  1. spot on. Alexis would excel in the epl if used correctly. It does not fit our players' style to swing in 80 crosses per game like manU do. Hence a striker like Mandzukic would be wasted here. A player like Sanchez, who can be found anywhere in the attacking third, creates space with his runs and has a shot as thunderous as it is precise would be perfect to play in front of our 3 AMs or as a partner to Lukaku/Costa, as he complements both of them.
  2. if there is any truth in the david luiz = alexis + song rumour, we should take it. what a player sanchez is. That is not the first goal of this sort he scored this season.
  3. this is cursed. Also arda turan has to pull out already.
  4. just pulled injured out of the title decider
  5. I believe the Bundesliga is a joke compared to it.
  6. so much for Mandzukic and his tiny arms being "big and strong". He looks a geeky weakling next to Gary. Time will tell if he is physical enough to play lone striker in the epl.
  7. mbia belongs to QPR, I'd much rather take Moreno from Sevilla, if we don't get Rakitic. But Marin indeed gives us a foundation for further talks with Sevilla, even though not a strong one.
  8. Lukaku >> mandzukic keep him. If we can't play him, at least let him sign an extension. Next year he will be worth 30m+
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1UUd2uttvA another vid featuring almost all his goals for Bayern. Ironically the video's title is "complete striker" which he as the video shows clearly is not. All of his goals, except 2 are on touch finishes inside the box, the other two he takes 3 touches. He is a poacher. A very good one who can also link the play up, but he still remains a poacher. We could have used a decent one in most of our losses this season, but this does not alter what Mou has said: he wants a striker who offers more than that which is why I can't Mandzu being first choice. Also I don't see why Mario would be better as 2nd choice than Lukaku, who is much stronger anIMd faster and is better on the counter. IMO in a Luiz-Mandzukic swap deal we are the ones who end up on the losing side. Luiz has more class as a player. He can play RB, CB, CDM and CM. Even though he is not worldclass in any, he often perfroms world class in big matches. His performance against PSG home was monstrous, he bullied Arsenal all the way, he was great vs ManCity. also he has a classy guy who is great for the teamspirit. We should not sell a player whose best is yet to come to an CL rival. If we need new strikers, we should secure the first option first. then consider if Lukaku should not be first choice and then look if we buy Mandzukic but do not give Bayern a player we need as much as them but buy him.
  10. amazing vid. Why have i never heard of that player? What a sharp, combative beast he is. He next to matic and we would probably never concede again. Anyway, conceding has not been the problem. The problem is rather we need a player who can slice through the opponent's midfield from deep, multiple times per match, as this is what we need to complete our team. I have not seen enough of this guy, to say he can. Rakitic might be a bit closer.
  11. With him, Kalas, Luiz and Azpi we will have the fastest defense in the world. True, there are players with better tackling and defensive positioning, but one has to admit he does work his socks off. We shall not play him in the same team as Lamps or Mikel, cos all three have a very pedestrian defending style. Apart from his pace, his early crosses and throughs also look damn good.
  12. Dude, I was one of the best players in the 3rd and 2nd Luxembougish division and I am about the worst footballer ever. Of course league strength is a major factor. A few years ago there was a striker who scored more than 50 goals in Estland. Never heard of him again.
  13. He is good, no doubt, esp when it comes to scoring and assisting he is more consistent than e.b. Oscar, but eh also plays in a much worse league in a team that plays for him. Surely there is a reason, he has never played for Brazil
  14. His finishing, positioning and killer instinct is on a really high level, also he has the perfect age. He really reminds of Eidur Gudjohnsen, with his calmness on the ball and his preference for placement, lobbed and delayed shots. Other than that, he has no signigicant strengths nor weaknesses. His link-up, shot power, pace, strength and stamina are all quite decent, but nothing special. Those high-scoring Dutch strikers are usually 15% likely to become top strikers. He is surely better than all our 3 strikers of last season, but not much.
  15. Ba will surely leave so the worst of our 3 strikers will remain? Probably only because there is little Mou can do about it, as Torres will surely continue to receive his exorbitant salary a further 2 years, cos he will never can anything close to that anywhere else. That is the only reason for him staying. He does not give a fuck about his career anymore, no he is not Spain international anymore, he just wants to get as much money from the club as possible.
  16. Please Atletico, Milan, someone take that cancer away from us. he has cost us millions and titles, it has to end .
  17. Ricardo Rodriguez, Moreno, Shaw, all won't be cheap, but their price will probably in that order. Rodriguez is maybe 1 year ahead of Shaw, but 3 years older, if that makes Shaw worth double is another question. IMO neither is ready for Chelsea. Better keep Cole for another year or bring back van Aanholt. Defensively he is maybe not quite as good, but his pace is so immense, when a striker gets past him, you can be sure Patrick catches him again.
  18. Rom is the best under 21 striker in the world. The question is not, is he good enough but will we give a young striker a chance
  19. yes. The players lives for his highlight reel. A nice pass or a freekick every game and void in between. Turns up for one moment, or is invisible whole match - just like Ibra.
  20. If he and Bertrand leave we need two LBs, so we have to recall van Aanholt. Anyway, sad to see such a legend leave, but I can see why.
  21. Pat Roberts is a 78 year old republican Senator for the state of Kansas.
  22. no, he doesn't Anyway, the point is he first has to prove himself in a stronger, league, but he has as much talent as Eden, just not as much pace. He has quadrupled his market value within 2 years and has become the best player in the Belgian league.
  23. Schweinsteiger, Özil, Neuer Andrea Pirlo, Francesco Totti, Alessandro Nesta, Favio Cannavaro, Gerrard, Giggs, Scholes, Rooney are the most obvious cases that come to my mind
  24. We don't want a player who "isn't as bad as people are making out" or "only has been playing in a shit team" of whom "we might have seen a different performance" We are Chelsea Football Club FFS. Only the very best have a place here. If we buy a top CM, great, if we give a youngster a chance instead even better. But we fuckin don't need mediocre players, cos we coincidentially already got too many and are trying to get rid of them.
