Clearly he is not a bad player. But he is a horrific finisher and sometimes displays a terrible attitude so it is easy to hate on him. He may still mature but atm he is not really the player who maximizes our output given the vast amount of chances this team produces. It is not by chance our best games offensively have come with palmer in a free role, more often than not playing as the furthest upfield. Would be inclined to give Jackson a run as left inside forward, playing palmer false 9 and nkunku just behind him.

Inverted would be him playing on the right I think. It is more like he is playing as some kind of underlapping fullback to give us an extra man in midfield against the ball and in build up play. Indeed this pronounces his two main strengths - short passing and 1 on 1 defending. This however raises the question what has Enzo done all year. Simply pulling conor back and letting cucu drift inside and everyone looks significanlty improved. Btw how conor has not scored a hattrick today is beyond me.

Chalobah has ages left on his contract. As for Conor, what I read was that he had very reasonable contract demands that were rejected by clownlake. Now he has all a very good case demanding more. Either he will be sold or get a bigger contract than initially demanded either case another embarrassing piece of buisness by Clownlake.

It's amazing how suddenly our players are able to play simple passes accurately again. Nothing came of it but that perfectly weighted vertical to Jackson was something i have never seen from madueke before.

Strong westham team. Really not much between those two on paper. We have a bit more technical quality but they have more experience and physicality. How we have fallen that one can look at the teamsheets and not be sure that we are comfortably better. If anything they have underachieved being below us in the table despite our horrific injuries and start to the season I expect them to be quite resolute defensively like they were vs Leverkusen but hopefully their finishing lets them down just as much.

What I like about Noni besides his sublime pace and improving work rate is that he has some attributes out other wingers lack. He is unconventional in his movement, some called it eyesore lol, which makes him less predictable. He is also not afraid to take on the shot and can score from outside the box and from an angle with both feet, with a curling or a straight shot. This has in some instances caused problems to opposition teams whose go-to plan to stop is usually just loading the middle. he still is not anywhere near good enough but there might be a player in there. I remember being more optimistic about him than mudryk when we signed both

But that is a problem many strikers nowadays have. They are asked to do everything. Run the channels, link up play, hold the ball up, and park defensively. Jackson has his uses with his pace and work rate. Ppl like him less than Werner despite being a similar player. But his attitude is often horrific in contrast to humble Timo. Morata was probably more talented than both but all three have recorded some of the worst misses in history. Attitude surely plays a huge role here. anyway, as many on here have said, Jackson is not the problem per se , it is that he is asked to be the main man which he clearly is not capable of being.
