Cant we use this game to give a youth prospect a go rather than playing benayoun. Its not like they could be worse and they get some game time and experience. Rafa clearly loves him from their liverpool days.

TBH, the whole resting players thing, is getting a bit extreme. We have some of the best physios and medical team etc, and some of the fittest athletes, and whilst you cannot have players playing every game, we are going way to extreme on apparently needing to rest players every other game. We have a great team for the most part that would really benefit with some consistency for a change and to get a strong run going. Now obviously this competition has the lowest prority of them all so if we are going to rest players it may as well be today, but how about we crush them, then take two very good wins into the sunderland game, some momentum and hopefully beat them as well. Also we are at home tonight. If we can smash these today then, we can rest the whole first team next game and not have to even take them to russia. If rafa plays the strongest team today then rests a lot of them vs sunderland then he is a bigger twat than i first thought.

I still don't like seeing red in our kit. And yes i know we have had red on our kits in the past... I still own two of them. But i hate red, so would much prefer, we keep to a fully blue home kit (gold trim looks good), black away kit and white 3rd kit.

That home kit looks like they have taken last years champions league winning kit, and asked someone what they could do to fuck it up... Dreadful. I can deal with the away kit but that home kit better be fake... Especially as this years kit is so good. I get they have to release a new kit for money purposes, but why not keep the blue and gold theme and just change it a little bit. People like me will still buy it even if its only slightly different and we still have a great kit. Blue and yellow just is a no no.

I honestly don't really care who the assistent manager is. As long as Jose is the main man.

Why not... Throw him in the deep end. We have had too many occassions of people never making it here and going on countless loans so would love to see him just given a real go as he could be the next long term captain. Will it happen. Unlikely, but thats what i would like to see.

Exactly it could harm his development more playing second fiddle here, as i too think we will sign a new a new cm. I think the best thing for Josh would probably be to leave us and go to somewhere where he can be given consistency and slowly build it up. I hope he can and will succeed here, but atm i am not too sure it will happen.

I like the thinking. But realistically, the chance of him going back to our first team and "being given a go", is extremely slim imo.
