This probably relates to me considering i mentioned mindgames but with mindgames i meant the comments he made about city. First bigging them up the entire season and then 2 days before we play them he starts slagging them off at every opportunity he gets. That is a conscious choice Mourinho is making. About the West Ham comment i think that was just frustration. I was pissed off after the West Ham game as a lot of us were. Seeing how Mourinho is a lot closer to the team then we are. it makes sense that he'd also be extremely frustrated. When you then get a mic shoved under your nose a half an hour after the game it's understandable that he'd make such a comment.

Yes we've spent alot of money aswell these last 2 years but that's irrelevant. FFP rules aren't about spending but about keeping your finances in check. We're complying with FFP rules City are not. That was the point Mourinho was making. The reason why City are "fully confident" in complying with the FFP rules is because their sheik is going to pump hundreds of millions into City under the disguise of a sponsor deal. Basically completely taking the piss out of FFP.
-
Well about city's spending. He's got a point no ? Most teams are abiding by the FFP but City clearly have no intentions of doing so. Also when we spent lots of money there was no rule saying that we couldn't. Now we've got the FFP. Mourinho is who he is we all know he likes to play mindgames. He doesn't give a damn about being called a hypocrite as the only thing he's concerned with is his own team. He'll use anything he can to destabillize or piss opponents of if he thinks that would help his team win.

I know but my last sentence was more a general conclusion and wasn't really meant specifically for you. (Should have been more clear, my bad) Honestly, when you logically think about it the choice IS clear. A top quality 31 y old goalkeeper or a top quality 21 y old goalkeeper. However people's opinions are, understandably, being clouded by sentiment. Cech has been an important part of our success in the last 10 years. So it makes sense for people to have difficulties with this.
-
The thing is you're only looking out for the interest of Chelsea and Cech and completely ignoring Courtois his interest. Courtois and his father just want what's best for his career. That means playing. You basically want him to come here and play second fiddle to Cech while we slowly faze him out ? And your upset that he's not taking that deal out of some sense of gratitude for loaning him out to Atletico ? What you want simply isn't possible you've got 2 Goalkeepers who are good enough to be our nr1. We need to choose one and let the other one go. I'd prefer choosing the one with the most years left to give.
-
How many of those goalkeepers had bad elbows and knees ? IF it comes down to selling Cech or selling Courtois the choice is a pretty clear one.

Will any youngsters make it at Chelsea anymore?
Belgiannutt replied to duo11bluecl's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
1, 2 maybe 3 of them. Most of the players out on loan were never meant to be in the first team here. We buy young players with potential, loan them out so they develop. We keep the best, who we think can be Chelsea quality and sell the rest off when they've developed a bit and are worth a nice penny. That's the plan. -
i only saw the first half but looked solid. He didn't have much to do as Valenciennes was really poor. Had 1 sloppy pass to the side that went out for a throw in. Looked tidy though in possession. He's not a ball playing defender but he's not poor at it either. Made a nice intervention when left winger tried to cut inside on his right foot. Was strong in the air. Like i said crazy leaping abillity. Gets as high as goalkeepers do with their arms.
-
Don't agree with you. one of Hazard's main qualities is holding up the ball. A lot of the times he's even able to turn his marker due to his low centre of gravity and pace. "He's more suited to running at other players" and you think he won't be able to run at players when he plays as a false 9 ? Messi would strongly disagree. Really underestimating his strenght. Like i said before he's a smart player that knows how to draw fouls. Been plenty of challenges on him where he stayed on his feet when he could have gone down. Why would he try and beat players shoulder to shoulder when he can outrun most of them ? Also for people saying his finishing isn't good enough or that a false 9 only works with Messi or on FIFA. You do realize that the False 9 existed before Messi right ? It wasn't used that much but it existed nonetheless. Also the primary role of a false 9 is that of a creator not a goalscorer.
-
Showcased his insane leaping abillity in the first half. Really is crazy how high he gets without even running up to it.
-
Kinda the definition of a false 9 mate...
-
First of all Hazard is excellent at holding up the ball. Don't really get why you're bringing up the Vidic tackle since Hazard himself couldn't do anything about it and Vidic was just frustrated and tackled with no intention of getting the ball. Second He's a smart player that knows how to draw fouls however that doesn't mean that he's weak. I think a lot of people underestimate his strenght. Also about a striker needing to be "all muscular" 1 word : Aguero.

Would be awesome if Mourinho did this. Well.... *DREAM MODE ON* What if we spend £30 million on Reus instead of Costa and played. Hazard upfront with Reus-Oscar-Willian.
-
He seems to be playing a lot on the number 10 position in this game aswell.
-
Think he means as a false 9, so alone upfront.
-
Would love Hazard to become a false 9. Central position, license to roam, less defensive work, focal point for the attack so he'd be seeing a lot of the ball. Can't see it happening though. Don't think Mourinho likes the concept of a false 9.
-
Was it this game ?
-
I agree that Kroos isn't needed because he's not a player for a 2 man midfield. I meant that we only need 1 defensive minded player in our midfield (Matic) while next to him we need to get someone who can spray the ball around and help set the tempo so we can stretch and eventually breakdown these teams. Ramires can't do that.
-
They really aren't. When teams sit deep we only need 1 DM sitting in front of the defence. That guy should be Matic. Against teams that sit deep Ramires is useless going forward. Honestly the stronger we get as a team the more teams are gonna park the bus like West Ham did.
-
Fully agree with you. Don't get why so many people don't see a cm as a priority. Look at any top team in the world you'll see a dlp running around in their midfield.
-
Part 1 and part 2 compilation of this season so far.
-
You do realize he's their best defender right ?
-
Can't believe he's actually pretending to be the victim here while he was the one who was trying to rile people up in the first place.
-
Think i struck a nerve. Oh come on don't be like that. You think that's gonna get you banned ? Christ you suck at being a troll.
-
Old but still awesome.
