesterday it seemed a simple question of not warming up. Could be wrong, and its alright doing a few lunges, but that pre match sideways groin stretch is a must
-
Theres a bloke at Everton who I reckon could do the job next to him...oh wait
-
Willian and Oscar have persuaded him to sign apparently. Looks good and the crucial decider -hes good on FIFA 16 But can he play right back ?
-
He has put a lot of money in the club and doubtless the trophies wouldnt be there without his and the TV cash. However his 'hands on' approach, due to his love of football could be considered a double edged sword. Eg going to training sessions, shevchenko/torres, whereas other billionaire owners leave the staff to get on with it. Also needs putting in perspective, the club cost roughly the same as one of the yachts.
-
Superb today, probably his best game since Munich
-
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to see Chelsea win away...
-
I can see a lot of 'fans' deserting chelsea in cyberspace if we are relegated, or indeed have a few seasons of mediocrity which I fully anticipate. Disgusting the way some are talking about the greatest manager this club have ever had. Thank god its not really representative.
-
Was thinking the same. That 'wonderful night in Istanbul' was the flookiest final ever.
-
Apart from CFCs demise, this seasons quite enjoyable. From now on challenging for the title will not only be between us, Man utd, Citeh , and Arsenal. Its not only a select few that can splash the cash. Any team that can spend £40m on a top goalscorer, and one or two more quality personnel with the TV revenue available will be in with a shout. For that reason, pretty certain we will see potential champions in the next decade from the Palaces, T*ttenhams, Leicesters, etc
-
Yeah I'm thinking Palarse not only scenting blood , but guts n entrails of a disembowelled team. I predict if we lose, some here will blame Mourinho , and some will say Hiddink is just getting a platinum pension. Lets not forget to look at the players as well.... Anyway hope I am wrong and we embarras the palace 'ultras' n their retarded drummer..

Not sure Raiola considers us a 'big' club now
-
His agent at the time, Henrotey engineered a move out of Chelsea. Lukaku then swithched to a new agent Raiola. Raiola has now said he needs to go to a big club like Citeh, PSG or Man Utd.
-
Glad you, as a chelsea fan, were happy winning the title. If youre unhappy about Lionsden, and think Admin 'fucked up' PM one Now stay on track please.
-
I think most cringed towards the end of his tenure when he appeared at the after match interviews blaming anything. He had plenty of faultlines, as with all geniuses, and I have never met anyone who saw him as flawless. Conversely, here, there are some who say hes set the club back years , blame him solely for the clubs present predicament -when the board, owner, players are equally responsible, and laughably see him as the only voice in who comes to and leaves the club. I would rather move on, discuss what the future holds tbh, but people keep on bringing up Mourinho, and the fairytale of what an ogre he was in destroying any stability, but I suppose people need easy scapegoats, rather than the reality that the structure is creaking.
-
As I said online, but you wouldnt find anyone moaning around SW6.
-
Anyway, back on track.I Agree that leaders for next season are important, as with team building, all singing from the same hymn sheet etc. Its crucial also that a manager is given autonomy. Huge bruisers under Clough like Larry Lloyd would cower in doorways rather than get a tongue lashing off old big 'ead, similarly, the whole United squad were in dread of Redfaces hair dryer treatment. Its no coincidence those two are the greatest British managers to ever manage English teams in the top flight, and were given the freedom to run their squads without interference. Cant ever see that happening at CFC, the nearest we came to it was when Jose was left alone for his two first seasons.
-
Not in May they werent, quite happy to bathe in the glory, as I am sure you were.Yes I actually changed the title back to the Mourinho Thread several times. If I remember rightly Lionsden was banned amongst other things because 158 of his 160 posts were slagging off the team he purported to support.' Kinda funny' too. Not 100% sure, as Mods cant ban. Anyways, back on topic.
