  1. Not happening. Real already bought Navas and they still have Casillas. Would make absolutely zero sense for them to buy Cech. goal.com is about as reliable as the daily mail. Occasionally they'll get it right but the majority off the time they're just making shit up.
  2. No offense but i don't think that's what Mourinho meant. I think he meant that to get the best out of Fabregas we had to make our midfield 3 more fluid in the way they move. He's not an 8 because at times he'll drop off and demand the ball from the CB's (like a 6 normally does) but he's not a 6 either because at times he'll be in a more advanced position inside the final third of the opposition (like an 8 normally does). So not an 8 or a 6. The middleground is a "7". (this basically has nothing to do with the 7 winger position) Mourinho just confirmed what the majority of us already knew, that Fabregas likes to both orchestrate attacks from deep but also likes to attack from a more advanced position and infiltrate the oppositions defence. (goal vs Ferencvaros)
  3. Well i suppose that depends on what personnel you put on the wingback positions. Putting actual fullbacks on the wingback makes it a more pragmatic tactic, then the 4-2-3-1, while putting wingers on those positions makes it a more risky tactic Mourinho seems to be using the 3-5-2 as his all out attack tactic. We've only seen the formation when we were down a goal or when we were level and had to win. I don't think he considers it an actual "starting" tactic. and honestly speaking i don't think we should start with that tactic. Everytime we've played the 3-5-2 it's been a bit chaotic at the back. It seems to be an all or nothing tactic the way Mourinho uses it.
  4. Well i think he slows down, at times he even walks up to defenders with the ball , because he wants to bait the defender or have him stand still so he can then use his burst of speed to blow right by him. I mean Hazard has a good dose of pace on him but the majority off the fullbacks do aswell so his main weapon to use is that burst of speed he has over the first 10-20 yards. It's there where he makes the difference. Also on the counter i always get the feeling when he slows down it's because he's waiting for a teammate to make a run so he can play him in or drive at the space that the run made.
  5. Not often but how often does he actually get into a situation where he can go one on one with the defender, where there's massive amount of space in behind ? Rarely. Last season there were usually 2 players waiting for Hazard with a third closing off the space behind them which made knocking the ball past those 2 defenders difficult to do as the third would just step in and clear the ball. I've said it before but when Hazard gets into one on one situations he usually goes for it. It's just that teams rarely let that happen as they know how dangerous Hazard can be in those situations. Like you said in your post i really believe Luis will give him that bit of extra space he needs, to have a go at players. There was actually a nice example of this against Besiktas, when Hazard takes out 2 players and draws the foul. Luis his run made that possible as he took away 1 of Besiktas players leaving Hazard in a 1 on 1 situation with one of their central midfielders.
  6. Come on, Oscar was great in the first 3 months of the season but then it went downhill fast. Seriously he didn't singlehandidly carry us. In the first half of the season(19 pl games) he ended up scoring 5 goals and assisting 1. Putting that into perspective Hazard,in the same period, scored 8 goals (1 penalty) and 4 assists. So singlehandidly carried us my ass. Basically what's already been said, hard work only gets you so far. He needs to contribute to our attack. Whether that's scoring goals, assisting or starting attacks from deep doesn't really matter but he has to contribute in some way to our attack.
  7. Time zone difference . Game starts : UK (GMT +1) 19h 30 Israel (GMT +3) 21h 30 Turkey (GMT +3) 21h 30 So if your living in Israel the game starts at 21h 30 (local time)
  8. What are you talking about ? In his entire career he's probably played on the 10 for about 10-15 games. At Lille he only played there for a couple of games in his final season and ended up scoring or assisting every game he played there so i highly doubt you've seen him "fail at it too many times". Also didn't he play on the 10 for Chelsea against Basel in the europacup ? Think it was 2 years ago. I remember him being excellent that game. Honestly i could see Hazard moving to the nr 10 position if he adds some more consistency to his game. I'd only want Reus if Hazard gets moved to the 10 position. Otherwise Reus would have to play on the right wing which isn't his best position. He's a left winger or a 10 not really a right winger, imo.
