Worth 8 mil, and can do a job for us, anything more than that then i think he is a bit expensive for someone who is likely to be a useful squad player...
-
He is a good player imo, one of the best wigan have... I highly doubt would be a starter and would be used more as an impact sub at RW, and a third striker if something happens to torres or sturridge... Can't see him ever starting over Mata, Oscar or Hazard, unless it is like the carling cup or something, but would be a useful player imo, and definately better than ramires at RW....

Congrats typing supremo...
-
I think we will have Mata left Hazard right oscar middle then Lamps and mikel behind... Lamps won't need to venture forward as much as we have a lot of attacking threat ahead of him so lots of the holes that opened up should hopefully be closed... What could change that is if someone like hulk were to sign then Oscar would get pushed back and Lampard may miss out, with hazard in the middle and Mata on the left...
-
Yeah i know but i am saying to expect big name signings every time is a bit unrealistic, i know he said we will probably get one or two more players...
-
But lampard has been better than all our other midfielders that play similar roles... I highly doubt its an either or deal... I personally think both will be regulars and Lampard will probably be able to help oscar adjust to the prem... I too can't wait to see Oscar play for us, he will have a big role to play and i am pretty sure he will be a starter, as his passing and quality on the ball is something we need...
-
Tbh, i don't think we can blame the board considering we have brought in a lot of great signings full of young talent, we can't keep asking for more big name sigings in every position thats not going great... It would be nice to have that but i think it is an unrealistic expectation...

Torres is widely considered the number 1 because of how high profile he is etc... In actual fact he isn't the undisputed number 1, i would still have him over Sturridge atm, but it doesn't mean he always has it. If Lewandowski or someone of his calibre was to come then he would be a serious contender for it...
-
Yeah thats what i meant, obviously he would go through a much more precise procedure as you said with Fat %'s and Muscle %'s etc... But anyway, if Hulk comes then he will be a powerful force on that RW...
-
What i am saying is just the old standard bmi, Height to weight will show him as overweight because muscle weighs more than fat, and he has a lot of muscle and isn't particularly tall at 5ft 11... BMI, is just a general measurement, i am not actually saying he is overwieght, he is a supreme athlete who definately has too much muscle for a footballer in todays sport where physicality gets penalised more than it does previously... FOR EXAMPLE: if you put hulks height and weight... Just average, they are probably not exact but just for example purposes his bmi is 27.96 which is classed as overweight as anything over 25 is classed that way.... Again i am not saying he is but how flawed a standard old bmi test is which would class him as overweight which he is not...
-
Hulk is probably overwieght if you took his bmi or something but only due to sheer muscle... He will not end up like ronaldo... Ronaldo was never that hench.... I don't think he will have a problem with his weight long into when he is retired...

I agree with most here, would love to see micah richards here, he was my first choice for england, but hodgson went for the shitty liverpool players... Definately a great defender, and being english a back 4 of COLE TERRY CAHILL RICHARDS would be pretty good...
-
Confidence is something that this team needs, so thats sounds good to me...
-
With Lukaku most likely going on loan we definately need another striker, i agree it doesn't have to be some superstar... like lewandowski, but he will be expensive.... We have been heavily linked with moses who isn't a bad shout... would have liked BA but apparently he can't be bought for 7 mil any more.... And i am always up for having a big ivorian up top...

We are definately lacking creativity, though our most creative player (Mata) has been missing, what appears to be a great player (Oscar) also hasn't arrived, and Hazard and Marin have only once played together... Marin has always provided something when he plays, and if he can be fit then i really hope he will start alongside Hazard and hopefully Mata and then that will be the most creative (ON PAPER), we will have been for a long time... If we play those 3 and struggle to show something against City then i will be worried... I am not expecting them to smash city or any other nonsense, as the season hasn't started yet, and the Wigan game is far more important imo, but if we can show, quicker build up play, people actually performing thier assignments and some supply getting to torres then that would be good enough for the moment. Imo the preparation for the season is more important than the actual game, so i don't want to see us going completely negative in a trying to hold on to win strategy, because A. it might not work, and B. because this is the last game of which to prepare for the season. So trying to remain solid at the back without being too defensive is key... If we lose we lose, its community shield it won't bother me too much, but if we struggle to compete then i will be bothered.... I personally don't think we will struggle and will be plesently surprised with our performance, and the difference between yesterdays game and a harder game vs city... Though only time will tell...
-
Yep, he is definately the go to man in the build up play... Great player...
-
He is working on commision...
-
Agree, i really want to see him play, but in many ways will be quite happy to see him subbed...
-
They said before the game he had a slight knock, so i assume there is nothing that much to worry about, and they didn't see the point in risking him which is fair enough...
-
What is clear imo, is the people saying that Oscar is new to the prem so won't be a starter for a while could be proven wrong... If there's one thing that stands out is the amount of mistakes that have occurred when we have the ball, and someone who has great control, can pick a pass and move the team forward is extremely useful... Not saying he is iniesta or something already and he may not even have an amazing 1st season, but he will be a crucial part of this midfield imo.

He was injured...
-
our players stopped playing...
-
David Luiz time...
-
With Oscar and Mata in the team i highly doubt we will play a 4-3-3... 4-2-3-1 most likely as you said 4-3-3 will just be plan B.
