Great cross from.him for the 1-0. 3rd assist of the tournament...sign him.up!

That is correct. His athleticism, pace and strength make him compliment any of our other midfielders perfectly. Lets just hope he doesn't get injured. I know. I have given up hope that he will become some kind of world beater despite having the technical and physical tools to become a great layer. I think he is wasted playing in the front 3 of our 3-4-3 but he could become an ok CM like you said. even though he does not yet have the mental maturity to excel in that role for us he might still be a useful back up. IMO we pressurize our youth players too much. I would be perfectly fine if we could just recruit squad and utiltiy players from the academy. RLC, Nat, Baker, Tammy, Mosunda etc will never be starters here but could be decent alternatives from the bench in a few years, win titles and probably get more money than if they were playing for clubs where they could start.

+Baka is only 22 and already offers similar defensive stats and it is not that Matic is offensively very valuable. Matic will be 29 when the new season starts and has been into decline for years now. Strategically this replacement makes too much sense. Baka will hardly elevate us to another level but it will surely help not to get overrun in midfield, make us more press resistance and give us more aerial presence in midfield when handling second balls. Also we can combine him with any of our other midfielders, namely Cesc, Nat, Kante or even Baker or RLC if we wis to play them there.

I'd say he is like the German Nathan Ake. Jack of all trades. Good enough for low to mid-table sides and maybe to be an utility player for good sides. No undisputed starter for Hoffenheim. He is two footed and can play any position in a back 4 or 3. Has only 1 year left on his contract, so he should be dirt cheap. I'd say snap him up. He will never make it here but if he would be open to moving here we could loan him out to a decent EPL side and then make a huge profit on him. Ultimate cash cow.
-
The thing his we willl get neither. Which is a shame. I would have taken Jerome with open arms since the first moved to England, in any capacity. But Bayern do not sell if the player or the contract situation do not force them to do so. And neither is in sight in this particular case.
-
I think we all know that he will never make it as a starter here or at any other top club. But he can be one for some low to mid table teams in a top league or remain here and be deputy to Bakayoko and Kante, which IMO he should be realistic enough to do. He is not gonna become a world beater but he will get his chances here over those long seasons we will be playing as regu in the CL. He can be our new Mikel which is something every team needs even though most people do not give those players enough credit. Still Mikel played 120 mins of our Champions League final win and if he stays Nat has the chance to do so too.
-
That is harsh on both but particularly Manolas. He is extremely quick for a defender and has decent tactical ability and positional awareness. I think him and Cahill are about on par with Manolas still being at an age where he can improve as a defender.
-
No he did not score. Gray and Abraham were the ones tos core for England. Overall BAker was a passenger. And time is not on his side anymore. Sadly, I am pretty sure he will not make it here
-
Mourinho is not gonna buy all three Fabinho, Matic and Nainggolan. Not even he is that stupid.
-
But in the end money talks and if they reject 45m from us, we don't come back and they have to sell for 30m to someone else they will regret it and next time they will be a bit less greedy when we bid for one of their players. The other leagues have to step up their bids if they want to compete in the long term as the market will sooner or later smoothen those ineffeciencies.
-
I honestly don't. Apart from his goal yesterday he did nothing for his team apart from missing a free header early on. Don't get me wrong, the opposition was decent and marked him tightly but this was no vintage German defence like the one that won the u21 em in 2009 and still they completely shut him out. I think he needs at least two more seasons out on loan to be anywhere near squad player material for us. Atm I doubt he will start over Llorente. That is no shame though, he is only 19 and has plenty of time to learn. But thinking that he is ready to start for us is delusional.

beat me to it. typical Tammy goal. the assist from will hughes was quality tho.

Mate, you completely misunderstood me. I do not want to insult you, I am genuinely worried about your mental health. First I thought you were just one of those numerous player fanboys who spam the player threads for a couple of weeks with their absurd conceptions only to grow tired and disappear. But now I am genuinely worried about your mental well-being. I reckon you are at an early stage but you should definitely act sooner rather than later. Altering your perception of reality to accomodate a specific notion is a really dangerous pattern in human behaviour. I have many friends in the Vienna area, maybe I can ask them if they know someone to help you. There are also ways to do this anonymously if you feel ashamed.

the story goes on http://www.squawka.com/news/tammy-abrahams-decision-to-join-swansea-over-newcastle-labelled-as-pathetic-by-ex-magpies-striker/964017 The only thing pathetic is that bitter guy putting his foot in a 19 year for not joining his old club obviously after not even having understood Tammy's reasons to do so. What a dumb turd. IMO Swansea is a better club for youth development than Newcastle which is why I am fully behind that decision. I hope he will have a great spell.

There are 5 stages of loss and grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. You are currently in the first stage.

If you are all so sure, then you should bet. The odds for him staying at Juve are excellent 11/2. Easy money for you then.
-
LOL. This is gold. Especially considering Cahill is 1.5 years older than Bonucci and Baba Rahman will probably never play for a top team again.
-
I know. Apart from his obvious deficiencies in logical thinking, this guy's irrational and OTT fondness for Matic does not only blur his view on Matic himself but on all surrounding circumstance. @TheWiz you definitely should seek professional help. This is getting out of control!
-
He is defo faster in real life than he is in FIFA. He reminds me of a bigger Pedro. would not be against if he is cheap but would prefer a left footed winger as we got none.

Rolling in cash is what we are already doing with the Nike deal and TV money. We soon have to find another word for it :DDD

don't know how news- or trustworthy this is but according to more and more Italien sources the deal is off http://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato/25-06-2017/mercato-juve-cosa-manca-2001243077860.shtml I hope it is BS

OHHHH please! Be assured I am so looking forward to hearing again about his nonchalant lobs and his ability to skip past my granny and her 3 dogs in just 2.3 leapyears and him being the cornerstone of the famous Austrian cathedral St. Yoursodeludeditsnotevenfunnyanymore.
-
But he is so versatile. He can play LB, LWB, DM and CB. 20m would represent a very good return on investment given we paid like 6m for him. Probably too much to turn down if all he would do here is to make up the numbers.
-
Do we even need a new CM? if we continue with 3-4-3 we we should be fine if we keep Baker and RLC in the squad.
