  1. I doubt Sturridge would be played out wide if cavani comes... I think Sturridge would sit on the bench for 50 games this season if he comes... And he would be unlikely to come on as a striker as Torres would be ahead of him in the sub list, so would be limited to coming on as a sub as a winger imo.
  2. I would be happy to do a money plus Raul deal... Lampard the weak link in the squad.... :lol2: ... I know you said many fans and not you specifically but that whole theory is just incredible (and he is 34)... I think he is 4th choice for a position where there is only one spot which is why he would go for definate.... I.E: AT CAM: Hazard, mata oscar lampard ramires all ahead of him... Thats 5... IN THE DOUBLE PIVOT: Mikel, Romeu, Essien, Ramires, Lampard are also ahead of him imo... For me i haven't been a huge fan of this transfer but if its 25 mil plus raul for cavani then i can definately get behind it.
  3. Good vid, but i am so glad i am not italian and have to listen to thier commentary team screaming like demented children.... At 2:57, its sounds like someone just violently killed Chewbacca from star wars.
  4. Never gonna start with benayoun i doubt... If we don't include Mata then I would rather see Hazard Ramires (Pick a midfielder, Lucky dip) OR Malouda Ramires Hazard... But i think and hope mata will start in which case the lineup would hopefully be a 4-2-3-1 the same as everyone else has listed... Not a fan of ramires at RW as many are aware however without Oscar and Sturridge etc we have a lack of options there... Only difference i would make to the general list of... CECH IVAN LUIZ TERRY COLE MIKEL LAMPARD RAMIRES HAZARD MATA TORRES is that i would probably go with Cahill over david luiz... Just think IMO that ivan cahill terry cole is much more solid and being it is against City i think that would be the better way to go...
  5. I am not bothered about where the players come from... Ideally if they are homegrown it is slightly better but it doesn't bother me... And obviously we would rather win things... It is nice for players to go through the academy and then play for the first team, but it makes little difference to me... I.E. Lampard came through West hams youth system yet he is still the biggest legend this club has ever had and still has... (i better add IMO to that)...
  6. Tbh i also know very little of him... Why is Azpi cup tied? i thought because he played in the europa league he can still play in the PL, assuming thats the cup your talking about and i am not missing something...
  7. Great website, i was thinking about having a t-shirt with the starting 11 on lol... Though i was messing about on it, and saved my design and it said i couldn't have the text "torres" due to legal and ethical grounds... Clearly the webiste has a doesn't like Fernando...
  8. Looks like a good sign that he could be on the way out...
  9. In a way it doesn't really matter, as if we buy a high profile striker (I.E. Lewandowski or cavani), then they start over torres, and if not torres is our number one and we have to get behind him... I think this is his best chance of finding form as with a supply line of mata, oscar, and hazard, we should be creating a lot of oppertunities for him.... Can't wait to get everyone back and start the season properly and then we will get a clearer idea of our team and how torres is doing...
  10. if this is true then its great news, to have a rb who is quality and young is good... I don't expect much first season, but having ivan there should be good for him, as it means he should get some game time and in a couple of seasons will hopefully be able to establish himself as our rb... Though after what has been said about Hulk deal being done which wasn't; the oscar deal that was off, and then was, i will wait for a bit more evidence before believing it...
  11. Exactly, if he plays CAM then he has the freedom to fill in and provide some width if hazard and mata go inside, or drop back if need be as well as linking up with torres or whoever is in front of him.... Him playing in the doubke picot gives him too many restrictions, and i don't really wan't to see him not being able to dictate play because of the possible spaces he could leave behind him, which lampard has been heavily criticised for in pre season.
  12. The biggest priority whilst our new team overhaul is being established and learning to play with each other is to ensure we get top 4... Without it we will face what would have happened this year in unable to sign high profile players and less money etc, and once you are out of it it is even harder to get back in... So unless we were to win the champions league (again ), If we don't get top 4 then the season will be extremely bad no matter how many other cups we win... Though i am feeling optimistic that we can be in a very good top 4 position by march next year and have a good run at the fa cup and champions league...
  13. Yep, its always just good fun, until you transfer someone out and then in the next game they score a hattrick... Then
  14. Player prices fluctuate throughout the season and they can change every gameweek... If in your example the player went up a million, they take a percentage or the extra, so you would probably get 7.7 million for him... If however he drops in price you get the price he is currently at and the dream team people don't take a cut of it, so it doesn't have to stay at 100 million. Prices won't change that much week to week though, you can make a fair bit of profit if you get someone quite cheap and they suddenly do well... For example last season Scott Sinclair's value rose a lot. Stats are a good place to start... Also sort players by minutes played, assists etc.... Familirise yourself with what scores points and what doesn't... Classic example is someone like YAYA TOURE, he is a great player however doesn't score as many points as some players who are worse than him because they play a bit further up the pitch. They release a scouting report every week about who is doing well etc... My advice on that is keep up to track on who starts and who doesn't and go from there... .
  15. Yeah i think i'll wait for the season to start then the prices will drop for them, and then buy the away kit for like 30 quid...
  16. Had my home kit for a month or two now... Love the home kit lke most people... Debating about whether to buy the away kit, with Oscar or hazard on it... Got my normal lampard 8 on the home shirt like i have had for many years...
  17. Cech Ivan Cahill Terry Cole Lampard Mikel Hazard Mata Marin Torres Wouldn't mind resting Mata, but as its our last game before the season starts properly i would like to see hazard and mata get some minutes together as they will be playing next to each other for a lot of games this season.
  18. Surely the fact he is only 20 is another reason to get more excited about him... As in he can play for loads more years and is still improving... If the alternative in that 3 is going to be Raul Merieles or Ramires, then we are entitled to get excited about the prospect of Oscar... He doesn't have to have an amazing first season, but the kid has a lot of talent, and i have no doubt our team is better with him in it that not... Adding to the fact he could have went to twattenham, makes this a great thing for Chelsea...
  19. The teams in the olympics may not be extremely great however many of them have pressed high up the pitch, causing him to have less time to pass.... Also his ball control has been great that he has often worked his own way out of situations where there isn't much on.. I honestly am not a fan of football in the olympics, but i think you are underistimating some of the teams... As i said originally he can only play against the teams they put out, and also he is only 20... Which means he should get better, and at the moment is head and shoulders above some of the other under 23 year old players that are there.
  20. Don't see why not... We haven't really given him a chance there, yet he seemed to drift over there when he was playing LW against brighton... Also he doesn't have to hug the touchline, and if he has Oscar and Mata next to him he should have more freedom, to play further up and take people on etc... Another key thing is that he is not strictly right footed as he is very talented with his left meaning he can go outside for crosses and cut inside as well...
  21. I agree that some teams do not have a lot of quality, however league one standard is a bit harsh, and he can only play against what they have, and what he has done has impressed.. Several other players haven't looked that good in the olympics, yet oscar has... So i do agree that it will not be as easy and i doubt in his first game, he will be running the show like he seems to do for brazil, however a lot of his skill that impresses me is his individual ball skills, such as range of pasisng and conrol on the ball, which doesn't really change dependant on the opposition he is up against...
