True and also Gudjohnsen, Hasselbaink before only scored okay amounts of goals per season. For the last decade Lamps has been our most consistent goal threat ending up topscorer of the club more often than not. In fact his conversion rate has been better than any striker he played with, no wonder he has scored more. Still even without a high scoring striker we always had a decent goal tally per season, cos we created enough chances and shared the goals around. When Drogba found a similarly consistent scoring streak we broke all sorts of goal records. But one has to say, Drogba's conversion was not perfect but better than any of his successor's + Drogba scored in big matches and Drogba could score from all sorts of positions. He also created a hell lot of chances. I would be ok, if we had 1 striker who would only score 12 important goals and always contributes to the play.

In fact, the opposite is the case. In England, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and most european countries, we got infrastructure already. There is no event that completely levers out the economy. It is all highly commerzialized of course, but all the people can choose to participate or not. The stadiums are already there, there are no slums that have to be eradicated, no shops are forced to shut down during the game. It is all routine. The boards might be corrupted, but they have less to decide. The infrastructure is there, the competitions are already established, no need to promote them for the cost of human lives. For the WCs in Brazil and Qatar hundreds and thousands of people are made homeless, killed and enslaved. On the other hand decades of Premier League seasons have gone without anyone being harmed.

The main problem with pushups is they ruin your wrists, which is why they have also been abandoned in the German army. So if you do some, perform them on the fists. Healthier, more intense and looks more badass.

hate it, too. There is nothing more corrupted and shamelessly commercialised than international football. The qualifications are full of needless games against midget states, most national football associations are a bunch of undead jackasses. Tournaments take place whereever the most money is paid to Blatter and his fellow parasites. Thousands of families are forced to move and even killed to built stadiums in countries whose infrastructure is completely overchallenged. During the WC, local shops are forced to close so McDonalds and other sponsors don't have competitors. In countries like South Africa, Brazil, a tournament leaves behind scorched earth, a weakened economy, even more impovered population, fleeced by a bunch of corrupt old twats and global corporations. This slaughter is sold as a big party to the media. Horrible crimes committed in the name of sports. One of the most disgusting aspects of our time.

Fraser Forster is amazing. Joe Hart has made one mistake. Nothing to worry about. There were worse times for England. Also England has always had good CBs and LBs. England always had the talent but not the right system to develop them. Youth League? Just play the second teams in the normal fuckin league system. When Germany's national team was in such a detrimental situation like England's has been for years, the DFB changed things. They built decent football pitches all over the country, enhanced the standards for coaches, introduced a 3rd pro league, threw out all those old retarded dumbasses, recruited some decent coaches in the NT. You can't blame it on the players. Engalnd usually had enough talent. 2006 England came to the WC with the 2 of the 3 best players in the world + a worldlass back four. but Sven could not merge that talent to a team Similar in 2010. Lampard and Rooney had been scoring for fun that year. Playing 60+ matche sper season has never helped either. Thing is, in a football mad country there are always enough guys with talent and the right attitude, but they need faith, motivation, regular playing time on a competitive level and the necessary kick in the ass at times. But those U21 leagues just don't provide that. With a bit of luck all those talents like Morrison, McEachran, Chalobah etc can make it. When I have seen Schweinsteiger starting to play on regularly in 2004, I thought he was the worst midfielder ever. But he had the confidence to fail again and again till he made it, cos they had patience in him. In England young players are seldom given that sort of faith. the money that is spread all over the EPL is rather invested in foreign talent than in own youth development. Many people think that is the reason why English talent does not break through, but IMO the problem lies deeper. Without the right support, talents develop slower. Player from England and Spain, even though coming from worse leagues often develop faster cos the inferior quality of the leagues allows them to take more responsibility and play more. The step from U21 to EPL is just a lot bigger than from 3rd Bundesliga to 1st BuLi or from Segunda to Primera divison.

Eto'o has reversed his decision to retire from international football and will play for Cameroon vs Tunisia.

I don't think so. We usually create enough chances, a good deal of them fall to our strikers, but they are shit and don't convert. Last game Oscar, Hazard, William, Mata, Lampard had one chance each and Ba had 4. He should have scored at least one from these. If we had strikers we would simply score more, cos more of the chances falling to our strikers would be converted.
-
I don't know what his problem is. Did he really think he would be starting regularly at Chelsea? He started 3 games for us and was pretty average in the latter 2. It will be a long season, I am sure he will be used often enough till January.
-
I don't think so. He makes mistakes, but he is probably the goalie with the best reflexes in the league. Jaaskelainen, Guzan, Szesney are worse, not mentioning the no.2s
-
Decent game, good hold up play and strength but his finishing and decision-making is not worthy of a striker. When he took the ball off Ruddy he passed it to Bassong instead of laying it back for lamps to shoot on an empty goal. This could have put the tie to bed after 20 mins and we would have been spared a lot of nuisance.

True. But Liverpool also beat Utd. Anyway, I don't expect them to be able sustain their title challenge longer than till February. Like many have forecasted in the predicition thread we had in preseason, the title will be between us and City. The first 7 games of the season - though not optimal for neither us or Ciy - have confirmed that so far. Due to the superiority of our squads I can not see anyone else challenging. At some point Pellegrini will steady City's defense. And even if not, they got so much quality, Agüero&Toure will paper over that more often than not.

Big Sam had an impressive gameplan. And James Tomkins is an awesome defender. anelka really should have finsihed arse off

BBC1, 2 or 3 ?

Luiz Gustavo would be a start but s.o. who can also help the build up play, so our AMs don't have to retrieve all the time would be even better. Xabi Alonso is out of contract next summer...

Came home. saw Spuds and Arsenal lost points

Arsenal and Spurs losing points make this result even better.
-
Yeah, than he would actually have a shot for an international title...oh wait

Lost too many balls, a few good passes, but we never really controlled the game, so no surprise.
-
He probably should not have started. Did not look fit. But some nice long balls and he was decent in the build up. A few inaccurate passes. This game was not his best, but there were worse players on the pitch.

Amazing goal, good work for the 2nd, too. Did more in 10 mins than Mata did in 80. Should start next match, cos both, Schürrle and Mata have been below-par lately.
-
Mata, Lampard, Schürrle, Ivanovic were all pretty shit. Ba was ok in hold up play but shocking finishing. Oscar really ran every distance but was greedy at one or two occasions. Willian of all saved our ass. His good work and "double-header" set Oscar up for the assist and his finish for the 3rd was amazing. Terry and Iva were at fault for the goal. Ashley Cole has started to age quickly. we should build up Bertrand as his replacement as soon as possible. Our finishing, esp. from our strikers is still a worry. Ba's shooting was erratic once again. I just don't know what this guy offers that Lukaku doesn't. Torres and Eto'o are different types of strikers with vast international experience, I get that, but Ba is just Lukaku in worse.

Whoever slating Mou for substituting Mata and bringing on willian and an "injured" Hazard looks quite stupid now. Mou got it 100% right this time.
-
we struggle to find the net for 70 minutes, now it looks like we score for fun. Willian for Mata really changed the game. he worked great to set free Oscar and now scored an absolute scorcher
