City don't look like scoring at all. A 2nd for us and we are through.

Torres outshining Agüero by far this match.
-
we have to set Demichelis under pressure more. I know him from his time at Bayern. He is old, he is slow and he is error prone.

Timewasting won't help you Nasri

Chelsea set to complete deal for German youngster
Magic Lamps replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Once, he played in an U19 international game, but I don't remember his performance, which at least means it wasn't that impressive. He looks like a decent player, A signing in the ink of BAmford. I hear he has been really prolific in the A-Jugend Bundesliga but that does not necessarily mean anything. I actually don't see him breaking through but 17year olds who have shown less talent then him have, so what do we now. -
Chelsea set to complete deal for German youngster
Magic Lamps replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Surely we can sell him for more than he costs us, so why not. I am sure a Bundesliga club will pay a a decent amount for him once he has played a couple of years in Arnheim. -
Does that table symbolize a vagina? Lamps is the king. Amazing how the media wanked about steven Gerrard getting that 100th goal. Lamps got his 100th ages ago. But this table with Lamps so fuckin high above all other scoring midfielders appearing n the media is the real good thing about that steve G "record". What for him is a lifetime achievement was only an intermediate step for Lamps. No. Yaya was bad in that game but only because Mikel owned the shit out of him. But for Nigeria Mikel's game is completely different

Kompany was set to miss one month last week, so no wonder he won't be fit. I'd be even happier if Yaya Toure and Agüero would be out. I am confident we can win this. It would be such a great victory and the first real confirmation of our title ambitions.

His absence once again highlights his importance. Bertrand as our cover for LB is not remotedly as good as a Azpilicueta/Ivanovic back up one the other side. I am a big fan of Bert's, I like his pace, his robustness, his tenacity so I am perfectly fine with him playing against weaker oppositions (he should have played vs Schalke tbh) but he is not remotedly as clever as Cole, his offensive and defensive movement is often very predictable and against quality oppositions he will always struggle. So playing him vs City is a bit of a risk. Anyway he will probably be up against Jesus Navas, who also has not much more than pace. Hence I'd risk it.

2010-11 Lamps was injured most of the time. Only then when Roman wanted his new chelsea with AVB and shit we bough exactly one no.10 who was a winger back then. We did not have an other no.10 than Lamps for 8 years, because we did not need one. You should check the stats. Lamps has the 2nd most assists in the history of the EPL. Only a minority of it have been assists to Drogba.

Lampard has assisted everyone. His long range passing has been absolutely sublime over the years. It may have faded a bit, but from 2003-2011 he has been by far our most creative player and main playmaker. We won 10 titles in that time, you don't do this with a playmaker who can only hoof balls to Drogba. He has played amazing passes to a host of players and everyone having watched Chelsea play regularly should know this. Torres failings have nothing to do with bad assistance but lack of movement and lack of conversion.

Torres epitomizes Mourinho’s European tactical master piece
Magic Lamps replied to hjperdeath's topic in Chelsea Articles
DAFUQ did i just read. I don't think what point is more ridiculous. The "thesis" that how a coach is "expected" to play has any influence on his actual success or stating that Diego Simeone and Jürgen Klopp would not make their creative players defend. The only person to expect Chelsea play posession football against top teams is you and e.g. Reus and Götze who have been Dortmunds best defenders last season had more tackles and interceptions than most of our defenders. -
+1. Lampard has never been more defensive or "deep-lying" than this season. It is a little bit of a shame, cos his goalscoring instincts are one of his greatest strengths. Anyway, I think now he has the goalscoring record it is not too important for him to keep scoring as much. HIs number of chances has also drown extremely because we have not had a penalty since 15 games. Our highest goalscorer in history is a defensive midfielder. Lol.

I fuckin hate playing against them. All their shitfaced cunts raise their game immensely against us every time. If City would play against the rest of the world like they play against us, they would be crowned Champions of Europe. At least that is never gonna happen. The problem is their physicality. Their players are as fast as ours but stronger. That is why Mata will be completely useless here. We need to be extremely fast here to ensure we got a pace advantage on as many positions as possible if we do not want to get bullied off the ball all the time. Ramires will escape Fernandinho and Toure at times. But who is more likely to get past Clichy/zabaleta/richards Willian or Schürrle? I reckon Schürrle is maybe a tad faster but Willian has better skills. Anyway, we have to be a bit more solid in defence than vs Schalke, on the other hand if we can remain that standard of finishing (which is unlikely cos City will not allow us that much space) we will win.

Still Fergie wrote an awful lot of BS in that book.

Impressive win. Couldn't watch the match hence would be grateful if anyone has a torrent of it or so. When Eto'o starts scoring and we got Torres on decent form (his second goal was really well taken and his header to the post would have been one of the best headed goals ever, it was fuckin 15 yards out), we are serious contenders on all fronts.
-
This should have been the hardest fixture in the group, but considering who is out for Schalke it is more the 2nd easiest. I expect them to be extremely motivated, their 2nd gear will surely try to impress the manager in such a spectacular fixture. But maybe this will exactly play in our cards. We let them come and counter them to death.

shiiiit. Reminds me of that Torres goal he scored vs Blackburn for Liverpool.
