  1. I've pretty much settled for the fact that our business this transfer window is over
  2. Yes it's the Daily Mail but still... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2174186/Chelsea-America-Oscar-closes-transfer.html
  3. Read about this in a couple of UK newspapers though I wouldn't say they are the most reliable... Plays for Vitesse though, so Loan deals would put us in a good position. Bit worried for Sturridge and Lukaku what with the constant speculation over new strikers...
  4. It's also worth remembering that we got around £50m total earnings from winning the UCL, so in effect, we have yet to really outlay anything this transfer window. Plus with FFP nearly here (and remembering the wording that says a improvement in numbers will result in waived sanctions), now is definitely the time to spend. Which means the "OH MY GOD WE'VE SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY" argument isn't really valid I for one would LOVE him here. Roman buying exciting, young, world-class talent can only be a good thing for us
  5. This would be unbelievable!! Think it's really unlikely though, not least because if he signs for us, he will not be able to set foot in Munich ever again...
  6. That wasn't my point. I'm saying he's not as technically awful as you say. Sure he's not going to play CM next year but if he's going to play then I'd rather it was somewhere where he can play to his strengths eg wings or full backs
  7. Goal against Barca in the Nou camp would suggest otherwise
  8. http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2012/6/30/3128604/on-why-maicon-would-be-a-good-fit-for-chelsea
  9. Because we suddenly have creative attacking players? I'm not trying to question you at all I'm just curious. Portugal have Ronaldo and Nani on the wings and they are playing beautiful counter-attacking football at the Euros, I'm just saying with Hazard and possibly Hulk that a counter-attacking system could in theory work quite well.
  10. This just means the kid had a chelsea shirt and wanted it signed, it DOES NOT mean anything. Christ alive there is nothing to read into here
  11. Fine as backup to someone better but if thats our marquee right-wing signing this transfer window I will be deeply unamused
  12. Courtois is a Europa League winner... Counts for something no?
  13. Yep agreed. More cover than Sturridge? I think a Hulk/Jovetic buy would take care of that and id rather have the flexibility than a pure striker like giroud
  14. I guess though it would be weird considering the season he had this year to withdraw him and play him behind someone. Doesn't really matter anyway, we dont have a pressing need for another striker
  15. It's interesting that given his desire to play regular football, he chose a club that will have RVP and Podolski ahead of him in the pecking order next year.
  16. Think he's received a mention in passing on this forum but no real talk so I thought I'd put it up. Been talking to a Dutch friend of mine who's a big Feyenoord fan and he really rates this guy. Played mostly in the Xavi role with AZ last season and would be a good long term prospect for a creative central midfielder. Already in the mix for the Dutch senior team. Not saying we are linked with him, or that we need him as such, but i thought he was interesting enough to warrant some discussion. Anyone else seen much of him?
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18425253 Giroud to Arsenal. Him + Podolski could mean RVP is on the move...
  18. Any one or two of Azpilicueta, Schurrle, Fellaini, Martinez, Cabaye, Dzagoev, Jovetic
  19. He's played predominantly in a wide role for Russia so far, granted I haven't seen much of him at CSKA so i'll go have a hunt and see what I can find, but it would strike me that he could play that right side next to hazard and mata. There's nothing I've seen that seems to suggest he can't.
  20. Nightmare, let's hope Hulk pushes it through...
  21. Presumably the club will have a 2nd option already lined up if Hulk deal doesn't turn out but they're not linked with another right winger. Who'd be most likely 2nd choice?
  22. So saw my first of this guy in 4-1 win over the Czech Republic and was pretty impressed. I know having an opinion after one game is pretty ill-advised but what's the deal. Likely to come to the Bridge?
