  1. For me Vidal is one of the best midfielders in the last decade. The only player I can remember who matched his combination of pace, athleticism, strength, passing, shooting, defending and workrate was Essien at his prime. Come on Jose and Roman, make it happen! There are reports Pogba will stay until 2016 which means there is more chance for Vidal to leave. He is a player that will take us to a whole new level. Fingers crossed we are at least interested in him.
  2. I completely agree with RhesusReus and he makes his points perfectly. The transfer market is not just about signing class players, its about us improving our weaknesses and I don't see how Sterling can help us in anyway in the second category. Just because a player is young it doesn't mean they're gonna magically improve on their weaknesses, not to mention the ability to finish is one of the most instinctive traits there is. It can't just simply be sorted. It's a sad world where some actually think Sterling is better player than Ozil and Mata. Those two are simply classes above him.
  3. Selling him would be a tragic mistake, unless we get an extraordinary offer (50m+). People need to realize here we don't need to sell Oscar to be able to afford a top replacement. Even if Oscar is not going to start every game, the effect he has on the depth of our team + he is pretty talented to say the least makes it worth keeping him. That being said, taking in the fact this is the first season he doesn't get worked like a dog prior to and actually has a proper pre-season, if he doesn't manage to perform well and consistently, he should be sold. However, I'm very optimistic he can really evolve this season and improve massively consistent wise. Let's believe the pre-season will prevent Oscar to be completely drained out by the second half of the season and we will get to see him at top form consistently throughout the year. Like someone said few pages ago, watching Oscar on form is basically Football Porn.
  4. The more I think about it the more it looks like Jose is doing Mendes a favor. I think its a bad signing and a waste of wages. I hope I'm wrong about all this though.
  5. I meant other options as in not neccesarily the RW position. Why not spend it on B2B player or a centre-back which we desperately need. Someone like Vidal, Varane, even Kondogbia which we missed out on, not sure we were even in for him.
  6. Better than spending 30m on a player who will just add to the number of AM's in the team who cant score. I hope we're not signing him just for the sake of signing someone. There are better options to spend our money on.
  7. I really doubt Barca are even in for him. Turan would be mad to go there because he will either get loaned out/not play only to be benched when the ban is over because clearly he is not going to start over any of the players in the starting XI. I think we will get him, but I must say this is not enough. We need a B2B player. Above all I think we need a centre-back. I don't believe we can win the Champions League with Cahill unless we park it because that seems like the only approach that suits Cahill. He simply isn't reliable when he doesn't have other players protecting him.
  8. Gutted for Juve. Massive respect for this legend though. 2003, Champions League Final. Best in the world. 12 Years later. Champions League final. Still best in the world.
  9. Dear lord it's fun to look back 10 months in this thread and see plenty of people saying he will be another Demba Ba. The boy has always had class. He showed it in Newcastle by not only by scoring goals but being very good in his general game as well. Now he is doing with us. Call me deluded but I seriously think with the way he keeps playing and improving he is not far off challenging Costa for the starting position. However, at the moment all I expect from Mourinho is more rotation. Starting 6 games for a player who can start in almost all premier league clubs when you have an injury-prone Costa and an ageing Drogba is a crime. I don't mind Falcao coming here only if it doesn't mean Loic will get less playtime. I remember in the first few months of the season Jose started Drogba instead of Remy a lot of times when Costa was injured. I hope we don't see any of that with Falcao coming in.
  10. Guys, I posted that picture two pages ago! I tweeted @Carefreedaily. My friend Mohammad photoshopped the pic. But that doesn't change that he is coming isn't it?
  11. Fucking hell nearly 2:30 AM here in Canada after I've just watched the Last Got episode. Game starts in an hour and a half wondering whether I should sleep until then or just wait haha. Anyways, will be an exciting game, hopefully the crowd will make it more special. Last time I stayed up until 4 AM to watch a Chelsea game was the Fifa Club's World Cup final against Corinthians. I was livid that day, Torres miss at the end didn't help either. lol
  12. Tell 'em to make a Moh Salah fan of the year category. Don't need to exchange anything for votes in there mate.
  13. Can any of you name anyone other than Costa and Hazard who can score goals on regular basis in our team? Yes, Oscar can score goals, but he has no consistency to show for it. Not only that, his place in the team is in huge danger since Willian has thrived in the #10 role. In games against big opponents we can't rely only on Hazard and Costa to score goals. This is why Griezmann, being a prolific goalscorer that he is, will be a huge signing for us. As someone mentioned above, Hazard and Fabregas are already in top three chances created in the league. Anybody else can't wait for this to happen?
  14. No need to make any drama out of this. Costa clearly seems more than happy to be here.
  15. Mark my words: Griezmann will prove he is worth every single penny of that £45m. I know we bought Fabregas, Costa, Matic, etc. for bargain prices but asking every deal to be like that is too much. After all, we shouldn't forget United bought Di Maria for £64m. You also have to include the different factors that come into play when you buy a player. Atleti feel no need to sell the player, he has a couple of years left on his contract and also is a very talented player at 24. What about Chelsea? Well, we are in desperate need of a right winger who can score goals, which means Atletico will inevitably try to sell him at his release clause. Tbh when you consider these factors £45m is not even that bad.
  16. He's literally throwing it as hard as he can.
  17. Mourinho: “Envy is the biggest tribute that the shadows do to the man.”
  18. True Blue indeed. https://instagram.com/p/3HDIzwqgHN/
  19. I think if he keeps this level going and if he gets played down the middle, he will truly become a world class player. What impresses me the most about him is ironically his decision making. It has improved massively over the past few months, leading to him imo becoming our best player at the moment. Griezmann - Willian - Hazard. It's mouthwatering.
  20. Jose Mourinho is invited on-pitch and makes straight for 'Blonde Maradona' to give him a hug. P.s: Blonde Maradona = Eidur Gudjohnsen
  21. Jose said he hopes to give Boga his debut against Sunderland. I'll be over the moon if this happens. Unbelievable talent. For me he is the most talented in our academy.
  22. Tomorrow will probably be the last time we see him play at the bridge, if he's gonna play at all. I hope him and Cech will get the reception they deserve. #KingofAfrica #Legend
