Paul Parker about Chelsea and Lukaku http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/paul-parker/lukaku-winning-chelsea-title-123149468.html Parker is such a fool. ...... Even though Parker might be right that loaning Lukaku might be a mistake, but going with experience cos u need it at least in the CL is somehow retraceable. Atm Lukaku has better from than all our strikers, but IMO he is not generally superior yet. To say with Lukaku we would be top is BS. With Lukaku we would not have won vs City, we would have been crushed by Bayern. When he came on in that Super Cup game everyone could see what he still is not. He was brought on to get some minutes of the clock, seconds would have sufficed for us to win, but the only time he got the ball he got bullied off it by players half his size in a situation where drogba, torres or eto'o would easily have won at least a series of throw-ins. Subsequently he shot one of the worst penalty ever. CAn you really blame Mourinho for not putting his entire faith in him as our first choice striker? Even though it is bullshit writing Rafa was playing beautiful football all the time and mourinho just defends, it is true we need a striker capable of producing great goals on his own. Something which Lukaku is clearly not. He is quick, good on the counter, decent in 1vs1s and can attack a cross. But what he needs is service and more importantly space. He can only beat an opponent by pace or strength, but organized defences and clever defenders will not be too impressed with that. Lukaku will have more space playing for a team like Everton than playing for us. Our first striker has to be able to play every game no matter the opponent, but Lukaku is not ready to play against the big boys yet, so what should Mou do? Play lukaku in the league and Etoo/Torres in the CL and vs ManCity, Arsenal, Utd? Does not make any sense. The day Lukaku owns Kompany, Thiago Silva, Boateng or another top10 defender. I'll come out and say: this is our man. Technically, Lukaku is not even half as talented as guys like Sturridge or even Mirallas . But he has the attitude, he has the body and he has instincts to become better than those.

Really? He played in the CL final in Munich. The main problem under Carlo was not only the Torres disaster but when we lost the league in November-January, Drogba had Malaria and Lamps was injured. They could have won us the title like the season before, cos Ancelotti was the right coach to let them do their thing and not interfereing too much as AVB, on the other hand having enough tactical and psychological experience. The player who made problem has to be s.o. who could not be easily sacked

Grammar by Yoda you learned. Just kiddin. I agree with the conent of your post. Has to be a combination of Mata actually not being that good offensively, Oscar emerging and Mata not providing the necessary defensive prowess.
-
He made Villa's defender look like championship level players...wait. Anyway, Shane LOng really is a decent striker, would be a nice backup for many big clubs.
-
lol Evra...brilliant defending^^ Utd made to eat their own medicine
-
theophile-catherine may have an interesting name but he is the weak link in that cardiff side
-
I am sure Cardiff will score another. But I am not so sure that Utd won't.
-
I hate ManU so much

shit united are so lucky. that shot by rooney was so weak if it wasnt for the deflectin the keeper would have caught that with one hand
-
I think he has enough skill to make his pace a real weapon and that already suffices to be a decent player these days where there are almost no traditional out-and-out wingers and everyone is a wanna-be playmaker. A player like him is excellent to come off the bench and make a difference in tight matches and he is only getting used to this league. He had a really good season at SEvilla last year and when he reaches that level here City will be a lot better. He might be overrated and overpriced, but City lack real wingers and he is exactly what they needed. here we go
-
One starts to believe City might not have been thumped by Bayern if they had Pantillimon rather than Hart in goal what a miss by fernandinho
-
I am actually surprised how much Jesus Navas has elevated City. I always deemed him a mere pacewhore, but his skills in combination with his ability to almost always get behind the defender has really given City the penetration they lacked with MIlner in his position. But it is only natural that a side like City with such power in the middle will thrive with added pace and width.
-
As long as we win the league I am fine with that. But those highscoring victories strike fear into every opponent and many players scoring creates enormous momentum and confidence within your side.
-
100m invested in mainly attacking players and still can't even get a shot off against a defense consisting of Demichelis and Lescott, two of the slowest players on the planet.
-
City's side this season resembles our squad in 2009/10 season. Experienced world class players having a really good season altogether resulting in ruthless hammerings of decent teams. Just maybe a bit faster and younger than our title winning side but not with fewer legends in it.
-
what a goal by Negredo. City really smell blood. would love to see that ruthlessness from us one day. The day City go past us the title race will be decided. Let's hope they never will.
-
OMG. City have clear cut opportunities every minute. what a chip by nasri. miskick though
-
what brilliant play by toure. tottenham are so shit
-
Tottenham's defence has been smoked by City's strikers. HOltby in the pivot is not helping either. I rather doubt ADebayor will change that. I even forgot he still played in the EPL. The demolition resumes. Paulinho dribbles with the speed of a sloth. Lamela is just as creative.
-
Spurs maybe should have rather stuck with Friedel. But my word what a golazo this Navas chip was. This was a once in a lifetime shot. He can try this 100 times and won't score another. Makes Robben's tight angle look vs Dortmund look ordinary.
-
Oscar, Iva, JT, Lamps and probably Ramires should be rested, but I am not sure we can do with out him. Is Essien in our CL squad btw? -------Cech Azpi-Cahill-Luiz-Bert ---Rami-Mikel------ Willian-Mata-Schürrle ----Torres/Eto'o------
-
The 4 goals he scored this season have all been trademark. I hope Mou unleashes Lamps attacking threat more often. He is still most effective in the last third. On a further note, how awesome was Azpilicueta today? I'd love to see him used more on the right, cos even though he is ambidextrous, we need his attacking prowess on that side more than on the lef,t where we got Bertrand who is fast, has tenacity and can cross, which should suffice to make him a good LB for this kind of games when he play enough.
-
But it is only possible with Mikel and Ramires on the pitch at the same time, too, which will not be the case too often. But stil lthis game should show that Lampard is not "done" like many users here put it. He was our best player today and really made a difference. He still has something to give esp with his offensive abilities.
-
Lampard has really bounced back today. Awesome performance, did not put a foot wrong.

Lampard gives it to west ham again
