Romeu vs Valencia: Win Balls, Start Attack
diskoviolente replied to CareFreeChronic's topic in Chelsea Articles
the way how André uses Romeu shows that he really does involve new young exciting players into our team. Same goes for Sturridge. Patience is a virtue, or something. I am really impressed by Romeus displays. I hope he stays with us for a long time and doesn´t go back to Barca to rott on the bench. -
of course it sounds redicolous, but i think that we should be more careful in how we think towards our players and club politics. It is not that easy that you just axe a player no matter what. Coaching staff sounds like a reasonable idea, but i think we still could do with him in our squad.

Maybe Paulo plays a much more important role than one might think. He´s been at the club for ages, has been there when we were most succesfull. I think that he is a true servant to Chelsea Football Club, not complaining about not playing anymore but doing well if he is called up. I think that he´s still here to settle all the portugeezers and brazilians in. Sometimes that is more important - helping younger players getting settled and making them feel like having someone to talk to. I think that is worth 80k a week. Better than getting rid off and having distressed new footballers who feel isolated and alone. More respect for the man.

WHS Exclusive - Another Player Leaving
diskoviolente replied to We Hate Scouse's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
love him for his winner against spurs. was always an impact sub. he did what studge couldn ´t do for 90 mins ( no disrespect either) - beating Krul, even with a massive deflection. I don´t know, i don´t hate him, afterall he´s a Chelsea player and scored some fucking important goals for us. Fair play to him joining another side, more playing time in another league maybe helps him developing his skills. -
Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
diskoviolente replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
reading about AVB in the media it seems like they want him to get the sack. I hope he just hangs on just to prove everbody, especcially, the media wrong. -
On second thought I don´t really know who´s to blame. For once, getting outsung at home by a bunch of london based liverpool fans is one thing. Why Lampard ? Thought he might get some rest, could´ve played Mereiles. Some of our players just don´t cut it anymore. It is about time to say goodbye to Malouda. Anelka with a half decent chance only positive from him. See you later. Positives: Romeu, Luiz, Bertrand and Turnbull for a bit had a good game i think. Fuck Off Carroll and the ref. Pathetic bunch of cheating morons.
-
i feel physicly sick. if we lose this i just gonna bury my head under the pillows, hoping to not throw up. we´ve played well, not enough chances though. good play from Romeu, Bertrand and Mata again. Fuck off, Carrolllllll
-
that red card costs me dearly in my fantasy football thingy. i don´t know, he´s certainly more entertaining than an Alan Shearer or somebody like that. Interresting hair do today. Corn field UFO attack.

Ramires was vital to our win yesterday. Can´t believe the amount of criticism he gets. He made some very important tackles and broke down their play, dropped back and cleard a ball when Cech was beaten. I don´t know, why are people expecting football to be a game where there are 22 players on the pitch and Chelsea always trash their opponents. I think that Blackburn are a tough team to beat. I was very relieved when they had to replace Samba, he really caused us trouble (ffs he is a big lad). On a side note I thought that this plane they had flying over the stadium is one of the worst things i´ve ever seen. Not the most convincing match but we did it.

i can unbite my lip now and come out of my hoodie. too intense, but scrappy win, clean sheet, three points. thank fuck for that

Lamps looks a bit off the pace. Defence is solid, just need a bit more patience in front of goal. Good display by Danny.
-
No Luiz ? Not even on the bench ? Danny as CF, fantastic choice. Maybe he is registered on TalkChelsea ?

i copy and paste that into my profile, mate. one of the best postings i´ve read in a while concerning AVB. -
Hey folks, i want to get a little discussion going, about the general reasons why everyone is such a football fanatic. I thought about this after the recent results and all the misery and emotional pain watching football is getting us into every now and then (with Chelsea too often sometimes, i think). What are the reasons everybody is keeping on doing what we are doing. Being a fan, being commited, talking ourselves out of the "bad patch" the club is having, so on and so forth. Speaking personaly, football for me is a substitute for something else in my life, like a spiritual side. I am not religious or a strong believer, i doubt a lot of stuff society is offering, i am a very critical person - but not when it comes to the old kickball. For me, it is more than a hobby or something, it is not a religion either, but close to that. I mean how´s it possible that loads of us sitting around the world, getting up at crazy times in the night just to watch the game on rocky streams ? Another reason is that football is helping me with personal issues i have. Watching and playing footie is something that has a massive impact on my personal life and helps me getting along with some bullshit things in my life. It is not like thinking "yes, it is an interessting scenario and i am approaching the whole thing from a more academic point of view" but being like a complete emotional explosive sometimes. i´d like to hear your thoughts about this. i am interessted

do we have any opertunities to keep him at Chelsea if Barca want to trigger the buy back clause ? can anyone give me a summery on the situation. I really don´t want to lose him anytime soon. And certainly not when he is a regular first team player (like Fabregas)

Since February with and without David Luiz - the facts
diskoviolente replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i was wondering why Luiz wasn´t playing against Arsenal. More then capable of tracking the runs of their 8 year olds. -
i don´t think that´s a fair and balanced analysis. This what one expect after a game like this but not a good piece of journalism.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
diskoviolente replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
it was a gamble to appoint AVB. I thought and still do that it was a very good descision. But he´s young and needs to shape is style and skills as a manager. It is worth giving him some time. -
Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

...and this was a game made for someone like Essien. He is exactly the player we are missing (well, the "old" Essien, you know which one). Stabilising in midfield and urging forward when in possesion. I just hope that he comes back strong and adds to our team. It is a shame what happened to him. Hopefully he doesn´t turn into another Hargreaves. For fuck sake guys. I tell you what, the abuse from my Arsenal mates is one thing, but it defniatly hurts losing that way to a shit club like that. -
that was about to come soon. questioning AVBs abilities, saying the "old" Chelsea was better. We lost to Arsenal 3:1 last season and were lucky to beat them at Stamford Bridge. AVB is doing the right thing in changing Chelseas style towards a more positive and attacking side. A much needed transitional period. I was sick of this slow and ineffective Chelsea side from last season. Our backline and defensive mid just doesn´t have the players yet to play that style.
-
true that. there certainly are changes to come in the near future considering our back four. at least i hope so. i don´t know yet it that means new players or if we gonna stop playing that high line but then we need a player like Modric who has to link up between the back four and the attackers and initiate counter attacks.
-
What do you guys think about the John Terry Situation ? I am not referring to his slippery there but about his general perfomance. To me it looks as he hasn´t got the pace anymore to catch up with players like Van Persie (who had an amazing game and hopefully be injured after an Arsenal 4 - Bolton 5-match) and so on and so forth. We have to start making plans withoug Terry soon i am afraid to say. About the game itself: arsenal deserved to win this although i think that at 3:3 we had a bit of momentum to nick it. Arsenal played really well, pushed us back and exploited our high defensive line. i think that none our players particulary had a bad game. AVB still has to adapt and learn about this league. I do think that he´s the right man for the job because taking action and consequences towards our way of playing. Crazy scorelines this season though. At 2:2 i thought that this must´ve been the first time in 5 years.
-
Wow, two wins over Everton already. My season is over here, the rest is just add-ons and bonus. I am so happy we won this, unbelieveable. With all the odds against Chelsea they pulled it off, Danny is gonna become a Chelsea Legend, if he not already is.
-
Now ? My heart is pumping here since the second half. Listening to football on the radio is even more nerve wrecking.
