this game should be done and dusted already. We had pretty bad luck it isnt already, but I am sure we will secure it soon.

fuck it. Lamps has been erratic since coming back from his injury. what a turn by ivanovic. hazard-style
-
oh shit this has sunderland writtena ll over it
-
how did Lamps not get on the end of that? should be 2-0 asap
-
what an accurate strike. Right into the top corner. no goalkeeper in the world would have stopped that
-
Matic is already vital to our ball retention. Has made 3 dynamic changing tackles already. great goal by oscar - mataesque
-
maaan red does not suit him at all.

An argument that assumes people in general or in this case muslims rather follow players of their own religion, which at least where i live is rather irrelevant. I think nationality is more important. So signing an Indian, Indian, or US player would boast our fanbase even more. For the sporting perspective it is good to see our board has not considered that aspect so far as long as no actual player we need arises from there.
-
Compared to a great part of European and South American national teams, Ghana is average. Hardly any world class players in there. I don't think it is relevant to watch how Salah performs against FC St. Gallen or Fc Zürich or shit like that to judge him as a player. He has only played against a few big teams. This was in Europe and of those games i have seen most.
-
He has proven himself vs some village teams from Switzerland+some average African countries. The only decent teams he has performed against are us and Spurs, both teams have not exactly been impressive in the RB department in these games. He is just like Marin, maybe a tad faster and younger, but just as one-dimensional and only signed based on a couple of decent games against quality oppositons, in which they accidentally performed well. After German Messi Marin we now got Egyptian Messi salah. i'd much rather keep the only juan. We also got atsu, who is exactly the same fuckin player as Salah, just not as hyped.
-
I know, but in a 4-2-3-1 we got 3 AMs, one left one right, one central. Anyway. I hope mou knows what he is doing exchanging Juan fuckin Mata with some random Egyptian speed merchan, who only impressed in those 4 games vs us.
-
Lol wut? K, Salah is good. But replacing Mata with Sala is like replacing CRonaldo with Antonio VAlencia. We still got Moses, Atsu, Piazon etc out on loan. I doubt that Salah is so much better than those... How many AMs does a club need?
-
I would laugh so hard if this theatre was only to mess with Utd after their summer of transfer failings, them just missing out on another top class player would crush their morale even more.

Losing Mata in midseason would be detrimental, even though he is not a 1st teamer. We can't afford to lose him considering the fact that one injury to one of our major attacking players, would leave us with only 3 players for as many postions. When the CL and FA Cup resume, Mata will play feature in at least every other game, so if he performs that will be enough to warrant a place in Brazil. This argument is a bit hypocritical anyway. He will go there no matter what happens and he will only play a few minutes at the World Cup, cos he is not good enough to make the starting lineup and offers nothing the starters don't to be effective coming of the bench. The only way I see Mata leaving this month is a Rooney+cash (at least 15m ) or when anyone offers crazy money. When Bale is worth 100m, Mata should be at least half that. He might not be in Jose's plans, but we miss his set pieces and his creativity at times. With Matic at the club and the wingers covering we should have enough defensive cover to remedy his defensive limits, but he remains maybe the best passer and technician in the team and you just don't sell those players, at least not during the season.
-
At least we can get some money for him when he actually turns out good. Our problem has often been that we don't get enough for Youth players who have enjoye a genuine education here, like Borini or Cork just because they do not sign long term contracts. Even if they are not worldbeaters they should be worth a few millons to finance the money put into them by the club.

Luiz performance indeed was poor and the yellow card was rather unnecesary, but everyone is saying Luiz gets himself in danger with his tackles. In over 280 professional games, Luiz has never been sent off. Never. This is quite remarkable for a CB. He knows what he is doing, even though his challenges are often poor like they were yesterday,

Ronaldo fully deserved this other than Ribery. It was the team effort that gave Bayern those titles. Ribery scored 10 goals or so last season, you can't win the Ballon d'or when aplayer who plays the exact same positon score multiple times that amount. Ronaldo is simply the superior footballer, Ribery is ok, but CR is one of the best ever. Just as Messi. Ribery does not deserve to even be in contention. btw all three are cunts.

I'd much rather have a loyal and solid back up like him who has no problems being on the bench and delivers when called upon than some lousy 5m.
-
Well, he should rather stay for us to have a backup. Even if we buy Shaw we still have to buy a back up for him.
-
That's his ceiling so he will not get any better on a loan. Even if he only makes one more appearance it would still be better than him being not available. We lack depth in the LB position and loaning him out does not help that problem. But maybe that indicates we will attempt to sign Shaw already.

In march they have to go to Hull, Old Trafford and The Emirates. Anfield it is for them in April whilst they play Everton at Goodison Park on the penultimate day of the season. As so often a win there could seal the Championship. but I bet they will lose at least 5 points in these matches. Not much but if we hold them at the Etihad and get three points out of Anfield for once I can't see why we can't go the distance. Our schedule is not quite as hard as theirs, which is what makes me most confident. But true it is not so easy for us to walk over the small teams as we got no consistent goal threats in our strikeforce.

Actually Ballack was an attacking midfielder. he could score goals from any range with both feet. he only turned into a more defensively minded midfielder because we had Lamps. But that was in a 4-3-3. Matic has a completely different job. He is a disciplined, tactical tackler, interceptor and distributor. Whilst Ballack was capable of that, too,he was spectacular. Not only with his goals but also when he sat deep with his powerful tackles and diagonal balls. Matic will never be the attacking threat Ballack was but defensively he has learned much more already. Though, Matic should take on some brawn to be as strong as Ballack. He might be 1,94m but he is a beanpole. Anyway I like how Mou sets up our pivot. It's City style, with Matic being the more disciplined player sitting back, playing passes from depp, intercepting and working horicontally controlling the midfield like Fernandinho does, Ramires can drive forward with his pace and enrgy like Yaya Toure (who unfortunately is the much better footballer).
-
We really could use that momentum to sign Shaw, even though there is no imminent need. Cole will surely be here for another year, whilst i do not get why Mou is overlooking Bertrand who is solid defensively and lightning fast. Anyway what is behind that Southampton meltdown btw?
-
MvG has a badass new leather jacket but dafuq has happened to Schürrles well groomed style? Hazard looks like your regular dude chilling in the last row in the college class playing with his iphone
-
That tackle is reckless but he was always going for the ball, he even got to it. No way breaking the leg was his intention. You need some very bad luck to break your leg in that process. btw would not mind him here. Even though I am not sure CB young CB should be priority right now. JT is aging out, so we might rather look for a experienced CB to replace him.
