I'm hearing that PSG may be signing him as Mourinho doesn't think he can fit him into his plans, evidenced by his being subbed off on Friday and our signing of Willian and Schurrle. It will be a real shame to lose him and Mata in one window . . . Sorry just making fun of the panicking going on in the Mata thread.

Thought he did very well when he came on, difficult circumstances but he managed to get on the ball a few times and harried their defenders, would have liked to see him come on before the red as I feel he could have had more of an impact. I think the penalty will be good for him in the long run, better now than in the champions league final and it will drive him on to prove himself in the coming games. Being only 20 and taking the decisive penalty in a European cup final says it all about him really.

The PR disaster is getting knocked out of the cup by Swansea and if the image of the club is that if you act like a prat we'll kick you I'm all for that. Now if the kid had been black that would be a PR disaster.

Errr, think I'll just drop this here and leave...

Had some great moments today, loved him bulldozing over carragher and if he can perfect that type of goal he scored today it could be a real weapon for him with his size and strength.

Its a shame Porto are being so unreasonable, I still think he would be a great buy for us but that price is ridiculous, what a shot though, so much power.
