  1. It is no secret aguero is better than Diego. ESP becuase he is more mobile he is more effective against parked buses. But costa is close and we should not forget its first season in epl
  2. I hate this fixture, we always seem to lose at Newcastle. At least Remy can't score against us this time. The thing is they thrive on open park games, with their powerful but technically limited players driving through the middle. So the absence of Matic is particularly untimely. Anyway, I go along with Choulo's and other's idea of playing Mikel AND Ramires, resting Oscar. Also Ivanovic deserves a rest once. -----------Tibo---------- Azpi--Cahill---JT---Luis -------Mikel--Ramy----- Schürrle--Fab---Hazard ------------Costa--------- I know they will be ambitious and give their all, but just as Spurs they have some absolute muppets in their team especially in Defense, who will commit error after error when we put them under sufficient pressure. I am pretty sure they will start like Tottenham and run their lungs out, so our defense is key to withstand their punctual onslaughts. On the other side of the field, we should look to stretch them with two AMs attacking one side, dribblings and little on-twos giving us space. When enough service falls to Costa we will score. I can not see us failing to score vs that joke of a defense. So as long as we don't surrender them midfield, or committing too many player forward at a time, we should be fine.
  3. Sure, but that means nothing if we don't slip up. And they still have to come to Stamford Bridge. Sure City out of the COC and probably will be out of the CL soon, whilst we have still to play in all Comps. But our squad is good enough to not slip up more often than City. And if we pick up injuries, we should be able to replace them by making some spontaneous signings or recalling players.
  4. Messi's toplevel is almost unreachable. In his best time from 2009-2011 he could make a goal out of nowhere. At any given setup, 5,6 defenders in front of him all no problem, dribbling past every single one + the goalkeeper. Or if he did not like to dribble he could simply work himself some space and hammer it into the corner. Every other player of this generation can only dream of that ability making a goal out of every given setup. But Messi has declined a bit and is not able to do that consistently anymore. Just as Agüero. But both (still) have the ability to score out of nothing, even though they now have to find a way how instead of simply chosing one. That is what I meant with level. And it is not true that no one can reach their level NOW. Discount penalties and Suarez scored more than both last season. And he did it in the EPL. Maybe no one, esp no one from the EPL, can reach that consistency, but during given seasons, there can be players who temporarily reached or even exceeded their level. Suarez last season for example
  5. Agüero is close to Messi's level right now. Never mind penaldo with his 80 minute tap-in braces to socre the 7,8 nil against teams called eibar or elche. Agüero just as Suarez last season is carrying a team's title bid all on his own. City are getting better though. Unfortunately they should have done so a few months back to have a sniff at the title.
  6. brilliant at intercepting, such quick reactions. But should not adapt Cahill's style to back off tackles. He doesn't need to, with his pace he will recover anyway. Also his passing technique looks damn awkward. But all in all impressive cameo (dat block)
  7. sunderland are so pathetic. What a forfeit. Classic. Teams defending for their lives against us but rolling over to our rivals. But this season that won't stop us. Refs, the FA, teams, media, they all can conspire against us we will still win this damn title by a country mile
  8. now that's efficient. hope their spirit is broken now. should not concede.
  9. spurs can't go this tempo the whole match, but drogba is a bit too slow to make shooting chances out of those little pockets of space
  10. cahill with a horror start, just as our entire back four. tottenham could be 2-0 up already. No clue why jose is playing the same lineup over and over again.
  11. dafuq is drogba playing once again? I would have Remy over him every time
  12. I guess Tottenham will lineup along the lines of -----------------llrois---------- Naughton--Fazio--Verton--Davies --------Mason----Bentaleb--------- Lamela-----Kane----------Eriksen --------------soldado---------------- That team looks really shit on paper but has been on decent form. Esp their no-name double pivot has carried them, but I'd be really disappointed if those two muppets would stop fabregas and Oscar. There is no chance that they will park the bus with that team, considering lamela and eriksen have never in their lives made a tackle inentionally. They will try to take the game to us and that will play into our cards esp with a counter attack striker like Remy. In the case that their pressing pays off like it did against everton we should be able to bring in Drogba as a second striker and simply beat them by power, pumping long balls into their box. They might be on form, but their entire back 6 is error prone as fuck and will fail when we put them under enough pressure.
  13. But that only works because Neuer this year had incredible luck. Usually he has 2 or 3 mega blunders that cost a goal per season because of his advantageous style of play. Being a regular observer of both IMO there are only a few major differences in quality between our own Tibo and Neuer. First obviously Neuer is more prepared to storm out of his goal for long balls and as a consequence often is found further up. But if that is a necessary advantage I don't know because not everytime he comes out of his goal is really necessary + I don't remember Tibo conceding once only because he did not chase a long ball.... Secondly Neuer usually parries over the bar or around the post instead of letting it bounce just in front of him. He concedes more corners but is not forced to further saves. In terms of reflexes and box control, Tibo is even a tad better than Neuer. Though Neuer's kicking and ability on the ballin general is better. The season he has had would make him deserve that Ballon D'or. We all know it will be Ronaldo. But what is that award still worth, when the player who actually had the best season of all is not even nominated.
