Jorginho and Havertz make us click. Timo can finish anything. Pulisic still a bit rusty. I don’t blame Mount. His position does not exist in this system. But you can see this massive gulf in quality between him and the rest of the front 4 with all his attitude and hard work he will never be able to make up what he lacks in talent

We would be so so good if those int breaks would t fuck our rhythm every time with those freak injuries
-
Now imagine Adding Zuyech to that attack in place of Mount
-
Southampton are in top Form and are a worthy opposition. aC and Kante are not really up to speed today. Mount appears to not really be necessary in an otherwise finely tuned offense. Could use a more technical and efficient player in his position. Someone with a better touch would have scored there. Pulsing is obviously on the wrong side but it is clearly a tactical ploy. He will switch to the left later
-
Mount is more or less invisible. Christensen and him look poor the rest been alright so far
-
We look ridiculously electric and fluid in attack
-
5 English players is testament to how the youth development has improved around here
-
Thiago Silva still playing for NT at 36 is nuts. Apparently started both mathes too. Really should have retired after the 2019 title, which is most likely the last title he will win with Brazil.
-
Good point. If they would ask the club to sell them we would probably lower the price. The club has never kept unhappy players. The problem is probably more that the players are unwilling to cut their wages to facilitate a move. I doubt lower level clubs would say no to an experienced, title-winning player like Moses or Drinkie if they could agree reasonable wages. The club surely would not stand in their way

What a pair of wingers we have there. One super young with pace, dribbling and finishing killer instinct, one more experienced with flair, creativity, vision and passing range. Both incredibly skilfull and with a thunderous shot in them. Can't actively remember an other pair of inverted wingers with this particular combination of attributes in top level football. Do not expect them to click right away but once they do it should be a sight to behold

we know how it goes. one fkin international break to wreck a whole season. loving it. just should pay players more to abstain themselves from int duty altogether.
-
Commendable attitude. I never doubted his professionalism and he is a popular guy. He can help the squad just not on the pitchcos without any injuries he is hopefully not gonna play. Additionally to being the 5th CB he can also play RB. Maybe if one of Azpi/RJ is injured and the other has to cover for another position he can be shoehorned in that RB spot. He has the athleticism for it and i have seen him hit decent crosses before.not a good dribbler tho

It’s incredibly favourable for the bit 6 and would make English teams more competitive in Europe while remaining healthy domestic competition but it basically recreates aristocracy in footy , a two classes system PL is so attractive bc all teams are strong anything can happen. The new rules would not eradicate that but certainly set a trend to a more la Liga way . cutting the league to 18 teams and removing the tin pot cups has my full support tho
-
Played lone striker yesterday and probably had one of his better by the reports. Good goal and assist. I really hope we try him out there again and Hasenhüttl tries his crazy high line again
-
Pls no. He has 3 years left ffs. Handing an almost 30yo limited, slow, nonphysical player a big new contract on the back of a rare purple latch would be repeating the Alonso mistake all over again.
-
Tbf he is. I where near forgotten. He just reminded us of his deficiencies a week ago. The reason this tackle looks so spectacular is bc he failed to stay in line with the striker or at least at his shoulder, same mistake as vs Lamela. You have to credit him that he marked the run at all and stayed on the correct side tho.
-
Reaction a bit ott. Rudi failed to clear a very soft lob on the goalline bc of poor timing in the jump
-
It’s still super early so we can not really be sure if the season will be as Crazy as the first few games suggest . For sure teams with less midweek commitments will have a massive advantage amidst the frantic schedule. Usually it takes more than 86 points to win the title and the Last 3 seasons were more of an exception so I can definitely see a bit more tension at the tipsy but pool have a huge advantage in how they are riding the wave cheered on by media and fA and also they can grind teams down in games that are on the edge better than any other team in the league currently.
-
Worse. It is a recurring injury which means there is a chance he will never get rid of it. but alonso and Emerson are fine as back ups I guess -.-
-
lucky deflection but at least he saw the chacne given by Mignolets terrible positioning. arguably englands biggest win in the open era too lol
-
Charly Musonda could become a pleasant surprise for Frank Lampard
Magic Lamps replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Great to hear he has physically recovered. wish the lad every luck in the world but i fear injuries have wrecked him too much to have a future at Chelsea. Have to applaud his attitude that he made the best of his lay-offs and bulked up a bit albeit gym closeups and favourable lighting can make anyone look big. -
He's gonna sign an extension. from inter milan to moscow what a descent. hopefully we get at least a decent fee and can get alonso or emerson off to some bonkers russian club or so as well
-
From all the offense players we signed I have looked forward to him the most bc of the instant impact I expected from him. The I jury came at a terrible time but at least he has trained with the team for some weeks. Last season we struggled with the quality of our the final/key pass to unlock defenses as well as of set piece delivery . He is arguably one of the best fixes in world football here. I really hope he stays healthy for the rest of this torrid intl break
-
Out for the Belgium game apparently
-
it is a matter of timing. if we score first, we should be fine but if we concede from two shots in the first 10mins or so, they will just park the bus and not even our attack can turn this around. It is always a gamble with Kepa, always. Thining this is fine or the defence is at fault has got us into this situation. when the defence does nto trust the keeper, it is nervous and can not even allow shots from distance thus leaving space in behind and inviting pressure.
