So then why are we paying £70m to try fitting a square peg into a round hole?
-
We're really gonna pay these cocknoses 60m+ for an above average striker after they screwed us over with Stones last summer? **** Everton and **** Lukaku Watch them use that money to outbid us for Koulibaly
-
Let's be real here, Mahrez isn't worth a 50m+ upgrade on Willian in the starting 11. I get the idea of wanting the shiny new toy on the market, but let's save that budget for a position we don't already have a solid player in (b2b midfielder, fast ballplaying CB)

YESSS!! Time to throw away the viagra, my wife is in for a surprise tonight
-
How much was that 50 mill worth now?
-
Rodgers was at Chelsea when Gerrard was 24. Hahahahahahahha
-
Would honestly take him over Ozil. The difference in their work rate really stood out today, laughable that Arsenal spent 50m on him

I imagine that Kroos was signed as a Xabi replacement, he's getting up there in age and the injuries will be catching up to him soon.James on the other hand, will be a replacement for Di Maria in the middle 3 of their 4-3-3. James is a great "modern" player. He can score, he can pass, he defends a lot. He can come back as a defensive midfielder to build attacks if the midfield is failing (just like ibra does). And he's a leader. He had the most assists in the league last season and pretty much carried his team throughout the season, even when Falcao was healthy. If Ibra didn't have his best season ever, I'd say James would've won the best player award easily. I'd rather have him than Di Maria, considering he's still very young and has sky high potential, and won't request as high of wages. If for whatever reason Madrid switches back to 4-2-3-1, then I'd rather have Di Maria as the right winger. Ranieri played James as a winger for a couple of games last year and while he wasn't bad, he certainly wasn't as good as he is in the middle. Near the end when PSG won the title, many Monaco players started to not care anymore but James continued to play well till the very end. I think that says a lot about his character. As a Madrid fan, I'll be delighted with this signing if Angel leaves. But yeah, I still don't see enough room for Isco (who'll be in the same spot as he was last season). If he leaves, I'd love for him to come here assuming we sell one of our AM's

Pleeeeease enough with all the attacking midfielders, wow.
-
Quoted for truth.
-
Well BeIN is a company owned by Monaco's league rivals....nothing fishy there at all lol
-
Name me one deal in the history of real life football that involved 4 players being traded straight up for one.

Because this isn't ****ing Fifa Manager

Considering Atletico's success with strikers, I'd be ecstatic if Lukaku was sent on loan there. Hopefully Someone can work wonders with his game. Our last Belgian who was loaned there hasn't done too bad
-
http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/1832-fernando-torresSigh, little did we know it would turn out as the worst signing in club history Talent wise Benzema definitely has more than Costa, but he can be really incosistent and it's frustrating, just ask Madrid fans. I'd rather have Costa for that sole reason, who has the mentality to perform well for the whole season
-
Taking his monstrous wage demands into consideration, he'll probably cost as much as Pogba does in the long run. Pogba > Kroos for our team definitely. Our midfield in a 4-3-3 could consist of a world class DM in Matic, a world class playmaker in Fabregas, and if we buy Pogba a world class B2B player. Deadly combination No doubt Kroos has talent but having both him and Fab in the midfield would be too much if a liability in defense, and I'd rather have Fab since his passing is a lot more direct which will help with our counter attacks
-
This isn't a very bright statement, so a team can't have more than one player who presses well, has high workrate, and scores goals? Besides, as you said, they both have fantastic movement, that's a pro instead of a con :/Vidal and Oscar can play in the same team, no doubt about it. That said, this isn't PlayStation. We're not selling Oscar and I doubt we're buying Vidal lol
-
Sure let's just ignore his huge miss
-
There have been continuing doubts about Tan's ability to raise the funds he promised for the development of the area. (The costs involved with making the Power station fit for habitation are set to spiral) And without those funds/promises being met, his planning permission can be withdrawn. So while its probably out of our grasp, theres a small chance that it could still be available.

I'm still holding out to the small hope of Battersea, our stadium would be up there with the likes of Bernabeu as the most iconic in the world.
-
What's more dumb is people actually believing that Madrid would trade their best midfielder for Ramires Alonso's gone soon and Modric will be the only creative force they have in the center of the pitch, no way they give him away for a player who's similar to what they already have in Khedira
-
Because he's prone to losing the ball when under pressure, is known to disappear in big games, and has faded away in the second half of the season each year since he joined Barca. All that in addition to his well-documented workrate issues which can be exposed hard if playing in a pivot. That said, he's a legitimate World Class player who only just turned 27 with probably the best vision in football + beautiful direct long balls, and we got him for a great price. Mourinho knows more than all of us and if he believes Fab will do well in his system, then I'm confident
