Completely agree, neither are defensive enough, we need an anchor like Mikel to settle the play.

One thing that annoyed me yesterday was that FSW started him on the right, Marin is much better on the left where he can cut inside which he showed at the beginning of the second half.

One game wouldn't change his mind, if anything it may have made him think that Chelsea really need him.

I don't mind when it's announced as long as he is able to play against Southampton on Saturday

And to add to what you were saying about price, we got Azpi for a very good deal but I seem to remember Lille were going to make us pay more due to the fact we are Chelsea and it was just after his great Euro performances. We needed a RB then and he wasn't really a good deal at that moment in time.

Players looked like they didn't give a shit tonight, players like Branna and Luiz taking needless shots and stupid passes as if this was a friendly on FIFA. The team played as if they thought they had already won, no urgency, no runs, nothing. A truly horrible performance

Looked really up for it in the first few minutes, sadly his bad tackle scared him and he just seemed to switch off from then on wards apart from the beginning of the second half where he did well :/

This is just painful to watch, I've had more enjoyment revising than watching this performance :/

I disagree, better to get the players least likely to stay out of the way so you don't have to have a month of them later in the year knowing they are playing for another team

Aston Villa were looking good and on the rise until we came along. Recent form before matches doesn't mean guaranteed results, each match should be taken as a single event and not a continuation from the previous one

Chelsea never announce anything quickly, even the starting line up on twitter... If we are getting him for the price mentioned and his wages aren't around 100K, then I have no problems with this transfer. Good proven all round player purchased on the cheap, knee doesn't concern me hugely since we have very good medical staff. One problem I have with transfers from the BPL is how much their association with their former clubs will affect them, sometimes they just never really come to terms with the fact they are playing for a different team because they loved the previous one but this isn't often the case.

Powerful, strong, tough exterior and has ability with back to goal and in behind. Despite exterior, is able technically and is deceptively skillful. Can finish too. Negatives: lacks intelligence, slow-ish. As for feasibility of rumour. Sevilla need to sell, he's most saleable asset with Navas. Negredo would be up for move IMO.
