I agree with you. But i don't think him being given the undisputed no 2 role would stall his development. He would probably have a role in most games and would start a lot. Now a problem could be caused if Torres magically gets lots of gametime somehow. But with Mourinho i can't see him doing any of that shit. So him staying put would be a good thing. But if we bring someone else in, then either Ba or Torres needs to go, or Lukaku goes on loan as we don't need 4 strikers. Though i would just send Torres to the Malouda area.

I think like madrid could buy him for 50/60 mil. But Bale is their guy, they lose him and champions league football is very unlikely. Tbh, its in the clubs benefit to announce it early. Tells everyone for certain its jose, and gives us lots of time to decide who we want to bring in. Also, Premier league, chelsea and Mourinho is a great combination that many players would love to play in/under. would be good to get this announced then get going on preparing for next season.
