Terrible performance. We will be lucky to escape with a point here fk international football
-
Not sure either. Their lineup looks like they will park an aircraft carrier so both Giroud and Havertz would work better in tight spaces.
-
Weird team. Do not like Alonso but makes sense as Chilly played last game for England. Werner prolly given the chance to redeem himself. havertz started for Germany as well so is rested
-
Jorginho and Gilmour would be suicide. Both are too similar. Weak midfield begging to be overrun. Rather have RJ fill in there
-
Yup. I highly doubt Agüero wants to come here. He has often said how he hates England and the weather. For sure he will go to Spain.

It’s true he made it difficult for himself not realising the amount of time and space he got and rushed it with his left foot. But I am not sure he should have stopped and taken with his right. Still he should score that one blind folded. I was never a very talented player but I used to train that exact movement with my bro. A simple pass or one two coming from the left side while moving at pace and what I remember is that any kind of proper contact would do even with your shin or ankle. so just be aware of your surroundings, position your body towards the ball not across it as Werner does and just swing at it. It must be deeply psychological. it appears that the universe does not want him to score or that he wants to avoid it. The one vs Leeds where he shins it onto the bar still will remain the worst IMO but his miss compilations remain rich. Even on form he has always used to miss easy chances but would go on and score a goal the same match . Now we are seeing him getting fewer yet easier chances and really expertly missing them all. There is something deeply wrong with his head

We will play a different approach next season. Tuchel right now has the safety first approach bc he has to get us over the line in the league and still has 2 cups to play for. So conceding the least goals is our best chance to still make this a successful season. Next season he has a fresh start and will for sure play a quicker, more incisive appraoch to make us outscore teams and challenge for the league title. It may appear a bit counterintuitive right now, but TT is actually a very attack-minded coach. His Dortmund side was electric. Surely he can give us more attacking impetus in time if he wishes buttime will tell

That is disgusting and unsportsmanlike. They will get absolutely thrashed for this in the return leg.
-
Yeah but this will affect the scheduling of the club season. The time afforded to the WC in November will be deducted from preseason in summer.
-
Now that is a new swing but not even Haaland can save Barcelona from the abyss. If he goes there as opposed to Shitty or ManUre it is a huge bullet dodged for us.
-
would not be the worst for him. Does not need to worry about club structures or new signings being imposed for him and has a vast pool of talent to pick from. I still think there is a very good coach in him. His judgement of players and overall strategic vision was spot on in my opinion he just could not implement it tactically. Maybe if given time and players who are still young and unbiased he will have it easier.

Last year no preseason bc of Corona, this year bc of Euros, next yet bc of WC. If we really expect preseason to make a big difference we arelost for the next few years anyway

This shit still needs to be regulated. Agents are contributing fuck all and yet the selected few that broker most deals are almost as well paid as the players. It is a disgrace. In any other business middle men are regulated and have clear and transparent fee structures. Like any market, the transfer market would grealy profit from the absence of friction. Fifa/uefa or whatever authority need to impose rules here asap. But I guess they are too fixated on their own share of the spoils to care.

Yup. Pace+reading of space and making runs are his main strength. He makes a lot of good runs that go unnoticed or are not found by the poor passers in the team and their bad executiion/decision making. So if we would play more to his strengths he would get more chacnes for sure. Still his finishing has never been elite, more like that of an average Bundesliga striker. So even if he would get more chances he would still go on and miss most of them. confidence will always be an issue for him.

Dropping Werner for a while could actually help our creativity. at least havertz and ziyech are in form again. Add Pulisic or Mount to that and we are fairly fluent. God, I miss proper footy. Saturday can not come soon enough. International football is a cancer for us all but most of all for Timo Werner lol
-
that miss was terrible but I think the one vs leeds where he literally hit the bar from 1m is worse. He has more open goal misses now than goals in the same period now.... no idea what is wrong with his head but he always used to have these barren patches. Not this barren tho and you would think he had matured....

No, they will get the winner of the Bayern München/Rosengard tie. Either way it will arguably not as hard a test as Wolfsburg. I am not much into women's footy but this Chelsea ladies side is the quickest, most cohesive and clinical women's team I have seen so far. Every time I see them they just look so much sharper than the opposition.

Being vocal was never Rüdiger's problem so this is nothing new. Also his athleticism and ability on the ball has never been in question. The key will be whether he can persistently cut out the stupid mistakes that have scarred his whole career. In his first professional games he conceded a penalty and got a red card. When he came back from suspension he scored an own goal. Therefore it is no coincidence, he is also the player with most own goals since he joined us. Albeit he has markedly improved under Tuchel but there is never a guarantee he will stay faultless for long.

Unpopular opinion but Oscar was by far the superior talent. His technique was more polished than Mount's. Also Oscar was more creative and capable of extraordinary goals. Still what he lacked was Mount's consistency, hunger and leadership. That is why Mount will probably become a captain and legend for Chelsea while only the more meticulous Blues fans will remember Oscar in 30 years.

No. Goal line technology was brought to life after Lampard's leveller vs Germany in WC 2010 was not given despite crossing the line by a yard.

I know there is no consistency but how does it help Norway football federations business interests ? I think there is some moral reasoning behind it even though it is just a meek beginning, it is a beginning. What is Norwegian football federation supposed to do about the uighurs tho? They have not played China or had any cooperations with them since the story broke about Russia, sure it is a dictatorship but the wc itself did not involve human rights violations to the same extent as Qatar. Everyone has to pick their battles
-
Love that. Every country should make a stand here. WC in Qatar began with corruption, continues with bloodshed.
-
There is a bit of a feedback lag so UEFA/Fifa might not realize they are driving the whole circus onto a wall. Most of the football fans I know here in Germany have long stopped watching games of our DFB-team outside big tournaments. I will also not watch the WC in Qatar and will motivate others to stop doing so. Once the networks notice fewer ppl are watching they will bid less. sadly not much less as most nt games are televised by public networks who are not dependent on commercial sponsor models.

Rather Haaland goes to Spain that City. They already are unstoppable. Add haaland to this and we will never see the end of it. I can see him join City just to spite ManUre for the sake of revenge for his father.
