Commendable attitude. I never doubted his professionalism and he is a popular guy. He can help the squad just not on the pitchcos without any injuries he is hopefully not gonna play. Additionally to being the 5th CB he can also play RB. Maybe if one of Azpi/RJ is injured and the other has to cover for another position he can be shoehorned in that RB spot. He has the athleticism for it and i have seen him hit decent crosses before.not a good dribbler tho

It’s incredibly favourable for the bit 6 and would make English teams more competitive in Europe while remaining healthy domestic competition but it basically recreates aristocracy in footy , a two classes system PL is so attractive bc all teams are strong anything can happen. The new rules would not eradicate that but certainly set a trend to a more la Liga way . cutting the league to 18 teams and removing the tin pot cups has my full support tho

Played lone striker yesterday and probably had one of his better by the reports. Good goal and assist. I really hope we try him out there again and Hasenhüttl tries his crazy high line again
-
Pls no. He has 3 years left ffs. Handing an almost 30yo limited, slow, nonphysical player a big new contract on the back of a rare purple latch would be repeating the Alonso mistake all over again.
-
Tbf he is. I where near forgotten. He just reminded us of his deficiencies a week ago. The reason this tackle looks so spectacular is bc he failed to stay in line with the striker or at least at his shoulder, same mistake as vs Lamela. You have to credit him that he marked the run at all and stayed on the correct side tho.

Reaction a bit ott. Rudi failed to clear a very soft lob on the goalline bc of poor timing in the jump

It’s still super early so we can not really be sure if the season will be as Crazy as the first few games suggest . For sure teams with less midweek commitments will have a massive advantage amidst the frantic schedule. Usually it takes more than 86 points to win the title and the Last 3 seasons were more of an exception so I can definitely see a bit more tension at the tipsy but pool have a huge advantage in how they are riding the wave cheered on by media and fA and also they can grind teams down in games that are on the edge better than any other team in the league currently.

Worse. It is a recurring injury which means there is a chance he will never get rid of it. but alonso and Emerson are fine as back ups I guess -.-
-
lucky deflection but at least he saw the chacne given by Mignolets terrible positioning. arguably englands biggest win in the open era too lol
-
Charly Musonda could become a pleasant surprise for Frank Lampard
Magic Lamps replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Great to hear he has physically recovered. wish the lad every luck in the world but i fear injuries have wrecked him too much to have a future at Chelsea. Have to applaud his attitude that he made the best of his lay-offs and bulked up a bit albeit gym closeups and favourable lighting can make anyone look big. -
He's gonna sign an extension. from inter milan to moscow what a descent. hopefully we get at least a decent fee and can get alonso or emerson off to some bonkers russian club or so as well
-
From all the offense players we signed I have looked forward to him the most bc of the instant impact I expected from him. The I jury came at a terrible time but at least he has trained with the team for some weeks. Last season we struggled with the quality of our the final/key pass to unlock defenses as well as of set piece delivery . He is arguably one of the best fixes in world football here. I really hope he stays healthy for the rest of this torrid intl break
-
Out for the Belgium game apparently
-
it is a matter of timing. if we score first, we should be fine but if we concede from two shots in the first 10mins or so, they will just park the bus and not even our attack can turn this around. It is always a gamble with Kepa, always. Thining this is fine or the defence is at fault has got us into this situation. when the defence does nto trust the keeper, it is nervous and can not even allow shots from distance thus leaving space in behind and inviting pressure.
-
mendy out could already cost us the points. If we concede one clean shot at kepa without having scored first we will most likely go beind and from there it will be an uphill battle . Remeber one in two shots at Kepa is a goal. there are no guarantees with such a keeper.
-
An intl break never comes at a good time. I rather have it after a win than after a loss but Damn this one has already been shit. I just hate intl footy and want it to get abolished. woth Mendy probably out I feel a lot less confident now that we can pull off a result. Ings will have a field day with Kepa
-
You gotta be kidding me. Omfg two games in and out only useful goalie gets injured hours after the transfer window closes. Shoot me now
-
Not gonna watch any of this shit. Just hope everyone stays fit and healthy and this darn international break is negotiating without any more damage than already caused by its existence.
-
Perfect timing. lets hope it is nothing serious but still takes him out of the Germany squad for the whole international break for the sake of precaution.
-
I agree it probably gets the best out of our best players and clears up the midfield dilemma with there being more than enough cover for the front three, esp as lampard sees Mount as slotting in seamlessly in any of the 5 wing position. The problem is that Kante and Kovacic does not really work bc Kovacic is not a sitting midfielder, i.e. both are too similar in temrs of movement patterns and having no back up means Kante will be run in the ground without backup. I am also not sure yet whether Billy G can play in a midfield 2. A physical ball-playing DM is probably what the is still missing to complete the ultimate FL team.

It’s his wife. She is a bit older and has evidently a lot of power over him. I met the two of them in Dusseldorf in an Apple store some time ago. I chatted him up, His wife walked right past me without looking up and while he obliged to take a snap and a bit of smalltalk he got out of his way to join up with her again in quite a rush. Hardly got his teeth apart when talking as well. Rather dull and awkward guy this Götze fella. Has his place on football history tho. The reason for his failed club career however is that he has a rare metabolic condition which made him gain weight despite his hard work and thus made him redundant at Bayern. Never got back to top level.

Just great we now have 5 cbs, 7 cms and 4bs in the squad till January. Heck we even have victor Moses and can Ginkel back. I mean it was always a bit of a struggle to get rid of all the dregs this window but the Board was really cooperative offering loans while paying half the wages and shit. The market really screwed us. But what screwed us even more is our contract and player retention policy of recent years.
-
Based on what he had done before. No one knew what was going to happen in the future. It was needless still . The club should have used their improved negotiation position and got him to sign on lower terms
-
I presume they expected him to kick on, but that extremely questionable friendly really messed him up. He Was offered and signed the extension after said friendly.
-
He is leaving in installments. We won’t find a buyer for him given his wages. No idea how the board can be so stupid to give players such big contracts completely needlessly
