I think the boys will be ready for this one. Lets not forget the only reason we lost to them up there last year was from a set piece and Lampard penalty miss... If Ivanovic can shut down Silva and Essien and Terry can put Tevez in there pocket then i think we will win this..

Im pretty bummed because we won't get to watch more of the young lads running around amongst some of the big name players.. I find the Carling Cup to be a decent competition to showcase your youngsters and to bow out early at home against a newly promoted side is quite worrying.. I think a few more rounds would have suited me better..

That's true. Although i think Carlo is resting him. Lampard looked very tired in the game vs Stoke. Not just Physically, but mentally too.. I have had a hernia op and i was back at work two days later. And I'm a Concretor...

I wouldn't get too excited. If we don't score early i can see this one getting pretty nervy. Blackpool will come out to defend and try catch us on the counter which they are pretty decent at doing..

I don't think the team is well enough equipped to win the CL. Sure we have a good team, but when you compare it to the likes of Barcelona, we really have work to do. We lack the Depth of most teams in a sense that if we get 2-3 injuries to key players, we are screwed. We need a specialist attacking right back who can dominate in the air as well as on the ground.. I also feel that we don't yet have a Plan B.. i think every great team needs a differant formula/formation when they are playing a team that is very hard to break down.. Although, the game is at Wembley so if we do make it, i would be much more confident of success..

I enjoyed watching him as i do with all new chelsea players. I have to admit though, I found it hard at times to tell the differace between him, Kakuta,Essien and Kalou... Maybe my eyes are farked...

I feel sorry for Yury. He is a good talent but he has come to Chelsea at the wrong time. . Malouda and Cole are too good to replace and unfortunatley i can only see Yury getting a run in League cup games and FA Cup..

I'm more confident about this game then i was about Stoke.. Besides Parker's "hail mary" strike last time, they had nothing.. Now the boys are rested, hungry and raring to go! I would definetly look at putting The ex West Ham boy Benayoun on for a good 25 mins along with Ramires for around 20. I would think Mikel would be given a rest after 60-70 mins after international duty in which he had a long travel schedule and would probably be jet-lagged..