  14. As a Chelsea fan i have grown to hate ManCity. So it saddens me to see that Lampard can so easily integrate himself into that pathetic plastic club. I have always looked up to him due to his professionalism, performances and also his loyalty, but now you can't really uphold the last claim. Nonetheless he remains a legend because of the goals he scored and the titles he's won. But for him, personal success is obviously more important than Chelsea's. At 36 he has the best goals per minute ratio in English football and is still miles ahead of little Steve G. Shame this is all worth nothing just because he switched to the wrong shade of blue just for a 100k extra. Some call him traior or Judas, but in short he turned out a disappointment. Not as a player, but as a person. If that impedes his legend status I don't know. How do you evaluate a character and turn this into a legend's ranking without knowing wha thas actually been there behind the scenes. When we win the title, and I am sure we will, no matter what non-stories daily mail will publish, the 211 goal, leading us to the CL, EL and league titles will remain, nothing more.
  15. After the media labelling us as an all-conquering machine, now they all go about how we have been found out, City going to catch us because of their easy December schedule. After a couple of days of reflection, one positive we can take from this match is that our defence has stabilized after some erratic performances at beginning of the season. I still got no clue why Jose played the same team 3times in a row. One would not even do this in Fifa. At least could have mixed up the offense. But if we keep up working on us, there will be no "found out" at all. We have an ensemble of creative players, who will at their day, make enough chances for any striker to score esp one of the calibre of Diego Costa. Secondly, we still have the good direct long ball football in us + danger from set pieces. Would have hoped for a bit more of that on Saturday, but I am pretty sure, if this would have been a game at St.Marys, Swansea or white Hart Lane we would have.
  16. Why the actual fuck are Southampton 3rd? They played like shit today in front of their own fucking crowd. I bet they wil have the game of their lives against us. Mangala really is the only liability for City so far. Without Lampard he would probably have cost them the game. Lamps shows again what a brilliant super-sub he would have been for us. If he had stayed here, we would would probably have 8 points more on City. Sure, he was off once he was offered 190k per week by City, but we could have at least signed a replacement with similar goalscoring ability.
  17. this would effectively postpone if not end the title race. Actually I don't care about any other rival team than City who are our only real competitor. I am pretty sure they will win against Southampton, who have been poor since a while now but until the Villa game got away with it. City will play as shit as usually but Agüero will keep up their alibi title bid. We will have 8 games within 34 days all against thoroughly beatable opposition. The toughest probably will be the trips to St.Marys and to 3point lane. If we win those or win 7 draw 1, we will be champions simple as December will be the first tough period in the season. It will be the same cold and wet winter as usual in England, the fixtures come hard and fast, alone those 3 matches between boxing day and new year's eve I imagine to be gruelling. We might pick up some injuries, and some of our key players get tired. This will show how deep our squad really is and more interestingly show how ready Ake, Zouma and Salah really are.
  18. I'll probably get crucified for this but I do not really see why Koke is worth that inflated buy out clause. Yes he is a decent playmaker who puts in a defensive shift. He can pass and has nice vision and understanding of the game at only 22. But he is no better than Pep and imo can't play any other position in our system than CM or CAM due to his lack of pace.
  19. good i hope he will score many more. But he probably will never recoup his transfer fee.
  20. It would be Deutschland unter allem Anyway. Even GErman newspapers titled England 3 GErmany 0.This matchday. But Bundesliga is not Germany. Anyway let's not fool ourselves, sadly 3 German teams are already or almost qualified as 1st of the group.
  21. probably. But City have Agüero. When City play anything close to their potential, they will go through. But I'm pretty sure they will be eliminated from every team they can face in the round of 16 bar Leverkusen.
  22. I want City to go through, that would be the best for English football + for our chances winning the league. Of course it would also be sweet for them only play Europa League and their "historic" win counting for nothing. I am pretty sure ZSKA will not win in Munich, but I can't see City winning in Rome either. So it is more probable that they will either be 2nd or 4th than 3rd.
  23. Awesome performance. People say Schalke made it easy for us, and for sure that is right, how three schalke players rise for their own goal with no cfc player near was comicaalso Fährman did not really perform well. but tbf Santana tackled like his life depended on it, also Uchida and KPB ran their lungs out. They simply are not any better. Nor were they at their draw at the bridge. They did their usual stuff, playing diagonals to their fullbacks, pump crosses into the box and hope someone is in the right place. That is enough for most Bundesliga teams. But today we raised our level and got the result the performance deserved. If Costa had had his scoring boots on today this would have been at least 8-0, which IMO it should in order to put German football in to place. We have to work on our finishing. We will not get those 15,20 chances against Real or Bayern. all Players had a decent game, but Azpilicueta had one or two bad moments. Willian and FAbregas stood out, Oscar and Hazard were tireless. Drogba and Ramires were a breeze of fresh air when they came on.
