  1. It is just mind games. Nasri knows City are backs to the wall in the title race. I can't see them winning any trophies this season, but hey, when Barcelona have eliminated them from the CL he has a free Tue/Wed evening to follow our remaining CL games and Carling Cup final. What impressed me most about his statement is further down. He said: City will get 90 points and be champions. LMFAO. They got 52 points now with 13 games to play which means they can get 91 points at best and 89 points at second best. You don't need to be a mathmatician to notice that there is something wrong with his calculation. Usually it takes 86 points to win the league. For them to reach that they can only allow themselves 1 defeat and 1 loss, whilst having to go to Pool, spurs and United, all four fighting for 4th place. For us to only reach 86 points we can allow ourselves like 4 defeats or 6 draws or more probably 1 defeat 4 draws (87 pts) / 2 defeats and 3 draws. Nasri is right about that City were behind at this time in their two title wins and required some major cock-ups from us, pool and Utd. But this time it would take an even bigger one.
  2. Maybe a bit OTT to still slag him for some random stories that have nothing to do with us. People have the right to believe he is a traitor but not everything he does is defined by that. Also IMO labelling him as Judas is the wrong metaphor here. What Judas did to Jesus was more than treason. 1) After his treason, Judas still pretended to still be a disciple also having received his reward for treason - Lampard already left us officially long before his "treason" signing and scoring for City 2) Judas treason resulted in Jesus being killed - we are fuckin top of the league and not really much worse off without him 3) It was Judas's destiny to betray Jesus and hence fulfill Jesus destiny aka the absolution of mankind - Lampard signing for City was - Lampard to City destiny - yeah sure When you think about it, Stevie G is more of a Judas for liverpool, who the media hail as Christ's second coming, consistently scoring and assisting against his own team whilst still wearing their shirt is more Judas-like.
  3. this one counts. yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah willllllliaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
  4. if we were manU we would get 10 mins fergie time. that interruption lasted at least 4 mins
  5. good job refs. keeping the title race tight
  6. Still got time to win this. Should have kept the other striker on
  7. what a save by cech. best save of the season.
  8. cuadrado is sloppy at times. not that great technically. but hey xirli was the sme
  9. JOhn stones is brilliant. surely does not need a crash course in bus parking
  10. our crosses are so poor. all our pace is useless against a team that is so fuckin deep. Fabregas would have been quite useful
  11. You can tell why Everton don't concede much, they are camping 10 players in da box. Crouch is rocking it once again vs City
  12. tbf his amount of goals is inflated by the incredible amount of bang on shite teams he has faced in EL, COC and FA Cup. I have seen a compilation of all his goals and most of them are results of the opposition's defensive errors. Some of themeven gave him the ball directly. But he is confident and clinical enough to punish them all. Also the way he weights headers is something special. IMO he is an old-fashioned, direct attacking player with an excellent eye for goal. His all-round game is very solid, very few weaknesses for that age, even though his strengths are not as clear either apart from his finishing of course. That makes him the English Thomas Müller who actually had a pretty similar season in 2010 when he had his break through. They are similar in quite everything, stature, playing style, movement. Also both can create space for themselves and score goals out of nothing even though they are not eye-catching on the field otherwise. No idea yet, whether he is the next big thing, but he could be. Pretty sure he will not go down into mediocrity. This is not all down to luck but also to hard work, attitude and that touch of class and confidence which makes me see him as a rising force in the EPL.
  13. I like how people reproach Oscar (6 goals 7 assists) for lack of creativity/productivity and want us to replace him with Koke (1 goal 8 assists) or Isco (2 goals 7 assists). Last season Oscar scored 11 goals, this season will probably go into double figueres again. Even when does nothing in attack he tracks back every time we lose the ball, runs and tackles like crazy so we are moaning on a high level here (and rightly so, we are Chelsea FFS). The problem with our team is that because the defense is so shaky, esp Willian, Oscar have to track back every time. Attacking players defending is usual, even Bayerns or Atletico attackers usually track back, but our defense plays so much lower. So of course Oscar, Willian are not exactly fresh when attacking. So we should blame our tactics as well as Cahill's and Iva's lack of defensive stability first. Though Oscar has room to improve. Defensive duties are no excuse for stopping your development as a player like they were for Mikel. For the physical side of his game he should put on some brawn which should be no problem given the club's facilities. The most important thing about him is surely consistency. hen you look at the goals and assists he has contributed this season, you can't say that he does not have it in him. He can dribble, shoot and has some nice flicks and lay offs in his locker. If he would replicate that a tad more consistently, we would not be asking if it was right to sell Mata. As for KDB, he has been demonstrating his ability impressively in recent months. But one has to take into consideration that KDB can rest much longer than Oscar between games and has almost no defensive responsibilites (IMO on ability only, he should still be here but one never know what has been behind the scenes/in training etc). To summarize, we should judge Oscar when he is not excessively overplayed and our defense is not backing off into the last 20 yards before the goal and still missing the tackles.
  14. Nervous about this one. Really can't afford to lose another coc final to the spuds.
  15. Not getting any better for City with them having to go to Stoke still without their Ivorians next week. Get your field glasses out again, City.
  16. Chelsea reject and best player in the bundesliga by a million lightyears. Compare his to Oscar's performance today.... Selling Mata was probably wise, but de Bruyne should either have gotten more of a chance or sold for a higher price(same with sturridge btw). I know KDB can't defend but his output is so much better than Oscar's. I don't get how most teams have 3,4 players with only basic defensive duties and we can't even afford a single player staying higher up the field. Instead of strengthening our erratic defense, we sell every attacking player that does not track the defender completely disregarding their offensive qualities.
  17. doesn't matter. it is 7 points lead. we should be able to carry that over the line. 14 games left
  18. Ramires, cuadrado, hazard, remy the pace on that team is mesmerizing
  19. Cuadrado clearly still getting used to the league
