I actually think he would be even better in caicedos place. Playing caicedo is playing with 10 men at best while RJ can always add something to the game even when not 100%. His dribbling, strength and tackling would be great for Dm and he could even overlap a bit on the right channel to bring in his dangerous crosses.

Still miles better than any manager we had after him. Bayern is notoriously difficult to manage bc of all the toxicity around and he is a difficult character anyway. So not a good match. Still think he is highly competent. In the previous set up we had with Petr Cech and marina where he could concentrate more on coaching I think he was decent. even in that lacklustre season full of injuries we finished a solid 3rd and gave real a run for their money, made those two cup finals etc. We would be nowhere near as low as we are now with him in charge

I agree. I got one without sponsor logo and it is gorgeous. samsung looked nice and is a huge brand so was definitely a good. Yokohama also looked kinda cool on that one kit where both had small white and red details
-
So apart from playing like an absolute passenger at best, caicedo is even causing problems when just collecting his salary. Which is literally all he does when not assisting the opposition

Good post but I disagree on two counts Kane or the false nine question in general is not the reason Bayern are trailing Leverkusen. In fact Bayern have significantly more points and goals than last season at this stage and are guaranteed to finish with way more points overall as well. It’s just Leverkusen who are absurdly good atm. False 9 is a decent outlet when you have high scoring attacking mids or wingers who also can work with tight spaces in the middle like Real but we are the opposite so I think we would profit from a proper no 9, a natural finisher Palmer is clearly a no 10. A born playmaker. He does not have the pace and trickery to be a winger at all but his main strength is his cool head, vision and play making ability .

That’s an oddly specific comparison and I agree it is quite rudimentary but it is not as eyesore as the Three logo we used to have

Good. What’s the latest on Salah?

We will miss silvas presence and experience. Can’t imagine the club without him atm even tho our back line is more mobile and can push higher without him . sterling has been inconsistent af and really frustrating. Given he is our highest earner and was supposed to take responsibility as the main man in attack it is sensible to move him on.

Back when we had a somewhat functional defence we could park the bus and hit them on the break to at least keep the scoreline respectable but now we are unable to keep clean sheet vs the meekest of oppositions so we can forget that. A chaotic game can end up in smth high scoring and narrow like last time or we might get hammered. I see no scenario where we are winning cos we have not been capable of resolute defensive displays while still finishing effectively at the same time

He always made that impression on me. he gives his all and is genuinely proud and happy to play for this club. From his introduction video to the first goal and again yesterday. He is clearly not the most mobile and tactically astute defender but we also need his physical presence. From time to time he has performances where he absolutely dominates the opposition striker, which might infer that there is more to come. I suggest he deserves at least till the end of the season to fully acclimatise to the league.

The exact kind of lacklustre dull uninspired performance everyone expected after the customary one good performance per quarter last week . Esp Jackson and Enzo who celebrated like they had won the wc after their fluke goals back to their usual useless selves. Also caicedo and Madueke expectedly combining to invite the opposition to score
-
Classic Poch to cling onto the lineup that brought one fluke win. He surprised Emery with playing palmer false 9 and nkunku on the left. Won’t happen again. Criminal to sit Nkunku on the bench for this misconception

There is clearly a conditioning issue. Many of our regular starters seem to be somewhat resistant to injuries as they maintain match fitness by playing. but the medical department and physios seem unable to prevent those who have more of a squad role or just recovered form injury to constantly get thrown back by new or reoccurring issues. May also be the case that the team training is not really preparing the players enough physically

That sounds like he has even featured more than the 32mins he has. Instead he has missed 97% of games and 99% of minutes. No idea if he even remembers how to play football once he steps foot on the pitch again early 2026 to pull his hamstring shortly later
-
Amazing game. Xabi Alonso has them perfectly prepared and everything just worked out for them. Beautifully worked goals, clinical finishes, resolute defense Just love it when Bayern is so utterly outclassed
-
Thats selective af tho. Overall he has 4 assists , 0 goals in 20 games. He might still improve but it’s more probable he is just as much of a dud as the rest of our prodigy signings it’s hard to get excited over any youth prospects when we lack nothing more than experience and leadership

Ofc they do but there is a clear lack of humility and discipline in this generation of players. It can be compensated in a stable environment in a club with a clear identity and a competent coaching team. But whenver there is disarray the players motivation tends to blow hot and cold. Same with our national team atm and other clubs in transition. Former player generations were better at concentrating on their game and taking responsibility themselves. anyway a more tactical explanation approach of our sudden performance hike may be that the absence of silva allowed us to push higher up the field and choke villas midfield. Also Jackson and Madueke ran their lungs out. It also seemed that the idea to deploy palmer as false 9 and Jackson on the wing confused villa defenders in the first half. The cbs withdrew expecting deep runs from Nicos which allowed Palmer and Gallagher more space between the lines indirectly resulting in the first goal

Great win, beautiful goals; fans and players can take the moment to enjoy. But we should not get carried away. It looked like we turned a corner so often the past 2 years and the team always regressed afterwards. Honestly it might have to do with attitude. Look at those OTT celebrations. The lads were strutting around like the avengers after those goals. As if they had not got hammered by shit teams and missed tons of easy chances in the process. Esp Enzo and Nic with their cringe grand gestures. They will probably start believing their own hype again instead of keeping their heads down and continuing to work hard
-
What’s shit selection. Palmer is not a winger and either him or Noni will play on the wrong side. One thing is for sure we will waste a ton of chances
-
Flick is similar to Poch in the sense that he is an agreeable people person with limited tactical ability and problems to work with a squad full of entitled brats. but other than Poch he has won it all as assistant coach or manager. He has a knack for details and could bring back operational excellence. the problem is that this group of players is absolutely useless, toxic and incompatible. this side we had on tonight on paper is not world class and still young but it surely is enough to beat wolves and finish top 6. most managers will struggle to make such a heterogeneous group work. A manager who is a proven winner, demands absolute devotion and takes no shit from any player might be able to rein them in but there is no guarantee. Thanks to TB‘s shot gun approach to squad building we might well be stuck with a bunch of lazy hype boys who are here just to collect their fat paycheque for 8 years which ultimately leaves us with an uncoachable squad.
-
Todd might try to sign all that but they will all be 20 years old
-
Isn’t he like their version of Nic Jackson? He also hardly scores but turns in an energetic display every once in a while
-
We have been subpar but it is quite hard to win in any match when the opposition is allowed to hack down your players at will.
-
LOL nkunku has played like 5mins for us and already 2 goals. Won’t matter today nor did it vs wolves but it shows the gulf in quality between him and the rest of our attackers Shame he will be out for 2 months again before he can come back with another cameo goal
-
That is a pen ofc but the one on Gallagher is not. Just ridiculous. Darwin miss is nice but does not matter in the end. Will still end in an embarrassment
