  1. Looks pretty darn similar to Modric and for a fraction of the price. Go for it Emenalo!!
  2. KDB looked the business when he was playing centre midfield at Genk. As a winger, yeah he was good but I'd imagine he'll be developed as a centre midfielder. He's not particularly fast and it would seem to me putting him out on the wing would limit his effectiveness as a passer, which is his strength IMO
  3. Oh right sorry, slightly missed your point. It's tricky, I think Lampard is the only top quality option I agree. Though I reckon KDB could be there in a few seasons.
  4. It's impossible to compare Modric with Hulk seeing as they play different positions. Right Wing is a pressing need which is why we're going after Hulk. Modric is far less of a need than a player like Hulk what with the fairly large group of central midfielders we have. Though having said that I would love to have both haha
  5. Neither has been officially confirmed though... I seriously doubt those are real. I lost track of the number of fake home kits I saw before it was officially announced
  6. On the one hand we have no need for him. At all. However. Roman clearly feels he has money to burn and as a fan I don't have to answer questions like "Where am I going to play them all". Who on this forum would object to a squad full of Modric, Torres, Mata, Hazard, Hulk? I'm going to guess very few if none. Roman wants to rebuild. I'm inclined to just say go for it!! Buy anyone you want, it's only going to be fun to watch and with FPP looming, rebuilding has to be done sooner rather than later. The key thing to consider is this, Owners Equity A club is only able to make the maximum Break Even Deficit in a Monitoring Period when a corresponding amount of equity is injected into the club. Where the owner is not willing or able to inject equity, the club is only able to make a maximum loss of E5m over the first two-year Monitoring Period. Roman will foot the bill, he's shown his intent. So for me anyway, I'm inclined to cast a blind eye over potential personnel problems and just enjoy whoever he brings in.
  7. Haha ok good point. I'm saying it more as in we've shown it CAN be done rather than we are unanimously successful, so I don't necessarily think it would pose an immediate problem, given that he'll likely sit on the bench behind Iva for a fair number of games.
  8. I'd actually be pretty happy with vdW. I know a lot of people are fairly dismissive of his defence but we all saw what some good coaching did for David Luiz. He's been fantastic defensively recently. If there's a club in the Premier League that can coach him to be a more balanced right back it's Chelsea.
  9. Hey Guys, Thought I'd take the plunge and join. I'm from London and within sight of the Bridge. I've supported Chelsea all my life but unfortunately I'm not going to be in England for the next couple of years so I'll need some chelsea fans to keep in contact with haha. Hope I'll have some good stuff to add
