Why does Luiz keep taking freekicks ? Mata, Hazard, Oscar all seem better suited for it.
-
We'll see about that won't we.
-
Not the greatest performance from him but he should have gotten a penalty and he really ran his ass off. That Mata Hazard combination was magnificent. Great so see them link up so well. Hopefullly RDM will play Hazard-Mata-Oscar next game.
-
Understand what you mean but he's been getting praise like that since he was 16y old and performed well in the u17 tournament for Belgium. He's already used to it so i wouldn't worry to much about it. He's very level head and he handles pressure very well. Thats actually 1 of the reasons why i have no doubts he will succeed
-
Well i kinda did it to get Mata and Oscar both in the midfield and also because i like Hazard to be high up the pitch. He has the tendency to drop deep to ask the ball. Sometimes even in the zone where Lampard and Mikel are playing but i prefer him to play more between the lines. You know between the oppositions central defenders and the DM and CM's. Also i wanted to get 2 actual wingers on the wings.
-
Yes as a false 9. It's not that weird ?
-
Calm down. It was just a line up that i had in mind. True Hazard is not a striker but he has got the skills to play as a false 9 like Messi. Romeu has shown potential but there must be a reason why RDM isn't giving him any time on the pitch. Marin does seem to be injury prone but he is a good type of player to play in this lineup as with a 4-3-3 your winger create width(doesn't drift inside) and depth(fast and always looking to get on the end of a through ball) 2 things which Marin is good at.

in a couple of years : Courtois Azpi - Cahill - Luiz - Bertrand New DM Mata - Oscar Moses -------------------------- Marin Hazard :blue scalf: What do you guys think ?

Great read. Loved this part: Eden was 12, and we got a free-kick a few metres outside the area. He took a couple of paces and bent it round the wall into the top corner. It was an incredible goal for a lad his age, but the referee said he hadnβt whistled and disallowed it. βThierry was standing next to me, and while we were all shaking our heads, he shouted, βIβd like to see you do that again, sonβ. βEden calmly put the ball down, waited for the whistle and clipped it in the same top corner. It was a carbon copy of the first one. Even by his standards, it amazed us all, and Thierry turned to me and said, βI think he did that to annoy me!β

Would you call Iniesta or Xavi uneffective ? They don't get a lot of assists or goals but they do massively contribute to their team. This is the same for Mata. He's playing in a different role now. Less assists and goals but vital to our attacking game.
-
Let's just call him ass-pie. Short and simple.
-
I get what you mean with the "it looks like he doesn't care and isn't trying" but he always looks like that. I think it's just his demeanor on the field. He looks indifferent but i don't think he really is. When he plays great people don't notice it but when he plays bad then automatically people will start to look at a player closer. I actually love that about him. Everything he does seems so easy to him. Everything he does looks so effortless. Even when he runs at full speed with the ball it looks like he's just cruising. His turns(against wigan and against Reading) for example. Looks very simple but the level of awareness and ball control it takes to make those turns is insane. Totally don't agree on the "going down easy". Given his size ? The guys like a mini tank. I think your underestimating his strenght. He's not a player you can just push over.

Has this been confirmed ? I thought RDM said it was just a slight knock?(before the game against Brighton)

@Land Ehm actually no it's not. A nr 10's job is to link up play between midfield and the forwards, creating chaos by running between the lines, making diagonal runs in the back of the LW and RW. Basically creating chances and doing as much damage as possible. What your talking about is a deep lying playmaker. These guys are the ones who receive the ball from the back four and distribute the ball to the forwards. The only reason a nr 10 would drop deep to ask the ball is if he feels he's not getting on the ball enough or if his team has no deep lying playmaker and is struggling with distributing the ball. Personally i don't like it when a nr 10 drops deep. Because of it you lose a player in front of the ball I prefer my nr 10 to play on the half of the opponent. Ozil has Alonso as DLP. Silva has TourΓ© and Xavi is a DLP.

I agree that playing Oscar in the double pivot of a 4-2-3-1 would not work. I would prefer if we played a 4-3-3 like the one Semia 7 suggested. ----------------------------Torres Hazard----------------------------------------------Mata --------------------Oscar------Ramires/Lamps ---------------------Romeu/Essien/Mikel That way Oscar can be the deeplying playmaker supplying Hazard/Mata and Torres while still being able to roam and make his forward runs. That would also suit Ramires and Lamps more as they could make their runs from the secondary line.It would also relieve the number 6 (Romeu/Essien/Mikel) from them passing forward and having to supply our front 3.
-
Euh.. because he's a great player and in order for him to adapt to the PL he needs to play... Kinda obvious no?
-
Why wouldn't he start ?
-
I know what you mean, a lot of people think so but he really isn't like that. He's confident but not arrogant. These kind of interviews proves that.
-
@ CHOULO 19 For a change ? He's always been modest in his interviews.

"You guys" ? So what if other Belgian members overrated him. I can't do anything about that. That doesn't mean that my opinion doesn't count anymore. What kind of FU logic is that.
-
This is getting ridiculous. Yes Kojo Ligue 1 is weaker then the PL, however it is still 1 of the 5 top competitions in Europe and when you make your debut at 16 in that league, become a starter at 17, win the most talented player of ligue 1 award (2 times in a row) and then win the best player of ligue 1 award (2 times in a row, youngest player to win it), your capable of more then " a bit fancy on the ball ". All the topclubs have wanted him for years. So you think you know better then all their top scouts? You've watched him play a couple of games and 3 preseason games. I 've watched almost all his games for the last 2 years. So no offense but i'm pretty sure i have a better grasp at what he's capable of and trust me it's more then " a bit fancy on the ball". So how about you just give the lad a break and give him a couple of months to settle in before you start writting him off already.
-
So your argument for me disagreeing with you is because i'm Belgian ? I' mean cmon give the guy some time. He's 21 y old and he's had 3 games with his new club. A bit quick to write him off no?
