schalke 05 should have been double figueres today if we weren't so crappy finishers.
-
only negative about our performance is once again our extremely wasteful finishing.
-
I didn't realize Schalke were such a tall team until Jose said so. They got 5 players above 1,90m and apart from Uchida there shortest player is 1,86m. but they have to make the game today and that is not their strength, whilst we are capable of a nice counter attack once in a while.
-
lol. tbf those tight bibs can be a mess to get yourself into when you have long arms. btw would really like Salah to play today. Schalke struggle when attacked by pacy players
-
Once again had a rather decent game. Would love to see him back here as a squad member. For sure some 15+ games some of them in the CL should be enough. Also the way he plays for Southhampton would surely be good enough to challenge Luis + the most rightfooted leftback ever for the LB squad.

Unfortunately the tore of the outer ligament has been confirmed.Presumably, Marco Rues will rejoin team training at the beginning of January. Get weel soon, Marco! No one can have so much bad luck! You will do it once again, the whole BVB family stands behind you!

Like most posters already pointed out there is no need buying another winger below the quality oft reus, we got so much depth in that position every type of player we are linked with already got in the squad. Quadrado is a slightly Mord productive willian, shaqiri a tad more technical Moses.
-
You are right. He even completed 101.3% of his passes, cos one of those was so much backwards it disturbed the space-time-continuum and arrived at the teammate twice.

I live in Germany and I am not a Dortmund fan, but they were clearly robbed by that annoying Paderborn team who have nothign to do in the bundesliga and played like shit today. Dortmund were average but still better than scp and deserved a win. But refs are a major factor in the modern game. Taht goal was not even close to being offside. perfectly legit. Anyway. Back to reus. Shame he got injured again. Usually BVB players get injured because they are rushed back by their shitty doctors, but that tackle would have damaged anyone's ankle. But for 25m reus is worth it even if we only get 30 games per season out of him.
-
excellent game. only chance conversion lacking once again.
-
exactly. Where is Kalas when you need him? Cahill is still pretty agile for his size, he and JT should be experienced enough to deal with little Berahino. Anyway. Maybe this game is also a chance to shuffle the pack a bit and play Zouma and/or Ake to rest some players for Schalke where we have to win in order to secure 1st spot.

Khedira is not the quality, Bayern or us should be looking for to replace anyone. If anything he could give us further depth in a department we lack it. But it would be a short time solution given the emergence of Chalobah, van Ginkel etc. Also BAyern might have injury problems with most of their midfielders, but they got hojberg and rhode as covers who already are close to khedira level. Actually i can only see him staying at real or joining arsenal.

tbf England have been head and shoulders above Scotland, who did not have yet found their game, I can't recall any scottish chances in the past 40 mins of football.
-
respect to the scottish fight, but England are closing the technically weak Scottish players down, get the ball early leave them no chance. Playing this cleverly. btw one fundamental aspect of playing cleverly is not playing Cleverley.
-
This won't help us if Reus himself rejects the move to Chelea. I am sure we could convince Dortmund to rather sell to us than to Bayern, who they despise. It is more about how much Rues really is too loyal to BVB to join Bayern. IMO guaranteed first spot for him gives us the advantage over Real. City should not be contender. By january we should be 10+ points above them. Who would choose this over analmost certain EPL crown in his first season?

I fuckin hate international breaks. Since when there are so many? The only good thing about this one is, Ramy, Cesc and Costa will have 2 weeks rest.
-
Finally. Could have been easier, but in the end liverpool rarely troubled us did not have a single clear cut chance. They got their freaky fluke goal but nothing else, which is exactly what they deserved. Hazard has to learn how to finish but that's it. we contained them throughout
-
Jt&Iva and also Cahill are aging. there will always be room for them when they are good enough.
-
absolutely would love the 2 as well, also as characters, especially Müller. Their passion for the game and attitude makes them perfect for this club. Also would complement Hazard quite well.
-
Müller is not the kind of player to go after money or playing time. Müller might very well be the most loyal person in world football. He joined Bayern since he was old enough to play there (10 years). He married his wife, with whom he was together the day he legally could (his 18th birthday). Despite knowing he would once earn massive money as a professional footballer and despite having more lucrative offers from abroad he would always stay with his choices. That is just the way he is which is why signing Müller would be extremely far fetched.
-
We should invite Demba Ba himself to the game and make him award Slippy Gerrard a golden Banana skin. He fuckin deserves that title.
-
when you play the first team in corny away matches you can only lose. Even when you win the match the important players are exhausted for one of the most difficult away games of the season. On the other hand even a youth team could have played for a draw here.
-
This game was always gonna end in a draw. Maribor is hard place to go even though we could have easily won this with a bit less choking. A win would not have automatically qualified us anyway so why play the first team in fuckin slovakia?
-
holy shit how did costa manage to telegraph that one?