  9. His best position is on the 8, orchestrating our attacks from deep. That is why we bought him. That's what we lacked. Last season, against teams that parked the bus, we struggled to get the ball to our front four that's where Fabregas comes in. He needs to be the one feeding our attackers from deep. Finding them in tight spaces. Against the parked bus it should be Matic-Fabregas-Oscar/Willian midfield. Against top teams i think a midfield off Matic-Ramires-Fabregas is the way to go. ( whether that's in 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 doesn't really matter that much.)
  10. I think he'll probably play. We only have 4 preseason games left (including this one). So there's not a lot of time to get used to the new signings and get 100% match fit. He'll probably get 30-45 minutes. All depends in what shape he already is.
  11. You don't have to be a foreigner to be biased toward a player a.k.a being a fanboy. People born in London can have favorite players too no ? edit: Sorry jason didn't see your post. Won't post anymore about this.
  12. Look i'm really sorry about what happened to your crush. Like you said it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor we all have hurdles to jump in life but you really seem to be exaggerating what Torres is going through. He's got a nice family, a nice bank account and he's still getting regular playing time at a top club. His life really isn't as bad as you're making it out to be. I really don't understand why you suddenly feel the need to sympathize with Torres. I also find it extremely weird that you think he deserves credit for not " throwing tantrums, moaning, complaining, giving the fans the middle finger, whatever". What exactly does he have to throw tantrums, moan, complain or give fans the middle finger about ? The club and supporters have been nothing but supportive towards Torres. We've tried everything we could to get him scoring.
  13. Come on Barbara , you can't pull the victim card for Torres. He makes 185k a week. 185.000 in 7 days. There are people that don't even make that kind of money in 10 years. and you want us to feel sympathy for Torres because he "tries". Sorry but no.
  14. You do realize what you just said is also extremely biased, right ? I mean you just admitted to ignoring people's opinion because of their nationality. I could even call that rascist but since there's already enough drama in this topic i'll just leave it at biased.
  15. People seriously need to calm down. Lukaku wanted significant playing time. He wasn't gonna get it here (rightly so), so he left. End off. Why some people need to add so much drama and insult Lukaku, i really don't understand. Oh and to the person that hopes Chelsea fans will boo Lukaku : Get a grip. He 's done nothing to deserve getting booed.
  16. I find it difficult to really have an opinion on this whole Lukaku business. A lot of people are slamming the board or slamming Lukaku based on assumptions they're making. I prefer to wait until (IF) the move actually happens and i know who it was that pushed for the move. If Lukaku wants to leave then you can't really blame Mourinho or the board for selling him. If Mourinho doesn't rate Lukaku and wants to sell him then you can't blame Lukaku for moving to another club. Honestly i'm okay with whatever happens. If Lukaka goes to another club then that means he either didn't wanna fight for his spot or that Mourinho didn't rate Lukaku. If he stays then that means Lukaku wants to fight for his spot and that Mourinho rates him.
  17. Why would we want him to only go to an english team if the switch was permanent ? That doesn't really make a lot of sense. If we were to put any limitations on a permanent move wouldn't it make more sense to do the opposite ? Have him join a foreign team rather then an english one ?
  18. Jerking each other ? People are criticising Torres for the miss and having a laugh. Trust me the people laughing are doing it so they can hold back the tears cause those people realise that we're going to have another year of watching this guy walking around in a Chelsea shirt doing all kinds of embarrassing stuff. Well any role that has little or no playing time is a good role for Torres so i agree he'll be excellent at it. Too bad about the 185 k we'll have to pay him each week.
  19. Given your dislike for techno music i'd mute this one. And scoutnation video again.
  20. Not really in depth but here's a video of Costa vs Real with english commentary. No music. Really shows his fightermentality and his clever off the ball movement, I think the scoutnation video is also a pretty good video. He really seems like a handfull for central defenders. clever runs, extremely alert and he doesn't shy away from a physical battle.
  21. Anyone tried throwing some salt on him ? That might do the trick.
  22. Seriously ? Players are okay with that ? What the hell.
